V slow service until they wanted us out. Night club vibe and volume music so couldn’t talk to each other easily. Food very good.

Sat next to a loud speaker so it was difficult to even have a conversation. Asked to move table and the server said it simply wasn’t his problem. Took 25 minutes to have our drink refilled (bottle of wine which we paid a hefty amount for) so we ended up just doing it ourselves. Forgot one of the main dishes. Felt like they didn’t want to serve us at all. Made a request for a nice table as it was my partner’s 21st, which was ignored. Paid for a ‘premium’ experience menu, but it didn’t felt like it at all. A massive shame.

So this was our 6th visit to St.Pauls Ivy Asia and it was a very mixed experience. It started with us being kept downstairs waiting for our table which isn’t terrible but we asked if we could have a drink at the bar whilst we wait to be told that the bar seating was full, once we got upstairs we found that there was not one person sitting at the bar. The next aspect of our visit was more or less faultless, our waiter was fantastic as was the majority of our food, the only thing that let the food down was the lamb shank massaman curry, it had so little lamb in it that you would have never know what meat it was. The main issue of our visit was that we fully appreciate that tables have an allocated time but when the food takes a little time to come out then allowances should be made. We had just got our dessert when the bill was placed on the table, which again not a problem but to then have a card reader then placed in front of as you are still eating the desert isn’t great, in fact it’s bad customer service. Then on raising our displeasure with the manager he decided to usher us downstairs on the basis of it being quieter and then outside so we were out of earshot of other diners to hand us a scrap of paper with a scribbled email address on it for us to email next time we come for a free drink, he doesn’t even know our name to arrange this. Unfortunately this type of conveyor belt dining and unrealistic time restraints makes the whole experience not as enjoyable as it should, especially when the rest of the service was great

Dreadful service. Never offered another drink or dessert. Was a special occasion which was in our notes. Not even a mention of this. Complained and got service charge taken off. I wouldn’t have paid this anyways. Massively disappointing.

Couldn’t hear each other over the blasting music. It was 8pm reservation and as the table next to us put it, it’s like ‘trying to eat dinner in a nightclub’. Horrible as you just end up yelling over your food. Cocktails were average and service wasn’t attentive, wouldn’t go back.

We had the experience set menu, it was definitely an experience. Highly recommended and worth the price. The food was fresh and Filling. Our highlights were the yellowfin sushi (starter), the black code (main) and both the mango ice cream and doughnuts (dessert)
