Nestled in a historic downtown Pineville building that dates back to the 1890s, The Garrison is a 2-story restaurant featuring indoor and outdoor seating, a full-service classic cocktail bar, upstairs dining, and modern American cuisine as well as upscale bar bites. Think - the best burger in town, 24-hour brined chicken wings, a ribeye steak sandwich, chops, fresh local seafood, and more.

    Food was great. The acoustics are not. It’s just too loud on a Saturday evening at 9:00 pm to be enjoyable.

    We went to the Garrison for Restaurant Week but it was the second time we'd been there. Although my steak arrived rare instead of medium, it had good flavor and the sides were delicious! Service was excellent! The food was a great value as portions are generous. However, we were seated near the front door and it was very loud!! It was difficult to hear each other at the table. The bar looked fun and energetic! We will try again but hope to be seated in a quieter spot.

    We had their Crab Hushpuppies appetizer, Shrimp and Grits entree and Cheesecake desert and all were delicious. The service was excellent. They have some on street parking and there also parking lot behind the restaurant. We will be going there again.

    The only complaint I have is my daughter’s steak was not medium rare like she ordered it. I told her to send back but she never did. She only a few pieces since it was overcooked to her liking. Service was wonderful, price point was good, and atmosphere was wonderful.

    Had a great time but bit was a bit loud when we arrived at 8pm. Got quieter as people left.

    Food was absolutely amazing and service was excellent. Loved the ambiance of the restaurant as well. We will definitely be back!

    Excellent food and service!! Very reasonable prices. It is really loud though because it’s an old building with high ceilings.

    First time at your restaurant. Our waitress, Faith, was an absolute gem! My Cajun Catfish was wonderful. My wife’s Fish & Chips were great other than the breading being a little salt heavy. The cocktails were spot-on. The service overall was courteous and attentive without being intrusive. Warm smiles all around. The only downsides were how greatly the noise level rose toward the end of the meal and how often the back of my wife’s chair was bumped into by staff and guests alike. We still plan on returning for another delicious meal!

    Everything was excellent, drinks, food, service and atmosphere! We had the crab hushpuppies and scallops with mushroom risotto - both were fabulous!
