Since 2006, The LakeHouse restaurant has been the jewel of Bay Shore, NY. In the summer of 2016, owners Eileen & Matthew Connors and Jay Gut moved locations to a brand new dockside treasure. With stunning views and multiple fireplaces, comfortable seating for 100+ guests, two lounge areas, deck overlooking the Great South Bay, and both an indoor tavern room and a waterfront bar, The Lakehouse is touted by many as “one of the best restaurants on Long Island.” At night, the deck is illuminated, as is the waterfront lounge area where guests can congregate for after-dinner cocktails. This New American fine dining experience is not to be missed. The Lakehouse can now be reached by boat as well, as guest dockage is available at the new gorgeous bayside locale.

    Found the restaurant quite expensive for what we ate last evening. Couldn’t even find a wine for less than $70. Not rushing back anytime soon.

    Food was not good. Meat was cold, no serving utensils for charcuterie board, portions very small for the price, Resturant very cold, over priced. My medium steak was very rare and bloody. Never go back

    First, the valet was charming & professional. The hostess was also busy, but charming. We were seated. Gus took our drink order; then our table was taken over by an indifferent, borderline rude, waitress. The food was exceptional. The vibe was fun. But the waitress almost spoiled our experience.

    As usual, my wife and I had a pleasant dining experience at Lake House. With another couple we enjoyed our meal very much. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We definitely recommend this restaurant. I had venison for the first time and loved it. The tuna tartare is great. We’ve never been disappointed with our food choices. Check it out!!

    As always a delicious perfect restaurant experience. The food is Michelin star worthy with specials and. main stay dishes that are always perfectly seasoned and cooked. The view makes you feel like you are on a wonderful vacation. My favorite restaurant on LI. I cannot wait until I can go back!!
