Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. The Lakehouse can now be reached by boat as well, as guest dockage is available at the new gorgeous bayside locale.

Absolutely loved the atmosphere and decor. Food was a bit pricey but absolutely worth it. Our server was also very nice and took care of me and my partner very well. First time coming here and definitely would come back for the future.

Absolutely delicious! All 4 of us had different meals (salmon, scallops, pork chop, steak frites) and everything was outstanding!

Steak frites was extremely salty, my salad was supposed to have candied almonds but there wasn’t one on the plate. My Diet Coke was flat and I had to give it back. The lanterns going up the wood steps in back are so dirty and broke, you charge 8$ for ONE shrimp you can’t replace the lanterns? Not at all a good experience

Our server was attentive and courteous. Food was excellent, we had apps, main course and desserts….plus drinks. View of course was beautiful.

Our "Go To" experience for first class food, cocktails, service and ambience. For special occasions or no special occasion. The setting is perfect overlooking the Great South Bay. Service is attentive and friendly. A lovely lunch with good friends and able to linger taking in the view. Save room for dessert!

We have been coming here for years and it never disappoints. The food was delicious , the service excellent and the wine list extensive. They have a tremendous selection. This is by far one of our favorite restaurants.
