It was my daughters 21st which I had pre advised and the staff all wished her a happy birthday and made her feel special. The service was probably the best I’ve received in an Ivy and will definitely return here

A very popular place, easy to see why as it’s a fabulous setting. There’s a very wide choice on the menu which covers English pub classics and both Mediterranean and Asian dishes so something for everyone. I’d thoroughly recommend the cheese soufflé to start and if they did it, a larger one for the main course too! Having had a starter and a main course, there was no room for dessert. There’s also a decent wine list!

I have eaten at many the The Ivy Restaurants usually with excellant outcomes. However on this occasion whilst hte starter was good my course of salmon that I had asked to be cooked pink was inedible and had to be returned. The 2nd was better but not perfect. Service was ok but the overall experience was disappointing.

I ordered a cheese soufflé for lunch and when it arrived it looked delicious. It was however cold and of course being a soufflé should have been piping hot. I took a couple of mouthfuls but had to give up and send it back. I was offered another choice but by then I didn’t want anything as we were shortly leaving for the theatre. I wasn’t charged and didn’t expect to be. I was disappointed and surprised at being served a dish that had been clearly left standing. I have eaten here before with no problems.

Delicious food with service challenges. Very creative presentation. Would love to try more items from the menu. However, despite having made a reservation we were given a very small table that was noticeably different from the tables around us. It was more appropriate for drinks not dinner. Each server has too many tables to look after which makes it very difficult to deliver good service. We waited far too long for our check as just one example. The food was so good that we are tempted to come back and hope for better service next time.

Great looking restaurant, masses of ambience, attentive staff and good food. My only gripe is that the service charge added is not 10% or 12.5% but 13.5%. A bit cheeky.

I came with a friend in a wheelchair. The staff could not have been more friendly and attentive. As the restaurant was full, there was no need for the loud music. There is nothing else I wish to say to make the number of letters up to 50. Regards, Caroline Pigott

Seriously average pre-theatre dinner at the Ivy Tower Bridge. Had I realised that so many new restaurants had opened around The Bridge Theatre I definitely would not have wasted my money at The Ivy. Service was good and prompt. Menu had the addition of an "Asia" section. We shared the Chicken Takitori and Zucchini Fritti as starters - both were unremarkable. My friend had the Fishcake which she said was 'OK" but left half. I had the Blackened Cod which was completely tasteless. Together with 2 vegetable sides, fries, a glass of wine and a Bloody Mary our bill came to £105.84 which would have been pricey but acceptable had the food been better. We left disappointed.

Food was good and service good apart from initial reception. Was told just to wait in an area where there was no please or thank you, I am not expecting servility but decent manners should be the norm. Also there were 5 of us squeezed onto a table which I believe was meant for 4 maximum. Food was good quality and good value for central London.

Set menu: Hake tasted blobby and not cooked well. Left half. Desert was good. Service was slow and we were brought the wrong orders many times. Waiters seemed either new or out-to-lunch! Had fun w my friend and they let us stay 3 hours chatting without hurrying us on so that was good.

Food was ok. My Korean chicken was dry and not as saucy as others I’ve had. Others in group said hamburger was just as they liked as was duck curry. Sat outside which was nice except for waiters scraping food scraps, etc., into rubbish bag directly beside us. Worse thing was the service which was no service at all. Had to ask for menus, water, to order drinks, to order food, to order coffees, to get bill. Entrée and coffees cold. I requested they remove the discretionary service charge from bill as we didn’t get any. They obliged without comment.

The venue is great, in sight of one of my favourite bridges/landmarks. The receptionist was pleasant and flexible - offering us the option of outdoor (good weather, so taken) and didn't push us to vacate at our due time. Relaxed lunch was had! We did have to look/call for service - but I prefer that to staff hovering - and had to ask for a change of Mocktail as it was not cold, but it was done with grace and speed. The weekday set menu makes this a much more accessible option for a weekday lunch, especially when you want to treat someone. Well done Ivy. My tourist friend was impressed.

The service was really bad . Didn’t bring the cups for the tea that goes with the afternoon tea . Tea was cooled by the time we got them , asked for a top up which never appeared . Everything was really slow . Ordered champagne which took ages to come . Manager did apologise and reduced the bill . However it was for my friends 60th birthday gift and it did spoil it a little bit . They did come over with a little cake at the end which was nice . Location with tower bridge view is great

Afternoon tea at The Ivy Tower Bridge was sadly disappointing. Soggy sandwiches, mediocre cakes and dry scones. We paid an additional £10 each for champagne and received one lukewarm glass each. The restaurant was noisy and despite the fact we had asked for the bill and were still waiting for it we were told they needed the table. Would benefit from concentrating on quality not quantity.

Hair in the butter, didn’t charge us for the bread because of this. Long wait for drinks and forgot our side order, so had to wait while food was going cold. Hair was disgusting and should’ve been compensated properly, not just not paying for the bread the butter went on!

The service was awful, we would have liked more than one drink throughout our meal. It was my husband’s birthday and I had asked for their complimentary dessert however that didn’t arrive even after prompting when we arrived. The drinks order was incorrect and took ages to arrive. Main course came with chips we didn’t receive! We ordered scones for dessert and didn’t get our coffees until we were ready to leave. I would not return again, previously it was okay however this time it was very poor.

Walk in booking and we were accommodated but it was a small table for two kind of away from any atmosphere which was fair enough. We just arrived and they got us a seat. We decided to eat from the set menu which seemed great value and whilst the food was really nice it was very small portions. Chicken and mash dish and that was literally it. No veg on the side and very little sauce that it was listed to come with. The steak which had a surcharge added was over cooked when it had been asked for rare. I haven’t eaten here before from the ‘regular’ menu to compare portions but feel it should be described as light bite or the staff maybe explaining what you were getting and offering side dishes.

Disappointed by first visit to Tower Bridge restaurant. I'm a big Ivy fan but, particularly as I had bragged about how good it would be, the service was very slow. I had to wave and call over staff numerous times to attend to us. Lovely table overlooking the Bridge. Also disappointed that the Tarte Fine was not on the dessert menu. I had chosen to go à la carte especially but as the desserts are not on the main menu I discovered too late.

Exorbitant prices eg £4 for 5 olives (table sharing nibbles menu). Courgette fritters and sourdough bread good though. Cocktails watered down with too much ice , both negroni and martini. Waited more than half hour to place order for food and had to ask twice. Very disappointing Thursday night dinner that was meant to be a special occasion; we had very good experience on previous visits

Unfortunately this visit wasn't one of the best ones, my starter (truffle pasta) was sitting on the side waiting to be served for a while which meant by the time it was plated, it had congealed. The service staff seemed to not be as attentive as I am used to. On the whole it was still good but not the exceptional standards I am used to at the Ivy.
