Our Story The Lobster Roll originated in Connecticut and quickly spread in popularity throughout New England. The much debated topic is the “proper” way in which to eat a lobster roll… the original was served with warm butter and lemon juice, while many now serve it cold tossed in mayo and other secret ingredients. How ever you love it, there truly is no wrong way to enjoy a lobster roll! Having grown up in Connecticut and spending summers along the shores of Nantucket we wanted to bring our love for Lobster Rolls and Fresh Seafood to the Low Country. There’s no better way to spend an evening than relaxing on our patio with friends, opening a crisp bottle of white wine, sharing peel & shrimp, and ordering a lobster roll. While we may not be in Nantucket, visiting The Jetty, will transport you there… if only for an hour!

My husband reserved here on OpenTable and got a confirmation so imagine our surprise when we went to the address given and found it closed! Bummer! Also, what the heck!

The jetty has the audacity to claim it has the best lobster roll in town and that simply isn’t true. The measly portion was not worth the price

It’s been a while since I’ve had a good slaw dog and Jetty’s Lobster & Raw Bar did not disappoint. It was a delicious dining experience and I recommend it to anyone. Definitely need to make reservations because there’s not a lot of seating and not sure if walk up can be accommodated. There was no sign outside when we visited as their sign was recently stolen so it’s not easy to find.

I went on a date there on a Friday. It was rather easy to get a reservation compared to most places in Charleston at that time. The is a happy hour that ends at $7 and is for drinks only. We got frozen drinks and they were okay. We split a dozen oysters and they were incredible! Then we got one Boston Rolls and one Connecticut roll. They buns were incredible, but I wish that there was more lobster meat. Overall a decent experience, but it definitely is on the higher end of the price range. Maybe a once a year type of visit for special occasions.
