   Another perfect meal. The menu is always flexing to handle seasonal and availability changes, while also offering creatively constructed and amazingly delicious choices. Nick was our group’s waiter and he was the perfect blend of informative, inquisitive and spot-on on with every accoutrement we needed as we worked our way through appetizers and mains. Keep up the great work and we look forward to our next visit.

   Fantastic experience. Penny, our server, was knowledgable, friendly, and a bit sassy (in the best possible way). We ordered the popovers, the chopped BLT salad, poke tuna, scallops, shrimp and clam pasta, and the flourless chocolate cake. The popovers were baked perfectly. The salad was light and the homemade buttermilk dressing was fantastic. The subtle sesame flavor to the poke tuna was just about as good as it gets. The scallops had a little too much hazelnut flavor in them for our taste (hazelnut is mentioned in the description on the menu). Finally, the shrimp and clam pasta was outstanding. The chorizo really made this dish. We soaked the last of the sauce from the bowl with the grilled bread that came on the side. We only sampled the cake because we were already bursting, but it was gooey and delicious. Penny kept the drinks filled and stopped by frequently to check on us. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

   One of the best restaurants in Charlotte! The staff is always hospitable and the food is fresh and outstanding. Presentation is always beautiful.

   Food was good but inconsistent. Popovers and desserts top notch! Charcuterie plate was pedestrian for the cost and server was not welcoming or informative. He was dismissive and seemed unhappy to be there.

   David Burke should come and dine here. Being from NY and Familar with David Burke we once again went to the restaurant in South Park. Very surprised to see it was so empty on a Friday night. Realized why later. Only 2 other diners at the time we arrived but with the whole restaurant available we were sat right in the same small area with the other two diners? DRINKS ordered a cosmo manhattan and old fashion on special. None of the liquor available for manhattan server brought a list of what was avail move onto gin and tonic high end gin also not avail. Cosmo came out 1/2 glass terrible. ordered the popovers lobster dumplings, very small dumplings couldn't find the lobster.Popovers 1 minute short of completely burnt . ceasar salad nothing special. Roast duck breast with a side of citrus beet salad arrived with 2 small slices of duck and all salad looked under the salad to see if the rest of the duck was there NO!?! Filet migon with scallops order medium rare came out rare/raw. Scallops were good. Sides were okay. Server Penny was extremly nice and very attentive even though hostess only put incoming diners in our area of the restaurant leaving the rest empty. So dissappointing on so many levels. Prices are high which is expected for this type of dining but PLEASE if you're not making it in Charlotte David just rip off the band aid and close don't go out like this Over $400. for garbage sorry!

   We were so excited to try this restaurant. There were definitely plus and minuses. We had pop overs and bacon for apps. The popovers were tasteless and served with unsalted butter which didn’t add to the flavor at all. The bacon was a hit (I’m a vegetarian so the rest of the family ate that). For dinner the people that had steaks said they were great!! Someone got the crab cakes and didn’t love how they were prepared with pretzels(the very good waitress did warn her about this prior to ordering however) and I had some amazing gnocchi and green beans. My biggest disappointment was the mashed potatoes. I’m not sure what they add to the recipe, but it seemed to be too much and they were barely touched by a table of four. The service was definitely great!! The food did t stand out enough to return in a city with a plethora of restaurants.

    Gone way down hill since it opened, sadly. Service was good, but there was literally no one there. My fish was inedible and they did take it off the bill which was nice. Great menu. I hope they can turn it around.
