   This place is/was a gem. So sad that it is closing because of landlord greed. There was no place like it downtown - great food, very reasonable prices and casual vibe. I hope the owners and chef can open another place somewhere in Toronto in the near future. When they do, I'll be there.

   I'm in love with this restaurant and so sad it's closing! The chicken pot pie and mac and cheese are honestly hands down the best I've ever had, and far better than I make myself

   Good food & ambiance! The server seemed to not want to be there and we felt like they didn't even like us from the start. We liked the open-style kitchen and the food and drinks came pretty quickly. The server did come back to check on us twice, which we appreciated the follow-up.

   The Gabardine's been an outstanding downtown comfort food bistro/brasserie for nearly a decade- truly sad they're having to close down. With any luck, once the owners and staff take time to relax, reassess, and plan, that they'll grace Toronto with another iteration of the restaurant. You'll be sorely missed.

   Hi, This was my third time there. My first 2 experiences were great and I recommended to go for dinner with my work colleagues and was very disappointed. The presentation of the steak was subpar from what was before. The server was ‘ok’ at best. The overall value $ to experience was less than desirable.

    Very cozy inside with white lights strung across the ceiling. Open Kitchen so be prepared to smell a bit like what was cooking. It is also very warm inside. Service was very good and food was delish!
