   The quality of the food was very good, so was the cooking. Considering the cost of the wines the menu choice didn’t do anything to compliment it. I hardly believe that fish and chips or pie of the day add up to fine dining. The choices in my opinion were somewhat limited and certainly we had better choices when staying there in the past on several occasions. Although not directly to do with this evening meal booking the slight disappointment spread to breakfast the next morning. In the past such things as toast were brought to the table whilst now you are presented with a toaster. The quantity of food for breakfast has also reduced, whereas on previous visits baked beans were served up in a ramikin dish, the hotel have now changed to putting a small serving directly on the plate. I feel that the usually high standards are being deserted for cost cutting.

   Fabulous place with a great vibe and atmosphere Food was delicious and good selection of Gins! Not a cheap night out but very enjoyable

   Having received open table Confirmation #: 822102241 my wife and I arrived last night at 7:20 and were told we were not booked in. Having refused to sit at a coffe table in the lounge, the manager did manage salvage the situation by finding a us table for us in the restraint and providing a free drink. Unfortunately this was not the last of our problems:: We ordered beef and were not asked how we liked it cooked and sent it back because it was too rare. We ordered desert and after 30 minutes we prompted the staff by asking if there was a problem with it, and lo and behold it soon arrived. My wife also had to ask for a glass of wine 15 minutes after initially asking. There were other very minor issues but for this level of service I am charged an additional 10%. My wife and I have used this restraint as a couple and in a party for over 20 years. For a signature event, last night’s service was disgraceful. We are unlikely to use this restraint again because in recent years, comparable and in some superior establishments have opened locally.

   Wonderful food . Service poor. Waitress reaching over us constantly and never came back to poor our wine. Shame as its quite expensive so would expect service to match

    Brought afternoon tea for my mum 80th birthday They enjoyed every minute of it staff were very welcoming and friendly food was amazing and certainly more than enough It was there first time at the Five Arrows hotel but will certainly be going back
