we were sat at an extremely dark table where overhead lights were low & the table lamp was non functional, so we needed phone flashlights to view the menu. a chair at the table was also broken, and another patron came over to warn us since the waitress was hard to find. we waited an extremely long time for drinks and every single course when the restaurant wasn’t very busy. the food was overall decent, with the zucchini fries and the short rib being the stand outs. would not order the brussels sprouts or deviled eggs again. after a very long dinner, we find out that the check has an up charge for using credit cards as payment (vs cash/debit). apparently this is noted in the smallest possible print on the menu, but we were shocked to see an additional $13 “non-cash fee” added to our bill. overall, we wouldn’t dine here again & this was a disappointing experience for what was supposed to be a special day.

Appetizers arrived after the food. The server was very courteous and professional. I ordered the meatloaf and it was a little dry. I’ve dined there before and never had any issues.

My husband I came here for late lunch on a Saturday at 2pm. It was not busy but the server took 15 minutes after we were seated to even stop by our table and give us water which had zero ice in it. We had to ask for a drink menu and silverware. We ordered a pasta dish and broiled rockfish and both were so awful we could barely eat them. Our check was about $100 with no alcohol and no dessert. This was such a lackluster dining experience.

The kitchen was very slow or our food order was placed after ordering. Other customers received their food before our and we arrived much earlier then they????

I’ve dined at The Farmhouse in Gambrills several times now, and each visit reaffirms why it’s one of my favorite spots. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between upscale and cozy — you feel like you're being welcomed into someone’s beautifully curated home. The food is consistently outstanding. From the seasonal specials to the signature dishes, everything is thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The flavors are fresh, creative, and comforting — you can really tell the kitchen takes pride in their craft. The service is another highlight. The staff is warm, attentive, and genuinely seems to enjoy being there. Whether it's your first visit or your fifth, you're made to feel like a valued guest. It’s rare to find a place that delivers such a complete and memorable dining experience time after time, but The Farmhouse does just that. Highly recommend for date nights, celebrations, or just a great meal out.

I had a reservation for 4 people at 12:30. Arrived on time waited about 5 min to be seated. Waited 15 to 20 min to see. Waitress at which time we ordered drinks and lunch and asked for water. Lunch took another 20 min. Or more and order was incorrect. One was a salad with chicken on it, no chicken one was just wrong thing still no water. I asked when we sat for separate checks was told ok then when time tompay another woman came over and told us they don't do separate check they just divide every by the number at the table! There were 4 people. Unbelievable! I have eaten here many times and never heard that before and never had service to include the person who delivered the food that rude andunprofessional. Not sure who was in charge either. I will probably not go back and will certainly pass my story on. .

Who doesn’t have French toast on a brunch menu ! Plz add it… service was ok food was good as well but it was a very limited brunch menu

Service was fantastic! Ambience was great. Food unfortunately was horrible. I ordered a 12 oz ribeye. Worse than a grocery store cut! My one son had a burger and wasn’t impressed. The other had a short rib sandwich that he liked. But we had the macaroni and cheese and the polenta which were AWFUL. Really sad as the concept of farm to fork is great, service is amazing but if the food doesn’t hit, why go?
