Wonderful evening !! Very pleasant and warm atmosphere, and our service and host were exceptional!! Would highly recommend it !!
We went for the outdoor acoustic Friday, music was very good and our food was delicious as always. Manager went around and greeted everyone at their tables and made us feel welcome. Very attentive service, love this place
I love the option to sit outside in these uncertain times. The food was great. The service and ambience too. The singer was the best! Will definitely be back 😊
We had a lovely afternoon at the Farmhouse. As it happened we were the only patrons there. We sat outside under the tent, with a heater and we were quite comfortable. The food was excellent, as always, so was the service. It was a unique experience to be the only people there, and we never felt rushed. In fact, they kept telling us not to worry but to stay as long as we liked. It is a wonderful place to eat, before a play or not !
Loved the live music and the outdoor ambience. We’ll be back for sure.
In times where everyone is struggling to adapt to the new normal, the restaurants are adapting as well. That's what Farmhouse is doing as well. We made a reservation to sit outdoors. The table around the fire pit was pretty cozy. The food was served in closed and disposable containers. We were ok with it and felt like we were doing a picnic around the fire pit. The service was really great. The manager stopped by 2x to check on us and we enjoyed chatting with him. Although we got out the house for dinner, we felt at home at the Farmhouse!
Order was not correct. By the time my daughter's food had arrived everyone else had finished. Eggs were microwaved.
We are sorry that your order was not correct due to our error. I did come to your table to apologize and correct the issue. I can assure you that we do not microwave our eggs. I welcome you back to give us another opportunity exceed your expectations.
We had a nice night out for our anniversary! Food was and service was awesome as usual. Had a great guitarist playing. Gotta get the Filet Sliders, we love them!
This was our second time at the Farmhouse to enjoy being with a few friends, outside in a safe socially distanced setting. The food is very good, as are the wine choices and drinks and the service is excellent. We love the chance to hear live music on Friday nights. They now have a tent with open sides and heaters to keep you comfortable.
This is a wonderful outdoor eatery! Loved the little white lights and delicious filet sliders!
Nice venue. A little car noise since close to 401 but overall very nice experience. Service was great and light menu was good. Drinks were good, too.
We had a wonderful time at The Farmhouse. The food was generously portioned and delicious. We had onion rings and brussels sprouts for an appetizer, and sliders for an entree (with leftovers to bring home for lunch the next day).
We appreciated their commitment to making it a safe dining experience. The staff persons were friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed.
We went on a Friday night and the music was such a beautiful addition. We sat by the fire pit, and had a very lovely time. It was casual but also classy. Will definitely be back and highly recommend!
We recently had a girls night on a Friday evening. We all LOVED it! Not only is the farmhouse beautiful with all of the lights, the music was a great touch to our fantastic meal! We will all definitely be coming back and bringing our husbands!
Everything was great!
this was a lovely outdoor dining experience! The Farmhouse gardens atmosphere is just delightful, and it helps that the late summer weather is perfect for outdoor eating. The fare was traditional American--sandwiches, salads, and delightful mac n cheese.
We would love to see a better menu, like farm to table type foods. It would go very well with the beautiful garden setting and music.
What a treat, to eat delicious food in a lovely garden on a gorgeous summer afternoon! Distancing in place - very safe. Food, as usual, top notch with generous portions. Try the skinny margarita for a real treat.
We ate outdoors at the Farmhouse, which is new to them due to the pandemic. They have picnic tables set up, some with tablecloths and some with umbrellas. Unfortunately, all had ants, but I don't know what else they could do about that. We switched from an umbrella table to a tablecloth table, and that helped a little (the ants were marching up and down the umbrella, hurrah, hurrah). Everything was served in to-go containers, which was helpful in all the ways you could imagine. We ordered the waffle fries, which were loaded with cheese, bacon, fresh jalapenos and chives, with ranch on the side, which I was happy about 'cuz I'm not a huge ranch person. They were fresh and crispy, would definitely get again. My wife and I shared a burger and a salad. The burger was grilled, server on a kaiser roll with lettuce, tomato and onion, and pickles in their own container, all on the side. They did forget cheese, but honestly this burger didn't need it. Even halved, it was quite satisfying. The salad had goat cheese and strawberries, was very refreshing. There was live music as well, at a perfect volume. We're looking forward to going back.
Great experience! Amazing ambiance from acoustic music. Food delicious and servers were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend. We went with our children, kid-friendly. No wines by the glass though, need to buy a bottle or go with a mixed drink.
We had a birthday celebration there this week. The service was good the people were great but I do have one thing to report that could be better. We have been to other outdoor venues. We didn’t care for the meals coming out in “to go” containers at all. I truly understand the whole COVID thing but I have been to a restaurant similar in quality and set up and we had regular glassware and tableware. I felt the rolls on my petit fillet sliders were too soft/soggy because of it. Again I can’t stress enough how great the staff was but I think this maybe needs to have a re-look?
Open air dining. We had the feeling we were the only diners but in truth there were two other tables. The food was excellent but limited. We thought we could get a regular dinner but that was not available
Although we ate at the restaurant outside, our dinners we were served in takeout container.
Great atmosphere, waiter was great, food excellent. Would go back
Loved it. Food was excellent and staff was great!
Great service and food. Friday night with live music was really nice. We were sitting in the garden outside and enjoyed the evening immensely. We felt very safe with social distancing and staff wearing PPE. Thank you!
Outdoor dining with music (on this occassion) and tables placed with an extra safety margin beyond just standard social distancing.
Beautiful outdoor dining with wonderful live music and great food. What more could you ask for?
Terrific evening all around, with Anakai Ney's lovely voice, F. Bistro's outstanding food, competent staff, and a table in the shade.
It's always a pleasure to dine at the Bistro. We have never had a bad experience. They always get us to the play on time. We recommend this restaurant to all.
I am sure they will enjoy also.
Great place to catch up with friends. Food was delicious and brunch was a great price.
We went for the prix fixe brunch and play deal, and it couldn't have been more delightful. A real wood fire was burning in the fireplace; the service was quiet and efficient, and the food was delicious. Even though it was prix fixe, there were a number of options. Coffee was high quality and hot.
My family and I were delighted to discover The Farmhouse Bistro at People's Light. We've lived in the area for four years now and just stumbled into it on a Sunday brunch/lunch. The staff and service were great. The ambiance, furnishings, and local glassware provided a great experience. Loved the colored rock sugar sticks for the cappuccino (and so did my kids). The steak, caramelized apple french toast, and warm apple tartan were great!
Wonderful ambience, quiet environment conducive to conversation. Excellent service. Food was rather disappointing, very mediocre, could have been improved with more creative use of seasonings.
A special dinner out with our daughters prior to the People’s Light panto.
Food was much better than last few times we were in.
Live supporting the theater and the Bistro!
Convenient before an evening performance, with the staff careful to make sure one doesn't miss curtain time. Both of us enjoyed our entrees and desserts.
Everything was very good, however the already included 20% gratuity struck me as a little high especially since it was a buffet
Enjoyed the Thanksgiving Day Buffet at Farmhouse. Very good food, especially for the cost. Particularly enjoyed the fresh salad and fish. Also quality desserts. Wine and spirits might be better presented, but overall an excellent meal and experience.
Best idea we’ve had to date. The food was excellent. The staff was excellent. The place was beautiful. I will make sure to go again next year. And I will use the tickets provided for one of your shows. Thanks.
The food was phenomenal especially the butternut squash soup. The atmosphere was electric and the service was excellent. Thumbs up
