    Great pub with fantastic outdoor area. Food selection was a little short on variety but food was tasty and of generous serving size. Quite busy but service was still quick and pleasant. Great place to ctach up with froends for a pleasant Sunday afternoon.

    The Grand Hotel has no proper management, no one is responsible, I had reserved a table for Saturday night a week ago, for four people - at the appointed time, my table was not ready and some were just seated!!! I was embarrassed in front of my friend, considering it was her birthday.

    We booked online for Sunday lunch and were put in the eastern room which is loud and closed in. So raucous that we had to look for a better table. Absolutely no ambience. Otherwise we had a good experience in the main area near the bar and the staff are all lovely!

    The food was well presented and all guest enjoyed their dinner. That was about the only positive note Incan say. The area we were seated too was in the backend of the dining room, this would be as I requested at the time of booking access for a walker as we had elderly guests with us however we were surrounded rounded by uncleared tables and food left all over the carpet. I was expecting a coyntry pub atmosphere with and open fire kinda of vibe, but this was more of a fast food restaurant vibe. Our children ordered of the main share menu which was chicken wings and salt and pepper calamari, (the food was really good well seasoned) but it arrived on paper plates like we were at a Food truck festival but with restaurant prices. Our orders were mixed up and even though we asked them all to arrive at the same time they arrived over a 40 minute window. I was also surprised we had to go and get our own cutlery and set the table as well as get water all the way at the front of the restaurant. We would’ve been better going to the Lower Plenty Hotel much smoother running operation, if we wanted that sort of experience, which in hindsight would’ve been far better. As we were located at the back of the restaurant, this was the farthest point away from the main door. My Dad who had a walker to move around had to use multiple steps to get our table. On exiting I noticed the main door which has the ramp has a not in use sign on it. I went back to question the staff and they did say that he could’ve exited that way and they would have opened the door. I should not have had to ask, It should’ve been offered and accessible to all people.

    We took our 92 yo dad out there on Sunday from hospital and it was an absolute hoot. Food was excellent , staff were so accommodating given our lateness due to dad’s immobility. Great place, great food, great staff. We will be back.

    Overall, the food and service was good. While the majority of staff are good, there was one new young staff service member who insisted that we dine on a faulty table until another staff member intervened allowing for us to sit at another table. Apart from that, the rest of the night was great.

    Great night out for fathers dad, with summer coming the deck is the perfect spot to be. Taco’s were great. Bar was well staff so no waiting for service.

    Customer service was appalling, some members on my table ordered separately although we were just one behind the other in the line. So I would assume that we would receive our meals not long after each-other, well this was not the case two meals came out and then it was another 30 minutes until the others came out. When we confronted staff we received an impudent attitude, so then we had a civil conversation with the manager and said if there was an issue or the docket got lost that it was fine we just wanted the staff to admit it. The manager said that there was no issue, whenever we tried to explain what our issue was she would disregard it, we explained that other meals had come out and we ordered before them and she simply did not care, isn't it the customer is always right? Clearly not the case! Do note dine here if you want good customer service.

    Food was fantastic! Service friendly, quick & efficient. Good value for money. Only drawback was that we deliberately chose a Sunday night for a quiet family catch up dinner... But Sunday night's we realised too late are very busy and the hotel was very noisy with lots of families. But otherwise a good night out.

    Limited Menu Options No Cutlery or Salt,Pepper, Serviettes on the table all get yourself The only thing they do is bring the meal to your table Food was 2/10. Steak wasn’t cooked to my liking was rare not medium as I had ordered. Beer Battered Fish was mostly batter and the fish filets were very small, all batter not much fish, very misleading.
