The Homestead Restaurant + Lounge at The Eldred Preserve, named "The Best Fine Dining Restaurant in the Upper Delaware Valley," offers an elevated dining experience — featuring house-aged steaks and farm-to-table fare — all year long.

The modern steakhouse features several unique experiential spaces, including floor-to-ceiling windows in its main dining area, a wine-tasting room, private dining room, sunroom dining area, and an expansive covered, heated outdoor patio that’s ideal for dining al fresco. The atmosphere was very nice and the background piano music was very relaxing. It would have been nice to see the bartenders have a smile on their faces. We were seated at a nice table. Our shrimp cocktail appetizer was very good. Dinner took a very long time to be served and when it arrived, my husband's strip steak was awful - it was cold and he could barely cut it with his knife. My salmon was mediocre at best. After speaking with the manager about the quality of the steak (which we are not complainers), our bill was adjusted. Overall, we were disappointed with our dinner.

Overall Ambiance is very nice. Food was good the Calamari and spinach portions for the price were disappointing. One steak was overcooked but service was off and inattentive that we just let it go as so much time passed.

This is my third time at the Homestead, and, unfortunately, I was disappointed. I was looking forward to having the filet mignon, but it was dry. There wasn't any juice at all. The usually outstanding bread was hard rather than moist and gooey. The onion soup, though, was the best! My daughter's burger was overcooked, and my husband's pasta dish was just ok and a tiny portion. We were all let down, especially since I kept hyping this restaurant. I would be willing to try the Homestead again because the food was outstanding the first two times I visited.

They accepted and honored our reservation for 8:00 pm for 6 people, and the restaurant closes at 8:00 pm. Was seated promptly. Service was good. Menu had a great selection. Food was delicious. This was my second time here. I would definitely return when in the area again. The grounds and restaurant are very beautful.
