   Food was delicious but we felt extremely rushed. Wanted to enjoy a cocktail prior to ordering but once again felt like we were really timed to keep moving and then noticed a small sign that said we had 1.5 hours to complete our meal. I did not know if all tables had this notice or just our location. It was early and the restaurant was not busy yet.

   Lovely spot overlooking Lake Como with beautiful sunsets. The staff were great -- attentive and nice. We ordered a variety of dishes from the standard and specials menu; everyone was quite pleased.

   We had an amazing meal at the Getaway! Our server, Pam, could not have been better! Excellent food, atmosphere and service made for a special night. We will be back again and again!

   The food was prepared well and was delicious. Our server was very helpful and patient with us and was always stopping by to see if we needed anything else. We will definitely be back.

    We had reservation at the Getaway on Thursday evening at 5pm. We were seated at a window table. Wow, that view of Lake Como cannot be matched. We were greeted by our server David. He took our drink order...a martini. He took our dinner order. We ordered the Filet with baked potato, and it came with soup or salad. We selected the salad. Also, we ordered the Fettuccini with shrimp and the salad. The salads were very generous helping of fresh crisp greens, lots of grape tomatoes, onion slices and cukes with croutons. The filet was okay. The fettucine was a large portion of fettuccini with lots of medium size shrimp. Ver good. Service was excellent...can never get enough of the view. The next morning, we had breakfast at the Getaway. Grace was our server. She was excellent. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of menu offerings. One of us had coffee, the other hot tea...good selection of different types of tea. Both of us ordered the Como Combo, 2 eggs, choice of hash browns or getaway potatoes choice of ham, sausage or bacon. Choice of toast or pancakes. Both of had the toast. One had the bacon, the other had the sausage. (we found the sausage a little spicy). The breakfast was good. Grace made sure our coffee cup was refilled and if we needed more hot water. Breakfast was good and we will come back to the Getaway. Great Breakfast and dinner. Excellent well-trained servers.
