The Jackdaw, Conwy

Jackdaw or Jac-do in Welsh, is the nickname given to a person born within the castle walls of Conwy town.
The name is taken from the bird which can be found nesting in the walls of the town and castle.

Within the walls of Conwy Castle lies The Jackdaw, a restaurant by Nick Rudge.
Providing a unique Welsh Tasting Menu on Tuesday to Saturday evenings and 'The Nest', a reduced 4 course lunch Tasting Menu on Friday and Saturdays.

    The Nest is a 4 course lunch menu priced at £35 per person in The Jackdaw, Conwy. We would love to welcome you on Friday and Saturday lunches between 12pm and 3pm. With delicious food and lots of wonderful wines by the glass, our menu changes very regularly, similarly to The Jackdaw's ethos the menu will change with the seasons around us!     A fantastic menu concept throughly followed through. The careful decoration coupled with patient servers creates a calm atmosphere for diners to settle into the experience. The additional touches throughout the meal that tie the restaurant to the local area help the strong Welsh concept shine.

    Another superb visit! Dining at the Jackdaw really is an experience not to be missed. Staff are all so lovely and welcoming, also knowledgeable about the various courses being served. Every single dish was delicious, particularly the bread of heaven, the roast chicken parfait and the desserts. Thank you for a special anniversary meal!

    Superb food matched by an extremely friendly; knowledgeable; and young 'front of house' team who were excellent. We're both fans of 'taster menus' . . . and this was one of the best. Lovely, chilled, relaxed and un-pretentious atmosphere. Basically . . . we loved it !!

    A really excellent lunch. The best pace to eat in the area. The short lunch menu is great value, not too much food and we still managed an extra cheese course.
