A charming, traditional family run pub. Located in the Kentish countryside, between Tonbridge and Sevenoaks, it is known for its homemade food, local ales, and cozy atmosphere with low, oak-beamed ceilings and open fireplaces. The new Garden Room is a fully enclosed, naturally lit space with "wall to wall glass curtains" offering views of the Kent countryside, featuring underfloor heating and designed for various occasions.

We discovered this place by accident and have been back twice. Great Sunday Roast; friendly service and ambience.

1st time we visited, as a ‘halfway location’ to meet-up with friends. Previously it was fully booked, so need to book. Lovely historic country pub with a lovely garden room/restaurant addition. Beautiful outdoor setting for sunny days too although we went in the evening. Staff were very cheerful & efficient on a very busy Friday night. Food was hot, well presented & tasty. Will certainly visit again.

Good meal the portions weren’t as large as before but adequate. The desserts were ok but expensive for the portion size.

We decided to have the Sunday roast and we were so glad we did ! I had the KR roast which was amazing. My husband went for the chicken and it didn’t disappoint. The food was hot , the meat was tender and the roast potatoes were crunchy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. The service was excellent and we received a warm welcome! What a good find and we will absolutely be back . Well done the Kentish Rifleman. So hard to find a good roast but you meet our expectations.

A perfect Sunday lunch. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. Only small minor delay at times but this is because they were so busy. We didn't mind at all. I would highly recommend. Even though there were many customers it was still tranquil and relaxing. Thank you.

Lovely ambiance in the garden room.fascinating view and pheasants in the field!! Lovely outside seating area. Food served in a timely manner and very delicious.
