   We made reservations on September 9th for Thanksgiving week for 11 people - THE RESTAURANT CANCELLED OUR RESERVATION THE NIGHT BEFORE - for their daughter's wedding. You could have emailed us a few weeks ago so we could have made alternative plans!!! We will share our experience with everyone we know visiting San Antonio and suggest they avoid TheGranary and go to other restaurants in the Pearl. So disappointing. Once the restaurant knew they were closed for the week - they should have notified all guests and removed themselves from Open Table. Adding to all this, the cancellation text was abrupt and generic. Poor form.

   Everything about The Granary was exceptional! The waitress was so nice and very knowledgeable about the menu. Food was delicious!

   With a limited menu, should keep everything available. The Cobb salad was not available and it was only 2 pm Saturday. Not sure what the plan was for the rest of the weekend. No other salads were offered.

   While some believe that barbecue is only a Texas or American thing... it is a truly global method for preparing proteins (and veggies too) shared by cultures everywhere. The Granary's fusion of these international flavors, approaches, and dishes make it a truly unique and elevated experience. And to honor their local heritage... the Texas toast and brisket offerings stand head and shoulders above all competitors.

   We went to try out this place because of a tv show that recommendation this place. I was so excited about their Ramen because I love Ramen. When I received my bowl it looked presentable and delicious but the flavor was not there. It was the worst Ramen I’ve ever had. Don’t go here for BBQ, you can find better BBQ in town.

   The Granary’s ambience reflects its location— the former home of the Pearl cooper. Solid tables and seating with no backs don’t coddle you. But we received attentive service with good menu explanations. The global bbq theme is attractive. We shared starters, including a tasty wilted salad. The scallops had no bbq element, though well prepared, but the burnt end pasta with Parmesan showed inventiveness. Good dining.

   This was our first time visiting San Antonio and it was an awesome experience. My husband and I dined at Granary on our last day in San Antonio and wished we had gone sooner. The whole fish, ribs, chicharron and the Brussels sprouts are a must! Also the Texas planters punch was really good. We will definitely go back on our next visit to San Antonio.
