The Henry - Dallas

Very hot and humid in the restaurant and slow service for bar drinks
Birthday lunch! Amazing food and great service!
First time here. We have a new favorite place in downtown!! Everything was wonderful!
I had a group for a conference. Everything was really good. Of note, the Brussell sprouts and jalapeño corn.
Went for Sunday brunch. Made reservations for 1:45 but we weren’t seated until about 2:30. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was good and the ambiance is nice. The Henry gives both a casual and upscale vibe making it a ideal location for many.
Busy busy with mostly young locals!
Good food with variety and generous portions!
We went for Brunch but ate lunch food!
Popular and crowded
Have been 5 times now since they opened. First few times was right when they opened for brunch-had an okay experience but we expected that due to them being new & working out the kinks. This last time was awful & I won’t be back. The service & management is absolutely HORRIFIC. We were seated on time for our 1pm res &a server didn’t come to our table w/h2O or to take our drink order for 18 min. Finally a server came over, abruptly asked “what we needed”(still no water)& we ordered 4 cocktails, an OJ & 2 pastry’s. Literally (no exaggeration) 22 min post order, no water, drinks, OJ, or pastry. Due to the low backed booths u can see around the entire restaurant, so we could literally see the server standing around talking to his coworkers. 31 min later, I grabbed a manager walking by (a man, manager in training) nicely explained what was going on &that we’d like our drinks etc. he said okay he’d get on it. 41 minutes later(like what!?) water & 3 of the 5 drinks came. Waiter said they’re getting more oranges for the OJ? & didn’t even remember us ordering the other cocktail & 2 pastry’s we ordered. We finally placed our order (after we had to flag him down to come to our table bc he never came back or brought the OJ or cocktail). Another manager came over (man, blonde hair)& asked how things were after he was told we weren’t happy. We explained the above-he said I’ll get right on it. The OJ finally came, the fifth cocktail came (which had to be remade bc it was wrong), and still no pastry’s. An HOUR later, 1 of the 2 pastry’s arrived-it was dried out &cold. The 2nd came(we asked a staff member to check)it was cold &dry. Food arrived 1 hr & 36 min later (?!?!!) & 1 meal wasn’t right. Managers never came back over, server was absent almost the whole time. Got our bill & not ONE thing was comped, not even an apology. It was my bday & my parents were in town& it was an absolutely horrible experience & beyond disappointing for the cost. I’ve had better service at Canes.
I really love the ambiance in The Henry. The crab appetizer was phenomenal. We didn't love the seared ahi tuna, but everything else was delicious. Great drink options too.
Beautiful ambiance and amazing food provides the perfect place to get together with friends and family. The perfect spot for Saturday brunch or a warm filled evening dinner. With it’s soft warm light and dark wood tables, The Henry is my new favorite Dallas restaurant.
Very loud . Food was good not great. Menu different on website or was a few weeks ago. Not for anyone over 40.
We really enjoyed eating at The Henry. The service was impeccable and the food delicious. Both of us had salads and were very impressed.
Great vibe! Great Patio downstairs and upstairs! The almost naked margarita is fantastic! Jane’s aperol sprits was kinda bland. I made a reservation for 4 for the patio on Open Table. When we got to the restaurant- they said it would be 40 mins for a patio table. So we sat inside. It was fine. But pretty disappointing since it was a beautiful eve, and I made a reservation- Anyway, dinner was great, everything was delish and we tried a ton of items. The green chili enchiladas were great. The empanadas AMAZING!
The Henry was fantastic although we arrived a little late for our reservation they still sat us promptly even honoring the request for a patio table. They also paid close attention to the reservation arrangements that we were on a time limit and the server was spot on que. We will definitely return with more friends soon.
We took our one year old and fam for an early bday dinner reservation. Such great and accommodating staff. Was just here for a work dinner and a mom’s night out happy hour the week before. Not a lot of places that can knock out all three of those! Thanks!
Enchiladas were served room temp and before our other group members but your people are amazing. The host was very professional and cheery. Conner, our server was amazing! We really enjoyed him. We loved the pretzel bites and Conner had a great white wine recommendation. The atmosphere is everything and I enjoyed it much better then the Scottsdale location. Thanks!
Simply amazing as always
The new place in town is happening. I went there for a business lunch and made sure to make reservations for my group. All of our dishes were amazing. We will be back.
Food was marginal. Ambiance was nice although somewhat loud. Service was very slow. I think our order got lost. Table next to us was seated 5 minutes after us but got their food long before we did. (Our drinks and first course were delivered to another table before they came to us. ) They people next to us were paying their tab about the time our food arrived. Waiter apologized, but did not offer us anything for the inconvenience. Very unimpressive and overpriced wine list.
Valet was very slow. Took 25 minutes to get our car. The valet told us the first driver couldn’t find our car so he gave the ticket to someone else.
The ambiance was great - not too busy, not too empty; granted we dined there around 3:45pm for a late lunch on a Tuesday. I was very impressed with the layout, the menu, and the proximity of our table to the bar, entrance, and restrooms. The drink menu was perrrrrfect. They had a variety of go-to brands and drinks that I can’t usually order by the glass at many places. Also, the food was fantastic! The appetizers were most memorable. My friends and I can’t wait to go back!
Got a tiny table at first but requested to be moved. Ended up with an excellent table booth. Food came out and looked / tasted good. Will come back.
We had a great lunch atmosphere was great
My only complaint was the email I red'd from Opentable stating I did not use my reservation. Not true. I had a 7:30 reservation on Monday 5/13, we got there at 6:30, went upstairs for cocktails, had a great table and decided to dine upstairs. We discussed this with the waitress, she said "no problem" I will let the front desk know. I don't know where the mix up occurred. I don't know if the waitress failed to do what she said or if your front desk failed to check off that I was truly there for my reservation. We had drinks, appetizers, a full dinner and a bottle of Cakebread wine. I love The Henry, I just don't like getting emails that state "I blew off a reservation".
First time at this restaurant... was positive and would go back
Went for Mother's Day, Food was Excellent. They do not have a large menu selection, but I enjoyed everything. Flavor was Great, service was impeccable. Great menu suggestions from the waiter. Highly recommend the jalapeno cream corn, and the apple pie with ice cream.
This restaurant is very nice and their service is very accommodating. I highly recommend it for any special occasion or Happy Hour on their great deck.
Our first time to the Henry. Customer service was unbelievable-especially for a new restaurant. They were crazy busy for Mother’s Day brunch and management pitched in to help make everything perfect.
We went for Mother's Day Brunch, overall a positive experience and we will return but probably on a special occasion basis.
Would definitely recommend The Henry for special occasions, awesome happy hours on the upstairs terrace or just enjoying a delicious meal. My new favorite spot in Dallas!
The food was wonderful and the trend toward less "chefy" food is such a nice change. We had the pretzel appetizer and the short rib wontons. For dinner we had the chicken enchiladas. The only reason I gave 4 stars was that drink service was a little slow. I am glad we were outside because the noise level inside is pretty high.
Celebrated a birthday here. Vibrant atmosphere upstairs patio/lounge.
First the salads we were great. Excellent flavor not overflowing in dressing. Just the right size.
My wife had a glass of wine. Pour was a little on the small size. I had the vegan carrot cake. It was excellent.
Service was not great. Hostess was less than charming. Acted like she could not wait for her shift to end. No greeting. Just took my name, took us to the table and dropped the menus off. Waiter was not much better. He acted like he wanted to be somewhere else. My wife and I are always polite with wait staff “please and thank you” not once did he say “your welcome”
Out table was terrible. Next to a door where people where coming and going to a party on a second floor. It was like eating in an airport terminal.
Although the food was great I would not come back and I would not recommend it to a friend. My daughter and her husband were thinking of going but I told them not to bother. She said she would tell her co workers at the investment bank where she works.
Overall the experience was pretty poor. Thank you for the survey. It reminds me to put one on Trip Advisor
My family & I visited your restaurant for a birthday brunch, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The decor is lovely, the food was delicious, and our waiter was superb and patient with us as we took a bit longer to make decisions with a 10 month old in our party. I would absolutely recommend The Henry & look forward to a return visit.
Service was fantastic, and everything from beverages to food was excellent.
We went to The Henry for Mother's Day Brunch a day early & completely enjoyed the experience. Love the look of the restaurant, the staff were very attentive without being too much, the food was delicious (get the potstickers!!), & we had a blast! We tried a little of everything - coffee, cocktails, appetizers, brunch, lunch - it was all good! but we did not save room for dessert - so that will be a definite next time! We highly recommend this place - & also our server, Shawn! He was awesome!
GREAT rooftop bar experience! Lively atmosphere, indoor/outdoor bar, communal tables. The pretzel balls are the bomb!!
love this restaurant. great atmosphere and seating. food and drink is also fantastic
Great service, food mediocre. Very very loud inside. ... best feature is roof deck. Fire pits, views
Perfect place to go for a great dinner and then upstairs for a drink after! Food and service are top notch.
Beautiful decor and delicious food!
