The Kitchen @ Stonebrier
The shrimp blt, was good ,the macaroni salad was bland . Our server was nice but for to bring 2 things
Quick cordial service. Tables socially distanced. Delicious food (Turkey potpie with salad). Comfortable setting, relaxed atmosphere. Definitely a place to return to!!
Good food, great staff. Have only had brunch, will go again for dinner
All was very nice EXCEPT, the hostess who seated us and delivered some of our food, was wearing her mask under her nose. This improper use of the mask made us VERY uncomfortable. Too bad, it ruined an otherwise very nice meal.
Good food, beautiful setting
This was our first time eating out since March, and we were happy that we chose The Kitchen as the place to dine out (outside eating area was perfect with social distancing and had a nice comfortable setting) .
The friendly staff and great food also makes our decision simple the next time we feel like dining out .
Great food, great customer service, the outdoor patio is lovely.
Nice lunch spot. My girlfriend and I needed a spot with an outside patio for safe distancing.
A very good “dining atmosphere”. White table cloths would be an appropriate addition. The menu is great for meat eaters but somewhat weak for the non-flesh consumers. So often pasta is a heavy offering as an option. The outdoor seating area offers a pleasant area with space.
First time eating here. Brunch was delicious. Will definitely come back.
With good friends and we’re not in a hurry
Our server was amazing and the food was spectacular! I will be returning again, and again, and again!
The atmosphere was very pleasant, our requests were accommodated, (had a 4 year old with us) the drinks, service and food very good. We ordered sautéed shrimp, filet and stroganoff. The only reason I’m not giving an excellent rating on everything was that the chef was just a little strong with seasonings. (Garlic especially.) I’m saying that for my taste, the food was very good, “almost” perfect. We will go back.
Great service and the food tasted delicious! We all got salads. They were great!
Finally got to celebrate friends birthday and had a wonderful time! Thanks
Ambiance was elegant, beautiful, clean, food was fresh, flavorful and the shrimp salad was very delectable!
Great date night. Food was great and entertainment was nice.
We felt very welcomed, directed to our reserved seating promptly, had an excellent server Regina! The food was delicious my short ribs just felt apart my mouth is still watering from how delicious 🤤 and the guitarists tonight was the sweetest man sung my friend and I a love song 💜 I will definitely be back soon ✨
Food was good. Service was very slow. It seemed they were very short handed
No review necessary..……………………………………………..Good food.
Food was great, service was great, wine list good and reasonably priced.
Wonderful place to dine.
Asked whose birthday it was but didn’t do anything for it.
Grilled cheese sandwich was all bread very little cheese
Great service showed up slightly early for a reservation food was phenomenal highly recommend
Our server was attentive initially and then it was a rather long wait for food arrive & we didn’t see too much of him the entire time. They seemed fully staffed & the restaurant wasn’t full so was surprised service wasn’t better. I had the California Omelet that was worth the wait! Incredible flavors - best omelet I’ve ever eaten. Potatoes & fresh fruit along side & large portions. I took 1/2 of it home. Husband had the buffet & he raved about the biscuit, said the gravy was pretty bland, scrambled eggs weren’t that good so not a biggie that they ran out of them, bacon was good & sausages tasted homemade & very good. Buffet comes with potatoes & fruit too: pineapple, cantaloupe, blueberries. Very nice place for Sunday brunch. Fairly quiet except for the laughter & louder voices in the Kitchen (Kitchen opens into Dining Room so sound travels). Very nice decor. Patio dining has heaters. We ate inside. Pastries looked delicious but we passed. Coffee was good & 2nd cup was served in a new cup rather than filling at the table. We’ll go back & husband said he’ll order from the menu next time. Good place for adult get togethers.
AS ALWAYS WE ENJOYED THE KITCHEN @ STONEBRIER! ALL WAS GOOD ALL THE WAY AROUND!
HAD A GREAT WAITER, ENTERTAINMENT AND DINNER. THE NEW LOOK IS GREAT!!
I liked this place and will go back. But they sat us in front of the glass refrigerator. I know that was there when the place was a bakery. They should cover it up nicely or get rid of it. Also my baked potato was undercooked and cold.
I was entirely pleased with the lunch. We are two old friends who worked together 35 years ago. It was the perfect venue for us to reconnect and reminisce. All in all, it was a lovely experience.
It was a Monday night so the restaurant was slow. That said, there was still live music. I appreciated the music level as it was enjoyable but you were also able to have a conversation without talking loud. Enjoyed the deviled eggs. Our party enjoyed salmon, prime rib and short rib. All proteins were of good portion and cooked perfectly. Sides included the scampi, risotto, sautéed spinach and broccolini. They did not disappoint. Finished off with bread pudding and chocolate pie. Will definitely return. Server was attentive and pleasant.
We went for my husband's birthday. We always love this place and have been several times. It was Restaurant Week and very busy. I made reservations through Open Table. I had asked for a round table and was very impressed I received a call from someone telling me they only have a big round one in the kitchen. I called back and left a message that they received my message. I was impressed about the attention to detail.
The food is always good. I would have liked the music to last a little longer. It ended at 8:15 pm. The service was a little slow to get started because they were very busy, but once it started it was very good.
Some of our group decided to return for brunch on Sunday. Will definitely return again.
Wonderful meal and service. Great original menu choices! Love the live music, too.
Just go and find out for your self.
You will not be disappointed.
My husband got the lamb which was ok. I got the tomato soup and mac & cheese which were both delicious!! Live music was awesome. The complimentary tapenade was delicious as well. Our waitress was nervous but I think she may have been new.
I would definitely recommend this place to a friend. Stonebrier is an awesome place to dine; great ambience, great food and outstanding customer service!
The restaurant is very quaint and tastefully decorated. The ambiance was amazing. They had a guitar player that was very good and his music was tasteful and was easy to listen to. The food and service was also very impressive. Our order was taken right away and we did not wait long at all to be served. The food was very well prepared and very tasty. We certainly will be returning soon. We definitely will be recommending it to all our friends.
We went for a New Years Eve dinner with family and friends. We were never told that there was a special menu that was VERY expensive. We did opt to stay because it’s not something any of us ever do, but it was absolutely not worth it. I got the Surf ‘n Turf and my food was very good, but others who got different meals did not like theirs. The service was severely lacking, especially when we were paying such a high amount for our meals. I’ve been to The Kitchen before and have had excellent service, but we had a server I’ve never had before and they just seemed like they do not want to be there and it showed in their service to us.
They had a fixed menu on NYE and it was not as good as the normal menu.
We waited an hour to get our food. Mind you the place the was empty. We received the wrong order after waiting over an hour and our food was cold.
Seemed a little overpriced. A nice ambiance with live music. Still a nice option for a dining experience in Stockton. Table cloths would have been a nice accompaniment along with a more imaginative vegetarian menu. We will still give it another chance.
I booked The Kitchen for our office Christmas party. We were a party of 8 and got to sit at the 'kitchen' table, which was pretty neat. The staff were all extremely accommodating and the food was excellent. I will definitely be returning.
