The Factory Kitchen - Los Angeles
To prioritize the health and safety of our team, our guests, and our community, and to assure continuity of business once this unprecedented health crisis is contained, my Partner, Chef Angelo Auriana, and I have made the difficult decision to VOLUNTARILY and TEMPORARILY SUSPEND THE OPERATIONS of our Downtown Los Angeles Restaurants: The Factory Kitchen, BRERA Ristorante, and sixth+mill pizzeria and bar effective tomorrow, March 15th, 2020.
We will do our very best to keep our loyal patrons and incredible dining community informed through our websites and social media as we learn more from the City of LA and LA County Public Health with whom we are in constant contact.
We are looking forward to serving you again very soon, and thank you for your generous support and understanding in this difficult time for our city and Country.
Stay Safe and Healthy,
Always a joy to dine here. A bit warm though, this time. Turn the heat down!
Absolutely DELICIOUS food! The roasted beet ravioli is TO. DIE. FOR! Service was exceptional. Highly recommend!
It was somewhat happenstance that we ended up dining here, but WOW. This is hands down our favorite Italian restaurant in LA. The service was perfect; warm, efficient, unobtrusive. The food was outstanding. I had the Casonzei, which was so flavorful and perfectly prepared. My son and husband had the Modenesei, which has truffle butter and truffles. Great, reasonably priced wines. Nice atmosphere, and reasonably priced. Do not miss.
Love this place! One of my favorite go-to’s in LA!
Birthday lunch with friends..
Good food and a super waiter..
Nice ambiance.. will go back!
Everything was delicious. Make sure you include the focaccina in your meal. The meal was so good that our LA friends booked dinner with friends the following weekend!
Good food but little salty
Been wanting to try Factory Kitchen for a while, but found the overall experience just OK. Had a reservation but had to wait 30 minutes to get seated. Their Cavolonero salad was bland and underdressed, their signature mandilli di seta pasta was pretty good as was the cansonzei, but the modenedi felt like an uninspired truffle play that didn’t showcase its star ingredient very well. All in all there are much better pasta experiences for the price point, and I do not think I will return.
One of best restaurants (Italian) in the LA area. Have been there multiple times. Most recent visit we had the mandilli and casonzei, Their cannoli is one of the best I have ever had. I almost order the cannoli whenever I get the opportunity. You will not be disappointed. Will be going back.
Fantastic service. Pasta is amazing! Good cocktail menu as well.
The server was friendly, but sadly not attentive or visible throughout our dinner. Someone from our table was always trying to flag him down or we were asking other staff for service.
The best Italian food. Eating here makes me feel like I’m in Italy.
Always enjoy a visit to Factory Kitchen. The food is outstanding!
Without a doubt, The Factory Kitchen has amazing food and great wait staff. Don't be in a rush when you go...our mistake was trying to eat before the theatre...even with plenty of time...as you won't get seated at the time of your reservation. Also, it's not the best place for a large group as it is quite noisy...loud talking + music so you might prefer to be with one or just a few folks.
Once we were finally seated, we let our waitress know that we had theatre tickets and she did an awesome job accomodating us by getting our food to us in great time and making sure we had what we needed several times. Again, fantastic food, great energy...just not the place to be in a rush. Oh..and bring your own wine..they will uncork it for you for a reasonable fee. Enjoy!
Great service and amazing food. Definitely recommend!
Pastas are amazing
Food was excellent. Andrew the General Manager was very knowledgeable about the wines they carry and described the entrees with great detail. He kept us entertained with little stories of the voyage of the ingredients. And great descriptions of the plates.
Much too long to be served.
Menu very limited and unappealing.
No gluten free options
We have been there many times before and it was excellent all around. We would NOT return!
Great food in refurbished factory - fun atmosphere, a little loud-so not for quiet conversations
I was celebrating a birthday. Food was great. Service was very good.
Food was tasty yet expensive for what it is
Place is very nice
Parking is difficult unless you pay valet
Food was unique and very good. We had prosciutto with burrata on dough and also seared tuna for appetizers. Our group had osso buco, porchetta, and some pasta dishes. Everyone enjoyed. For dessert our group had banana bread pudding, gelato and a cake similar to tiramisu. The tiramisu was on buckwheat cake so it was a little unusual. The wines were expensive for a glass ranging $14-24. The restaurant brought a special dessert for a birthday in our group. Overall we enjoyed our experience but did not find it over the top amazing.
Food we ordered were, we have to say that, better than average. The service was OK. It was a bit loud inside that it was difficult to talk to our friends at the other end of the table. Prices were reasonable to what we got. Comparing to other places, I'd have to give 4 stars.
The food here is fantastic! The handkerchief pasta lives up to the hype. Minus 1 star for having to wait 25 mins even though we had a reservation and the cocktail I ordered tasted like cough medicine.
Great service and excellent food. The beet ravioli and prosciutto shared appetizer were amazing.
This was a birthday celebration meal, and I made the reservations stating it was a birthday, the restaurant called me to confirm the reservations and I reminded them it was a birthday celebration, yet not one single person at the restaurant wished our daughter a happy birthday. Not one!
To top that off, we weren't given our points for the reservation.
Pasta was mediocre - a lot of their dishes are heavily salted. Nothing stood out. I’d recommend Rossoblu or Bestia instead.
The food is absolutely delicious! The price is fair but it’s one of the best Italian restaurants in town. The Hostess and servers were very accommodating. One of the bartender on bar however was lacking the whole philosophy, “service with a smile.” The Ambiance is casual with a hint of young hipster professionals and the atmosphere is definitely loud and bustling. Overall it was good experience.
Amazing food at a reasonable price. I loved the ambience and they treated us very well!!!
Food was great and the service top notched. We will definitely be back.
We love this place so much! Food is top notch, incredible quality and very delicious.
Awesome dinner! Dined with my brother who is from out of town and we were both duly impressed!
The Factory Place Hospitality Group (Factory Kitchen, Brera Ristorante and sixth+mill) has the best options for Italian in DTLA!
Had a team dinner of 15 and was really pleased with the service. Timely but not hurried. Food was consistently delicious.
The food is always amazing, particularly the prosciutto on fried sage dough, handkerchief pasta and beef cheeks. The service was highly attentive.
Birthday - great
A very enjoyable dinner. Had the Porchetta which was delish but a little bit dry. Had the cannoli for dessert which was absolute heaven.
One of the better restaurants in LA. Wonderfully consistent and inventive Italian.
Great service and outstanding pastas
Food and service second to none. But we like best was the service was excellent without being pretentious. Will definitely go back.
