Great spot !
Everything was awesome as usual. We will definitely go back again soon!
Place is great. We had a server on her last shift. Her and Bree(?) Were awesome tonight.
Now the food...
There was 10 of us. 7 out of 9 burgers were way overcooked.
Why ask if we want it pink if you are going to serve what you want?
I asked for it to be as pink as possible, the server said we can make it red if you'd like. I said perfect. It came out well done.
For a $16 burger that I ordered with pork belly, overcooked stale chips, and then a $11 spiked milk shake I expected more. It was 3 ppls birthday and with my 12 person reservation, I didn't want to make a stink. I mean C'mon man. You are a burger spot at 6pm. How do overcook sooo many burgers.
In one last word....
Overall solid place for a burger.
Every time I go to the fix, the service is terrible. Since it moves to its new location I decided to give it a second chance. I was hoping it had changed. It may have gotten worse. It shouldn't take 15 minutes to get ketchup after your food arrives but it did. And now since I ate there my stomach has been turning ever since. If the food was worth it, then maybe the wait would be too but at this point their food isn't even that great anymore!
Great milkshakes! Burgers were wonderful and perfectly cooked. Waitress was very friendly, but also very busy.
A-mazing. I went for lunch with friends, party of 6. Ed from the restaurant called to confirm the reservation. Our table was ready when we got there. The menu had lots of options, but it wasn't overwhelming. We started with the fried pickles and potato chip nachos. The horseradish sauce for the pickles was perfection and the chips were still crunchy even with the nacho toppings. I had the Phenomenal burger with the house potato chips because the nachos were so good. We tried the pistachio cheesecake, but it wasn't for me. Everyone was pleased with their choices. The server was attentive, super friendly, and professional. We skipped the alcohol this time, but they have an Angostura cocktail list, microbrew beer list, and milkshakes for adults. My oh my. I'll have to come back!
I had 2 draft IPA's that Sully recommended, tasty. My wife and I shared the nachos and a mushroom burger with sweet potato fries. Plenty for us and they were cooked to our satisfaction. The bar area is where you want to be.
Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with good burgers and drinks!
We (mom & teen) were seated at our reservation time. We were greeted by our waiter soon after we we seated. She was friendly, helpful and attentive in just the right way- not little and not too much. The restaurant atmosphere was easy, casual, comfortable-the music was current but not overwhelming. The restaurant was full but the noise level wasn't overpowering.
The menu offers creative and more traditional burgers and apps-Maybe could use something a little lighter and more summery for apps. The Open Table menu didn't accurately represent the actual menu at the restaurant- most notably there were no non-burger dinner items.
We ordered the Eiffel Tower and a strawberry milkshake. The Eiffel Tower was disappointing-warm fizzy fruit juice. The shake was flavorful, just the right the texture.
We ordered the Mediterranean salad with the dressing on the side to share. The ingredients were fresh and abundant, the salad dressing was very good. Plenty to share between 2 of us.
We ordered a classic burger-medium-rare with an add-on of truffle aioli and a spicy tuna burger-rare , both with fries.
The classic burger was cooked just right and was juicy and tasty. The tuna burger, though delicious with its yummy toppings, was definitely not seared. Not many restaurants seem to be able to master the outside sear while keeping the inside rare. I prefer rare with less sear to a well-done piece of fish, which is what I got. The fries were hot, salty and generous (just what you want but shouldn't).
This was a very pleasant dining experience for both mom and teen. We'll be back!
The Fix is a great addition to the WPI neighborhood, really nice to have a bit of Shrewsbury Street on Grove. Been here several times for lunch, and the food and service are always great. Love the attractive décor, great menu with lots of interesting burger choices, great beer selection.
We love The Fix! Best burgers around, with options for everyone's tastes. Delicious appetizers and milkshakes make it hard to not fill up before your meal arrives! I've been several times and service has always been excellent! It's our go to place!
We went for post my bodybuilding competition but also for my boyfriends birthday. The create your own manhattan menu was what drew us in tho we didn't actually do that option. Great beer and wine selection. Incredible burger selection. Started with splitting a Mediterranean salad and ordered two burgers. He got fries I got onion rings and we split. Each burgerbwas amazing. We got the phenomenal and the wreck. The pork belly on the wreck was delicious but the slaw was a little heavy for me. They brought us over a complimentary dessert with a candle but didn't do a big singing affair which my bf appreciated. Great drinks great atmosphere even better food. Definitely will go back in the future.
Excellent dining experience. Great food, attentive wait staff, awesome beer selection and a cool ambiance.
The burgers are fun and creative, just a little pricey.
Not so friendly greeter takes you to table and throws the menus down telling me to enjoy...so the evening begins with an edgy attitude ? Geech. Known for burgers, they were good, and I should have ordered medium well, Medium rare was too gooey for my palate. Next to WPI campus gives the place energy, but takes away from any real class the place could have because your dining with a lot of college kids, many of whom left their good manners behind when Mommy and Daddy dropped them off at college. Overall, The Fix is a decent burger joint situated near a major college campus. This was my second time here, but first time at this new location in an old warehouse, which was very neat indeed.
top-rated burger spot in area, but burgers just not that good probably rating in part due to amazing variety and uniqueness of menu and custom burger options and possible add-ons, but actual burgers themselves (for all 4 of us), nothing special, and that's where it matters---eg when server gives one choice between "pink or not pink", time to concede that you are NOT in line for a great burger
We had a great graduation dinner at The Fix Saturday night. Our original reservation was for 8, but ended up being only for 5, and this didn't even cause a hiccup. The food was great and service was fine. The only downside is the noise level - not the place to go if looking for an intimate dinner - but if looking for a great casual evening out - this is definitely worth a try.
Great food, as always. Service wasn't as good as I've experienced before but the staff was very nice.
It's a very roomy place and despite the amount of patrons it was still quiet enough to have a conversation. The food was excellent and the service was superb!
The Fix has terrible accoustics, extremely noisy and the music was so loud you could not hear the person sitting next to you. Food good, but over priced. We will not be back. We had to go some place else for after dinner drinks so that we could talk with our friends.
Great food. Slowish service and hey we're not busy. Music was so loud that no one could hear the waitress. This was at 5:30 PM with relatively few patrons in the restaurant.
This was my first time to the Fix however I had heard rave reviews. The quality of meat was excellent and I very much enjoyed my time. I recently started working within walking distance and I think I just found my new favorite lunch spot!
My wife ordered a fish sandwich, they brought her a burger. they then brought a fish sandwich but we could not eat together.
the big mac type sandwich was extremely messy and the organic grass fed beef had very little taste.
My wife is disabled due to MS and access to the building was not good(long ramp), when we got in, not close to hostess.
We were there to celebrate my birthday, not a good experience.
Fabulous burgers and a fun place for a group. I invented my own burger and it was superb!
Went while visiting the Worcester area. There were many burger types for everyone, be the meat eaters or vegetarians, and many varieties of toppings. I'm not much of a fry person, but the sweet potato fries and traditional were both very good. They also have many beer choices. Nice decor. In an old factory building, lots of wood and brick
Food is always great.
Great service, beer list and hip decor !
Food is good but not Great!
Great place! Met friends for dinner and it was great. I would suggest making a reservation if you have more than 2 people dining.
Wonderful burgers, great spiked milk shakes ,and highly recommended.
Burgers are great, I had a chili burger which had a nice spice to it. We tried the sampler platter and everyone found something they liked. Wine list was lacking, and I think they're a bit overpriced for burgers & fries.
Really enjoyed the gourmet burgers. Not just for beef lovers, the lamb burger and the salmon burgers were very good. They are very accommodating. You can order the burgers any way you want, you can mix and match and they have GF bread. Loved the dry run chicken wings, polenta bite appetizers and the pistachio cheesecake. And of course, it's know for their beer menu. We enjoyed all the beers we ordered. It's great that they will let you sample them as well.
Fun place with a great selection of burgers, but their buns are pretty inedible. Plus the bun to burger ratio is not good. Maybe the brioche option is better? Need to try one next time. They have amazing milkshakes though! When it's crowded the noise level is pretty bad. Not to busy this time so it was a good volume.
Been here many times and never disappoints, except for this visit. One in our party order a grass fed beef burger medium. It came rare so she had to send it back. The replacement came and it was raw. Third time was a charm. Not sure what the cooks were smoking back there as they usually get this right everytime. Will certainly be there again for sure.
Great food and service. It took a little while for our food to come out but it was worth it
Service was good. Burgers were pretty small. Lots of toppings, not a lot of meat.
First visit and will definitely be back- best meal we've had in a long time. Everything was great from the apps to the burgers to dessert (dark chocolate mousse... enough said). Worth the 40 min drive for us!!
The preset burger combos are creative, wide-ranging, and always delicious. The Crunchy, The Phenomenal, and The Rambling Wreck are three definitely worth trying! If nothing on that list excites your taste buds, feel free to make your own burger, with more topping choices than you can wrap your head around (especially when you're famished). Add french fries or onion rings and a spiked milkshake and all becomes right in the world! The ambiance is a modern take on "Pippin," with skillfully drawn carnival scenes drawn on chalk boards around the rooms. The staff are young, vibrant, friendly, and most importantly, knowledgeable of the the menu. I will go back repeatedly, even as I get ready for swim suit season!
Great food and atmosphere. Enjoyed the service and ambiance
This was our first time at the Fix and we will be back. Fun atmosphere, great service, food good and great drinks. Love the industrial interior!
