Prix fixe Valentine’s Day menu was delicious but not mentioned anywhere on the Open Table site. Based on my experience with another restaurant on a holiday, I suspect it’s difficult for restaurants to note Special Menus or hours. The Prix fixe menu was the only option tonight. I enjoyed it and didn’t mind paying the high price for a multi-course meal. However, 2 tables left after receiving their bread, and I suspect it was because the price surprised them.

I have already written this to you, however, my rating is poor because when we arrived at the restaurant for the birthday celebration, the restaurant was closed up tighter than a drum. There was no one there! This was inspite of lights, including a Xmas tree, on. I call ed the retaurant & got no answer but did leave a message. We went on to find another restaurant. About 45 minutes later a woman called from Emeralds saying she had a "quick errand" she had to do & thought she would get back before we arrived. So sorry. How many restaurants do you know that only have one person working each night!? Her explanation made no sense to us. surely, someone else would have been there. I mean there was not a soul in the restaurant! Emeralds has really gone downhill & we will NEVER go again.

I heard about this place about 20 years ago and wanted to try it for a celebration for my boyfriend. The pictures online must be from when they first opened. It’s shocking when you get inside. I wished I had walked out but didn’t want to make a scene in front of my BF. It’s old and dirty. We ordered a bottle of wine that took over 30 mins to arrive & be opened. The wine tasted as it had been turned and the cork was completely dry meaning they don’t store wine properly. Each food item took 30 min each to serve. I ordered the Irish dish they are known for & they were out so I had to choose a steak. Once we got the main course served. My meat had been frozen & it was not a filet mignon as advertised. I did not eat it. The vegetables were awesome. Within 10 min of serving the main course the lady kept coming back asking to clear the table. It was weird. The whole process took 2 hours. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Not worth the $200 spent. Stay away.

A truly unique experience! You feel like you went back in time eating in an authentic Irish cottage. The service is exceptional and the food is sumptuous. The onion soup is the best I've ever eaten and the duck was mouth watering delicious. It is definitely worth the price. We save The Emerald for special occasions and date nights.

Food is authentic but a bit overpriced. Service was attentive but theres only a couple of servers for the many guests that were dining in, so there’s a but of a wait when you need water filled up, getting your check, etc.

Everyone should experience a meal at the Emerald! It was like stepping back into time. Very cute and quaint space that makes you feel like you are in an Irish pub. Michelle our server was the sweetest and shared allot of the history with us. The food was phenomenal and the portions were so big, we left very satisfied.

This is a wonderful quiet romantic spot with truly an Irish experience. The food was fantastic and the service was wonderful. The proprietors were Hostess and Chef, and also Sisters. We were there 2 hours and enjoyed every minute. Great special occasion restaurant. Kinda of hidden off 71 , but don't miss this place!

Quiet, quaint family business. Attentive service but slow. Tend to be out of menu items.
