I must’ve driven past the Duke hundreds of times over the years, always meant to give it a go, and today we did. Excellent Sunday lunch. Thick slices of rare roast beef and my partner maintained it was the best veggie roast she’d had (artichoke hearts and pine nuts). Four year old also loved her meal and the outside garden area. Will be back.

Went for Sunday lunch. Beef was excellent. Lunch could have done with being a bit hotter. Sweets excellent. Service good considering crowded restaurant area.

Fresh and hot with good portions. Sunday Roast is excellent. Service was exemplary, even when we changed our group number and moved tables to accommodate a dog.

We were met with a glass of prosecco to celebrate our anniversary, which was unexpected and such a lovely way to start our evening. The service was great, very friendly helpful staff. We enjoyed a lovely meal and even a small issue with the Mac n Cheese was dealt with swiftly. Thank you!

Visit started well but as the evening wore on we felt like the staff couldn’t get rid of us quickly enough 8.45 or so on a Sunday evening is very early - portion size on the special fish dish that one of the guests had was very small - overall I’ve been to this pub and had good food and service in the past - hopefully this was just a blip

Very disappointing Sunday lunch. Such a shame the food is usually so good. The food was tepid & the gravy was vile. I am a regular customer.
