From the get-go, our goal has been to provide a casual place where Austinites and visitors could enjoy great wine and food. We hope our customers appreciate and enjoy what we do. It truly is a labor of love. We’re always trying to stay on top of our game and make things even better, but we never lose sight of the initial idea that wine and food are for everyone to enjoy. Cheers - Beth, Matt and Reed

The ahi tuna and oysters were awesome! Definitely highly recommend and would go again.
Always a great meal and experience. I recommend any bruschetta and the brussel sprouts. Oh…and I always love a good Cuban!
We had a great time at The Grove Wine Bar sitting outside. There is stream that runs next to it and trees that sort of hide the outdoor area from the street. It's hard to tell you're in downtown Austin. The food and wines were excellent!.
The service was impeccable as were the small plate and entrée dishes. The dessert was also great. Highly recommend the downtown Grove restaurant.
We popped in for Saturday lunch. The table had bruschetta, crab cakes, meatballs and the forbidden rice bowl which we all shared. It was fun trying lots of different things, snd they were all great. The kitchen was a bit slow, although we were not in a hurry as we were visiting with an out of town guest. Would definitely eat here again.
Though the service was slow, the food was excellent! The bruschetta is not to be missed. Nice selection of wine by the glass, and a lovely outdoor patio.
Went to the Downtown location for dinner. My wife suggested that we sit outside facing the street. I ordered the beef tenderloin, which was cooked perfectly, as were the asparagus and mashed potatoes. Wife had a salad with grilled which was also amazing . Will frequent this location as the food is great…
Great service, excellent staff took care of special occasion.
I recommend the restaurant, especially during the week.
We had dinner on the patio on a Monday night. I bet the place is much louder on the weekend. I was worried about some of the other bad service reviews, but we really had no problems with the service. Really lovely, easy to find something you like kind of place. Will be back!
Excellent place for a lunch with old friends. The perfect location. Easy street parking right in front.
First, the hostess would not seat the three of us in a booth altho there were THREE booths available at 8pm. She TOLD us they had to save them IN CASE larger parties came in. Shortly thereafter there were FOUR booths available. We needed to chat about serious decisions with our adult son. Then our server left us & we had to go looking for her to place our entree order. Then my salmon was grossly over cooked & quite frankly, tasteless. We were so ready to leave that I didn’t say anything about it. My husband’s pizza had very little flavor and well, we’ll stick to the weekend brunch at the Grove which is what they seem to do best.
After we were sat at our table we didn’t see a server for about 12 minutes. Then finally someone came to take our drink orders, but it wasn’t our server. Our server then dropped off the drinks about 12 minutes later and mixed up our wine orders. We didn’t realize for a little and when we did told the server, and she gave us a confused look and said “and what do you want me to do about it”. She also had disrespectful and sassy responses to our questions about the menu or any alterations to our meal. The server would disappear for 30 minutes at a time and not check in on us. The food was great but the service was horrible. As someone who works in the service industry, I think they need to train their servers on better table manners.
Great food and great service with a nice outdoor patio
Elated Mother’s Day celebration...
Steak salad is delicious, same with the calamari. Very impressed with their allergy options. Patio is very nice as well.
They have FRENCH WINE! We love wine from France! It was delicious! We also tried 3 different types of bruschetta. All very good. Our dinner choices, Redfish and Tuna, were outstanding. Great ambiance, great service, great food and wine.
Try the frozen espresso martini!
Great spot! Beautiful place and food. Just in the summer make sure to bring bug spray. Water and humidity in Texas not a good combo together sadly.
Everything we ordered was delicious, great choice to celebrate my wife’s birthday!
Delicious food, great covered patio out back. Our waiter was perfectly courteous, just wished he knew more about the wine list. He also disappeared a couple times, but we weren't in a rush so not a big deal. Overall, very nice!
Mother’s Day Brunch
Specifically requested an outside table, called the same day to confirm and was told it was outside. When our party arrived we were told there were no outside available so we sat inside in the walkway of the restaurant. Not a great experience.
What's great about the Grove is that it is consistently good and good value. Another plus is that you can usually get a reservation on relatively short notice -- it is an overlooked, i.e., non-trendy, gem on the locally-owned dining scene.
We are regulars at this restaurant and have never had a problem before, but today we were extremely disappointed. The service was worse than usual, and the food was not good. The salad was missing normal items (avocado), and was very bland. The pizza was terrible - the crust tasted stale and brittle, and it had way too much sauce. They definitely are off their game. Very disappointed.
Our server, Abby, was the best!! We’ll be back.
The flights of wine are enough to get you through 2 courses without having to order another glass. Tuna was great.
Good food and drinks, nice outdoor seating, really lackluster service. Waiter left things off our order and was totally absent til we flagged him down so we could pay. He was pretty rude, too. I haven’t had that experience there before, so maybe it was just an off day. Unfortunate, but we still enjoyed our meal overall
Amazing, we had our 2 year anniversary here and the food was great !
The Grove was a great brunch spot. The service was great and the food was good. I would recommend it.
The food was amazing! I had the tuna with squid ink risotto, it was sooo yummy! Would definitely return to try other menu items! Great experience!
My server Nate was very knowledgeable and attentive! I had a Red French Flight which resulted in me purchasing a bottle. I paired it with Pizza and a Salad which were both ample in size and delicious. I’d definitely come back when in Austin!
Nice menu selection. Excellent wine list, with a large variety of wines at different price levels.
So fresh and delicious, beautiful patio, not overpriced, we LOVE The Grove!
The food was OK, service lacked much, nothing to write home about. I have been there before with a much better felling about the place.
The food was great but small portions. Very comfortable setting and nice for a relaxing day with a glass of wine.
The ambiance was amazing, the food was great, and the service was awesome! Their wine selection is incredible and the cheese tray is fantastic!
The food was excellent. Never had a "Pork Chop Saltimbocca" before...I wanted another, that's how good it was. My wife had the "Vodka Shrimp Linguini" and she said it was excellent as well. Well versed wine list, but we each chose from one of their 10 different flights...well matched. When I'm in Austin, I'll be back! Oh yea...the service was very good as well.
Fantastic service, very safe and spread out in the patio!
Great family experience, and server and food were great!
