Went there for lunch with friends for Dine LA.
This restaurant is definitely one of my favorites: interesting menu, excellent food, good service but be forewarned, it is noisy.
Factory Kitchen is my favorite restaurant in Los Angeles, and possibly the world. The selections are not the run-of-the-mill, and sometimes even edgy. For example, they serve beef cheeks which has become one of my favorite dishes. Delicious melt in your mouth beef. The wine list is very good. And they make the best cannoli because the shells are crisp and the filling is creamy. They make the cannoli to order; they do not sit around with the filling in the shells to let the shells get soggy. You will not be disappointed.
Delicious dishes. Dine LA menu was great way to try different dishes, but wishing the drink could be substituted. Not all of us can drink during work hours.
I am long time patron of Factory Kitchen. It never fails. I miss some of the old staff, the service is good but it used to be great. Bring bad the plaid shirts, and I never see Chef Angelo anymore.
It was our first lunch visit (we've been for dinner). We all loved our food. Everything was delicious. The staff could not have been kinder or more accommodating.
consistently authentic and delicious regional Italian food
Great customer service! Servers are always attentive. Food is delicious as always. It was a pleasant surprise seeing Danny Devito at dinner. Can’t wait to go back.
Server was only so-so given how much the food costs? She also was pushing dessert .
Surprisingly busy both inside and out. However service was surprisingly slow and a bit inefficient. We had to ask for things a number of times.
One of my favorite starters, Frittura, is not on the menu now. Disappointed.
Vegetarian options are limited.
Very noisy environment and we were seated next to the cutlery/napkin station so waitress were constantly coming back and forth and clicking and clacking grabbing spooners. Not best mood/vibes.
This is “fine dining” so expect super small plates with minimal meat.
Very loud too. Feels like your in a movie scene, so not very romantic.
menu limited, pasta dishes too small, if outside, food cool by the time it arrives. Inside is way too noisy.
The food was as amazing as always. The tables felt a little too close to each other for comfort but otherwise a stellar dining experience. Great server who advised us well ( he talked us down from over-ordering) and really was attentive and friendly.
Everything was amazing until we got to the red snapper dish that the server Brian suggested. It was dry and didn’t have much taste. Will definitely stay away from that dish in the future
First time. Disappointed in the dishes we ordered. Scottona slow roasted beef was very dry. Vitello calf's liver was way overcooked; not a bit of pink so it was a bit chewy. Dessert was good. The panna cotta was very light and the fruit was fresh. The chianti was excellent. Maybe Friday was too busy for the kitchen and just an off night. Next time.
Food & ambience was so good. I recommend this restaurant.
always our "go-to" for excellent Italian food. We've never had a bad experience here and the food is authentic, inspired and fabulous!
Met 2 friends that had not been before. They were very pleased with the food.
All of the food was exquisite! My favorite dishes of the night were our entrees, which were the Duck Confit leg and the Wild Boar Sagu. Definetly two items to try! The ambience was energetic and our server was very attentive (she even switched our napkins to black ones so we wouldn't get lint on our clothes). Valet parking was very reasonable and there was actually a lot of street parking. The only criticism I had was that the negroni was mush sweeter than any other negroni I have ever tried. Other than that, top notch.
Food was cold
Wonderful place, “out of the way” in the best sense (i.e. not really out of the way; plenty of free, safe street parking if you get there early enough). Hearty, classic yet innovative Italian fare that left me and my friend stuffed. Our German waitress was extremely kind and didn’t rush us at all when we told her we wanted to hang out and chat. She helped make it a special evening - as did the food, of course!
The service was very disappointing, and the food was bland. I would maybe have tried it again if the service had not been so bad.
It’s very loud and crowded inside and the service, while okay, did not at all elevate the experience. That said, the food is delicious.
The food and drinks were delicious; great service and great atmosphere.
This is a review for outside seating only - I opted to sit outside due to Covid. The outdoor seating is in the parking lot. I appreciated that they fenced it off, and tried to make the fencing look better with a Venice print (I think that's what it was), but the ambience was not that nice. There was only about 3 other tables outside. The tables were nicely spaced, but there was no music, and I can hear every table's conversation. There was an occasional smell, I wasn't sure if it was the smell of gas, or something coming from the waste lines, or maybe the cars in the parking lot.
The food was good, but so much of my enjoyment is also from my environment, so I can't say I'd recommend it for the outdoor seating.
I have been here several times and have never had a negative experience.
The food is always amazing and the service great.
Like always , a great experience
The service was great and everyone was happy with their food choices.
Dinner was in a converted parking lot. Portions were small, with poorly cooked ingredients. Was not worth cost of meal.
Outstanding service! The signature handkerchief pasta with pesto was excellent. The second pasta dish with spicy calamari and clam was flavorful but too salty for us so I quickly asked our server to tell the chef to go easy on the salt for our third dish which was pan fried fish and sunchoke. For desert we had a modified version of tiramisu with a buckwheat cake instead of ladyfingers and it was quite nice even though the mascapone was a kind of too sweet for me. Our server was so nice to comp us the desert to make up for the salty pasta.
this is a special occasion spot for me now. service was great, delicious food, fun drinks and cool adult vibe. costs a pretty penny but fine with special friends and fam
Food and service were very good. Our server made wonderful recommendations. Staff was very attentive. We sat in the patio area and as soon as the weather turned cold, the heat lamps were turned on without us having to ask.
Met my daughter in LA where she was on a project and she recommended this restaurant. Fabulous quality of food from a menu with so many choices. We shared 3 dishes and left totally satisfied with the evening. Wish I lived in LA so that I could return. Approchable excellence - not common in restaurants with a Michelin Star.
Always a great meal here, and so pleased that they offer dining outside. Brought my mom here to celebrate her first post-lockdown trip to LA, as well as her birthday. She was throughly impressed with the meal, our server was super great, outdoor ambiance was spot on - it couldn’t have been a more lovely evening!
Great Service and excellent food Owners and Management were awesome. Great place for Lunch or Dinner
I’d been here once before (pre-covid) and loved it, so decided to take my parents while they were in town. We were all blown away and it was even better than I had remembered. The food is incredible and the indoor atmosphere is great. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, one of my favorites of any place I’ve eaten.
The food is really tasty. The service is pretty fast and good. The outdoor sitting need updating especially the parking lot side.
Noisy, Noisy, Noisy… and the food and service is outstanding. Guess you can’t have everything.
Awesome food and great service. New flare on Italian staples that did not disappoint. Will definitely be back!
Food is incredible. Extensive liquor/wine list. Great place for a date; sharing is encouraged and portions are perfect for that. Music and ambient noise are a bit loud, but that didn't detract from our wanting to eat every bite. Standouts were the beet and cheese starter, the porchetta, and the desserts.
