   This was our third visit to Gables and second time celebrating our anniversary. As before the food was delicious. However the ambiance and service were not of the level we had come to expect. The greeting station was empty with a handwritten note to see the bartender for seating. We went to the bartender and they had no idea there was no one at the door. We were seated and were waited on fairly quickly. However, our waiter’s attention quickly proved to be focused somewhere else as throughout the meal he spent an inordinate amount of time with one particular table. When he did return to us it felt like an afterthought. This coupled with our special occasion going unnoticed (it was noted in the reservation and had been acknowledged during previous visits) left us disappointed with the experience.

   We sat in the bar area because we went on a Friday night and we like that type of vibe! Gorgeous ambiance in the bar area. Very rustic chic. Drinks were great! Food was 50/50. My husband loved his cheeseburger and I did NOT love my margarita pizza flatbread. It had no flavor; had to hunt for the few shrivels of basil, menu said heirloom tomatoes and in actuality it came with cherry tomatoes sliced in half that fell off each time I picked it up. When our waitress asked if I was happy I told her this was not what was described on the menu and she told me she was sorry I did not like my meal and gave us the check.

   The food was a big disappointment for the price point. In particular the chicken under a brick was bland and flavorless.

   Mushroom soup- was not listed as an onion soup. Zero taste. My wife’s omelet was like rubber. 1 beer on tap. Very disappointed. Will never return.

   When we arrived, it was extremely noisy - made it difficult to have a conversation. Additionally we waiting about 15 minutes before a server arrived. She did apologize and said you were very busy (as we could see). She did bring our drinks right away, but we then waited another 20 minutes for our appetizers. When our main plates arrived, my omelet was over cooked and another person's waffle was so dried out, I'm disappointed that the server would even deliver it. This was my second time at your restaurant, but after this experience, can't say I'll return. As two of us drove from DC and the other person from NJ, it was intended to be a good midway connection point, but not so now. Thanks

   The food was outstanding and reasonably price. We had a wonderful waiter who was very attentive. The biggest problem for us was the noise level. There was a large table of women, who may have been celebrating something. However, it is one thing to be excited, but this was a little over the top. It would have been better, if they took into consideration, the other diners. It's a shame, because everything else was wonderful. I realize there isn't too much the restaurant can do, but maybe the acoustics could be better. All in all, the ambience, the food, the prices, our server were wonderful. I would recommend Gables. Just check to see if there is a large party at your time.

   Food was a bit slow, but the setting was adorable and the people were so lovely and accommodating. Beautiful space!

   I ordered pancakes and it took them 30-45 mins to make. Two pancakes… they weren’t even that good.

    The service was terrible. We waited for 10 min. before I had to callout to a waiter that we needed a drink and were waiting. Then we waited more than 10 minutes and the drink never came. In fact, it seems that that waiter disappeared. There were a lot of people walking around doing nothing. One of the waiters kept yelling, "I am running around in circles". He really wasn't doing anything. There did not seem to be a manager who was running the place or pitching in to help the staff. Everyone was doing their own thing. This was a special night for us since it was our 43rd anniversary. We will not go back to this place again.
