Our service was very friendly but very slow. It, however, wasn’t like our waitress was standing around doing nothing. She was quite busy! My only explanation is perhaps she was dealing with a slow or unorganized kitchen. It took a long time for our food to arrive. Fortunately, the ambiance was lively and the space was spotless. My family and I enjoyed being there and enjoyed our conversation. The crab and artichoke dip was delicious. The collard greens were also delicious. The truffle fries were addicting. I was disappointed with my steak with brown butter sauce. It had no flavor. My family and I did not order dessert because we feared it would take too long. The food presentation was nice.
The bartender was great doing tricks with every drink he made and the other staff was friendly as well.
Nova our server was Amazing as well as our busser Coran! The food was Delicious OMG! Will definently be returning soon!!

I liked the mimosa flight option but the food and ambience was just “meh. Food was somewhat under seasoned. The wait staff was very good. Doubt I’ll return.
Delicious brunch food, but I don’t like that you can’t order eggs, grits, etc as sides. Those options definitely need to be added.
I reserved a table for 4 people to celebrate Father’s Day for my husband and kids. First, when I called to confirm, the lady who answered was unfriendly and hanged up abruptly. When we got there, same impolite and unwelcoming attitude from the host. The person who served us water was mute. Our waitress, Nova was good, although she only came once to ask if I wanted another cocktail and then neglected us for the rest of the evening. After handing our check to us, she asked us if we’d come back. We were kind of enough to smile and said “ok”, but no, we would not return and will not recommend to anyone this place. Perhaps we would’ve offered her more feedback, but we felt as though she was in a rush and couldn’t care less for our input. We went to Firebirds with my father in law for lunch, and sad to say, but service and food there was more impressive.
We were so pleased with the food and service at The Dunavant and we can’t wait to come back!

I brought out of town friends and my mom here for dinner and it is always a hit.. Their food is so good and for some of my friends who are watching what they eat, they had some lighter options and not so carb heavy stuff. Their truffle fries are so good and their steak is always cooked tender and perfect. Drinks were alright but the food was spot on. They all loved it. The service was good and the location is nice because parking is a breeze, unlike most other places in southend.
The 22% gratuity was ambitious but it was a nice experience. I didn’t understand the bottle service vs the mimosa flight but again it was a nice day.
The food and ambience was great! I would recommend the chicken and funnel cake dish. Superb!

Extremely dissatisfying treatment by the hostess and maybe manager. I’m not sure if the hostess was supposed to communicate it better. However, they open at 5pm and our party of four arrived at 5:20pm on a Friday. We look around and we are the only soon to be customers there. No exaggeration. We ask her for a table of four and she says they can’t take “walk ins” after asking the manager. That’s basically all she said. She didn’t say sorry, she didn’t recommend us making our reservation, she didn’t try to make sure we stayed. Simply made that statement and expected us to leave. Because we had already arrived I was adamant about eating here. I had to ask several questions to be guided to open table to make a reservation as we stood in front of them because they “couldn't” or wouldn’t make us one. As we stand in front of them we make a reservation for 5:30pm and we get to be the first ones sat and the restaurant stayed pretty empty until towards the end of our meal when we waited quite awhile before our waitress came to take our dessert orders and then to give us our check. Overall our waitress was probably their only saving grace. A lot of places do quite a bit better that’s why I don’t recommend this place to others. There’s other places with better food and getting through the doors is always smoother. The food wasn’t terrible. The salad was great, the fries were amazing, but the entrees were a little of a let down. The steak wasn’t a great cut and was supposed to be drowned in sauce otherwise I assume they would’ve added more seasoning to it I’m sure.
I went back in April and it was wonderful. It just wasn’t that good to me this time. Still a very nice setting and atmosphere… The food didn’t seem like I got much as last time & the drinks wasn’t good at all.

The experience was great for our Sunday brunch! The service was excellent and the food and drinks were even better! Also we really appreciate Nova for going the extra mile in making our ladies outing a memorable one!
Our server, Nova, was great! The space was comfortable and inviting. Although we didn't try the signature funnel cake, our food was pretty good. Loved the mimosa flight!
Horrible food. Absolutely WORST steak I have ever been served. Couldn’t even cut with steak knife it was so full of grissel. Service was very good given the small staff. Go ANYWHERE but this place if you want good food.
Loved this place, will visit again soon. Do yourself a favor and try it out.

I think if we would have gotten the steak deal the food might have been good since that is what they are known for, but everything we ordered lacked flavor.

We’ve been here before and really enjoyed it but on this night the service was very slow, the drinks and food took a long time to arrive at the table and and my steak arrived cold, grisly and tough, even though it was recommended as their signature dish.
Incredible. Amber was super knowledgeable, so sweet and created the perfect pace for our group. Every dish was better than the last. Would love to take a gallon of the Gorgonzola Crema home with me and put it on everything. Drinks were delicious. Music was all bangers. Lights, candles, tables... all of it was dope. Would recommend and will be back over and over again. Thank you, Dunavant!
Hidden gem in Charlotte. Brunch is excellent. The fried chicken and funnel cake is a favorite. Mimosa flights are a must.

I LOVED this restaurant. The brunch was amazing. The stuffed oysters were delicious. Chicken and funnel cake is an interesting and delicious combo. The vibe was nice and the bar was cute. Definitely will be coming back here when I’m in Charlotte again.
There's a lot to love here!
Fantastic food and a great vibe. We shared the mussels to start and the $1 add-on pita bread is a true must. The mussels were huge, the broth was thick and tasty, and I'd for sure order that again. My wife was able to say – for the first time ever, perhaps – that her steak was cooked perfectly. The short ribs were good (a bit salty) and the veggies were well prepared.
Our service was a bit lacking – yes, it was later Saturday night (830p seating) – but we didn't get visited much. When she came, she was a delight. Other than that, we walked out of there well fed at a fair price.
