The Factory Kitchen - Los Angeles
Helmed by Restaurateur Matteo Ferdinandi, his wife Beverage Director Francine Diamond-Ferdinandi and their longtime friend and Partner Executive Chef Angelo Auriana, the Factory Kitchen re-defined the approach and the experience to casual dining in the city by combining elements of culinary arts, service, and design.
A traditional Italian Restaurant & Bar in the heart of the Arts District of Downtown Los Angeles, the Factory Kitchen culinary concept focuses on local recipes from the Northern Italian Regions; but emphasizes on some Ligurian traditional dishes like Mandilli di Seta al Pesto alla Genovese and the Focaccina Calda al Formaggio di Recco.

Always enjoy a visit to Factory Kitchen. The food is outstanding!
Without a doubt, The Factory Kitchen has amazing food and great wait staff. Don't be in a rush when you go...our mistake was trying to eat before the theatre...even with plenty of time...as you won't get seated at the time of your reservation. Also, it's not the best place for a large group as it is quite noisy...loud talking + music so you might prefer to be with one or just a few folks.
Once we were finally seated, we let our waitress know that we had theatre tickets and she did an awesome job accomodating us by getting our food to us in great time and making sure we had what we needed several times. Again, fantastic food, great energy...just not the place to be in a rush. Oh..and bring your own wine..they will uncork it for you for a reasonable fee. Enjoy!
Great service and amazing food. Definitely recommend!
Pastas are amazing
Food was excellent. Andrew the General Manager was very knowledgeable about the wines they carry and described the entrees with great detail. He kept us entertained with little stories of the voyage of the ingredients. And great descriptions of the plates.
Great food in refurbished factory - fun atmosphere, a little loud-so not for quiet conversations
I was celebrating a birthday. Food was great. Service was very good.
Food was tasty yet expensive for what it is
Place is very nice
Parking is difficult unless you pay valet
Food was unique and very good. We had prosciutto with burrata on dough and also seared tuna for appetizers. Our group had osso buco, porchetta, and some pasta dishes. Everyone enjoyed. For dessert our group had banana bread pudding, gelato and a cake similar to tiramisu. The tiramisu was on buckwheat cake so it was a little unusual. The wines were expensive for a glass ranging $14-24. The restaurant brought a special dessert for a birthday in our group. Overall we enjoyed our experience but did not find it over the top amazing.
Food we ordered were, we have to say that, better than average. The service was OK. It was a bit loud inside that it was difficult to talk to our friends at the other end of the table. Prices were reasonable to what we got. Comparing to other places, I'd have to give 4 stars.
The food here is fantastic! The handkerchief pasta lives up to the hype. Minus 1 star for having to wait 25 mins even though we had a reservation and the cocktail I ordered tasted like cough medicine.
Great service and excellent food. The beet ravioli and prosciutto shared appetizer were amazing.
This was a birthday celebration meal, and I made the reservations stating it was a birthday, the restaurant called me to confirm the reservations and I reminded them it was a birthday celebration, yet not one single person at the restaurant wished our daughter a happy birthday. Not one!
To top that off, we weren't given our points for the reservation.
Pasta was mediocre - a lot of their dishes are heavily salted. Nothing stood out. I’d recommend Rossoblu or Bestia instead.
The food is absolutely delicious! The price is fair but it’s one of the best Italian restaurants in town. The Hostess and servers were very accommodating. One of the bartender on bar however was lacking the whole philosophy, “service with a smile.” The Ambiance is casual with a hint of young hipster professionals and the atmosphere is definitely loud and bustling. Overall it was good experience.
Amazing food at a reasonable price. I loved the ambience and they treated us very well!!!
Food was great and the service top notched. We will definitely be back.
We love this place so much! Food is top notch, incredible quality and very delicious.
Awesome dinner! Dined with my brother who is from out of town and we were both duly impressed!
The Factory Place Hospitality Group (Factory Kitchen, Brera Ristorante and sixth+mill) has the best options for Italian in DTLA!
Had a team dinner of 15 and was really pleased with the service. Timely but not hurried. Food was consistently delicious.
The food is always amazing, particularly the prosciutto on fried sage dough, handkerchief pasta and beef cheeks. The service was highly attentive.
Birthday - great
A very enjoyable dinner. Had the Porchetta which was delish but a little bit dry. Had the cannoli for dessert which was absolute heaven.
One of the better restaurants in LA. Wonderfully consistent and inventive Italian.
Great service and outstanding pastas
Food and service second to none. But we like best was the service was excellent without being pretentious. Will definitely go back.
The food was excellent, especially the handkerchief pasta and the Porchetta. Wine list had interesting choices but could be more representative of the glories of Italian grape varieties. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Noise level is WAY too high. Installing some noise dampening would be most welcome.
Incredible Italian food, great group atmosphere but...
Do not come here as a 1st date, Noise level is off the charts and you won’t be the only one getting to know your date.
Loved the open kitchen and the smells coming out of that place makes your mouth water.
Quite possibly the freshest damn pasta in LA. Really nice salads as well. Friendly and efficient service. Tables are close together and the place can get a bit noisy, so don’t expect the quiet intimate conversation to proceed unfettered.
All the staff was very attentive and the food delicious. I had the cremosella salad, salmon and for desert the pane ... All delicious!
The food was excellent!
Awesome every time!!!!!
We always love this resto. It’s in the top 5 in Los Angeles.
Great food. Very loud noise level. Service was fine.
Everything was delicious! Best Northern Italian in LA!
Such a great room, it had a really nice energy and vibe. Staff was very attentive and had great recommendations. The porchetta was divine and I am definitely coming back just for that. Looking forward to my next visit here. So glad they participated in dineLA.
Food was amazing!!! Service is exceptional. Waiters will explain what is in the yummy dishes being enjoyed.
It was the best restaurant week dinner set I have ever had! $49 you get an appetizer, one pasta and one meat course, and a glass of wine! Removing the desert is perfect for me to keep calories low. We have three people so we covered almost all the dishes that are on the dinner set menu, and none of it disappointed us, all of them are delicious and delicate!
Took our boys there after a show and the food was excellent. Service was great. We had a wonderful time.
