The Ivy restaurant has been a firm fixture on London’s dining and social scene since 1917. The restaurant and private room upstairs are the epitome of real glamour. A shimmering central dining bar in the restaurant draws admiring attention, and the signature harlequin stained-glass windows, oak panelling and striking contemporary art collection ensure the longevity of this very British of dining institutions. Executive Chef Gary Lee creates balanced seasonal menus, featuring Ivy classics, but accounting for today’s tastes, incorporating more Asian dishes, salads and vegetables, and the advent of a “sea and shells” section. Director Fernando Peire leads a strong and experienced team to deliver the unfaltering service for which The Ivy has become well known over the years. The Ivy welcomes customers without reservations at the central dining bar, where the A La Carte and Set menus are both served.

As a regular visitor to the Ivy West Street we had a very disappointing experience there last night. The food was not up to standard, the service very average with the waitress making mistakes you would expect to find at a cafe, not one of the best known restaurants in London. We won’t give up on it and I’m sure will give it another go, and hope they just had a bad day and it was a one off

Friendly greeting seen to table quickly courteous waiter . Good choice of food. bread put on table ( it was rock hard) and when bill come found out we’d paid £14 for the privilege! The chosen meals were good value although I think when you’ve paid nearly £20 for cottage pie the veg should be included . For me personally not the best Ivy I’ve been to. The Ivy Exeter is superb

1st time at the Ivy, first impressions were very good, no issues with any aspect of the evening, food was very good, but not outstanding, but I don't think you go to Ivy for off the scale experimentation and flavours. Paul was brilliant and treated guests individually. a very good evening all round

Arrived later than expected however reception was graceful and welcoming. Table was great and our server was lovely and caring noting that my younger sister was a little anxious. Excellent food my elder sister and I shared the cheese soufflé which was a first for her and it didn’t disappoint. Will return again thanks

After show reservation. Great location to theatre. Food and timeliness of food good, but waiter disappeared after main course. Someone else checked on us for dessert. Initial waiter took us our bill. Not sure where he went. Felt like we were not as important as other patrons for some reason.
