Exemplary service made this a delightful return to dining in Soho since the pandemic. We sat outdoors on their terrace in mid-January and it was fantastically warm and cosy. Great spot for people-watching too. Food was outstandingly good, and good value too, as was the wine. Will definitely return, the bar looked stunning, a great spot for a cocktail when in the area.
I dine at The Ivy a lot have visited the Soho branch on several occasions, took friends as I always rave about it, but unfortunately this time it was disappointing. really noisy, but can't do anything about that, the service was incredibly slow and not as attentive as usual, the food was very average, such a shame as you can usually guarantee the service and food will be first rate, but not on this occasion. felt a little embarrassed taking our guests there as it was there first time.
Everyone was friendly and the food and drinks were top notch!
Really good service, good food and good value. Tables were slightly too close together and it was a bit uncomfortable as you were basically sat with other people. Other than that really good experience. Will recommend and will come back.
Sadly this was not a great evening. It was too loud to talk to each other, the food wasn’t great snd overpriced for what it was. Happy to pay for a good meal but this didn’t hit the Mark at all. A victim of its own success.
My wife daughter and 4 other ladies had dinner at the Ivy Soho Brasserie to celebrate two 30th birthdays and the evening was fabulous. Wonderful service and food and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Thanks so much
It was a family get together. What a wonderful night we had - good food, good ambience, good service and good company.
Great service and food. Thanks very much. Would come again.
More a family treat, took my son and his wife and her mother as a special treat after a show.
Service was fantastic, food outstanding on all courses for 5 people and very good value for the quality of what we had.
Plenty of cocktails and 2 bottles of wine !
Will definitely go back.
Will definitely go back. Staff were wonderful, had a really great time.
Lovely meal - great atmosphere and restaurant vibe. Could have been slightly more attentive service wise but still really great. Will always return for a great dinner!
It was my daughter’s birthday so a pre-theatre dinner. Absolutely amazing service, the most exquisite food and a beautiful setting
Excellent service and food on a surprise date out , great service and very helpful friendly waitress
My wife’s birthday
A lovely setting with a great atmosphere. The food was amazing too ..
Outstanding service and attention to detail from the team created a truly memorable experience on a special occasion, better than expected
Lovely food, and a beautiful restaurant. Quick service with attentive staff, only slightly annoying thing was the 20% service charge added to the bill, however in London this has to be expected.
A lively fashionable place. Service is excellent, food and drinks very good quality and nicely presented but some things a little expensive. The staff really did do everything possible to make it an enjoyable experience and they coped well with gluten-free. We had very comfortable seats.
Service was VERY slow. My daughters advocating with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was average. Lobster main was overpriced for very small amount of lobster in it. When ordering I asked if there was much lobster in the dish told a bit. I asked could I pay for more told no!
We had a six year old with us whose fish was greasy. Chips average please dry. They made no effort to make any of us welcome. Will not return.
Inattentive staff that rushed us through and told us we had 10mins for dessert despite this being a 40th birthday. Poor service. Manager tried to bring a cake at the end to apologise, and yet they had been emailing for weeks beforehand. Much better Ivy restaurants to go to in London, this one needs to step it up. For a first time visitor I would not go back.
Fantastic Saturday morning breakfast, best quality and value in beautiful surroundings.
Food was delicious, service was not that good. Not paying attention. Waiting 15 minutes for the bill after we asked. Then waited another 10 minutes to pay.
Good quality brasserie food, good cocktails and wine list, friendly efficient service. A bit noisy when busy. Menus are difficult to read in low light. But a good spot to meet friends in Soho.
Great service great food lovely atmosphere
Rally lovely evening - only downside was that they didn’t have any shepherds pie!
Love coming here, the food is really nice and super friendly staff
A1 Negroni, it’s always my benchmark.
Delicious supper and great, friendly and attractive staff.
The Ivy Brasserie is now my go to when in London
Expected food to be good so was pretty excited, we ordered a burger and a steak. Burger meat was fine but the bun was completely burnt, the chips were hardly cooked. Steak was unbelievably chewy. We order profiteroles for dessert (for 2, instead of 4) expecting them to be pretty small, they came out with giant profiteroles and along with the ‘birthday’ profiterole they give (which you have to pay for without being told!!) it was impossible to eat them all, such a waste of food. Would of been so much better if we were just notified we’d already be getting one for the occasion, and how large they would be before ordering. Atmosphere was nice, the slight redeemer was the cocktails which were expertly done. On top of this, the waitresses and waiters were unfriendly which didn’t make it any more enjoyable . It is very unusual for me to complain about restaurants, having known the industry myself, but I felt as though it was needed as I was very dissatisfied with my time here (especially as it’s renowned for being lovely!)
We had a wonderful time with friends here. The decor is lovely and everywhere you looked you could see the attention to detail. From the room/table layout, beautiful decor and attentive staff, this restaurant offered so much. Service was excellent but unobtrusive; food delicious served hot and well presented and the ambiance was ideal for a pre-theatre meal with friends. We all felt we had had a top notch experience without spending a fortune. Already planning a girlie daub in London and coming back for an afternoon cream tea. Can’t wait!
Good food and service: table location disappointing
We found the Ivy Brasserie Soho to be ideal for a pre-show meal. The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful and the food is excellent value for money.
Everything was going great food fantastic for three of us but my wife’s steak had to go back twice and still didn’t get it right to how she wanted it cooking,it was to bloody for her as she likes it medium to well(emphasis on the well)
The service was superb and the lady in red did all she could to help as did the manager.
Fair to say it’s not our first time at the Ivy in Soho and last time my wife’s steak was perfect(Bad day in the kitchen maybe?)
What made it worse it was a great couple of days in London for my wife’s 60th and this did spoil it as she was very upset
Amazing service, gorgeous food, wonderful atmosphere! Can’t fault - another fabulous meal at The Ivy!
Needs to rediscover what made Ivy Restaurants special now feels more like a standard restaurant chain. Pleased for them they were full but……
Stylish surroundings, great ambience, great food....
Really enjoyed our evening at the Soho Ivy which was a rescheduled work's Christmas celebration after a session in the Escape Rooms. I thought the decor was fab along with the ambiance, food and service. Many thanks!
Poor food, poorer service. A sad reflection on what was a great brand and an even greater restaurant who's amazing reputation this chain is trading off and devaluing.
Great atmosphere, a bit noisy for a table of 4, food consistently good
Cold main course
Always great service and ambience. Nice to be back to normal!
