   Went for pizza and to hear the Fabulous Jazz Pantz band. Great evening! Lovely new female staff member was very helpful and attentive

   3 of us had beef Sunday Roast, and 2 had assorted starters as their shared main. The roast platters were varied among the 3 of us, with one receiving noticeably less beef, and one receiving noticeably more. Some of the beef was dry and over-cooked, and unfortunately, the potatoes were very overdone. Veg was fresh, delicious, and plentiful, Yorkshire pudding was quite good, and gravy was plentiful. The 2 vegetarians enjoyed their assortment of starters very much. Service was sporadic, and somewhat short, but no real big issues. Outdoor garden seating (first-come, first-serve) is fabulous, and we enjoyed it very much. Overall a solid experience, but I don't know that I'd rely on the beef roast in the future.

   Had a lovely time spending time with the family that had come to visit. We had a young male waiter he was lovely great service and excellent hospitality. Food was delicious and big portions thank you I will definitely come again and highly recommended.

   I had fish and chips, the chips were dreadful. Most of the chips were dark brown, either over cooked or over fried. They were empty shells of chips. the telly was on for tennis, only one non eating person watched it. Recommended yes but don't eat chips there

   My friend and i arrived at 1.30 for a pint before our table booking. We sat in the non dining area. Table was booked for 2.15 on Sunday and we sat at our table at exactly 2.15. It was well over 5 minutes before waiter came to take our orders. We had placed our order by 2.25 but food didn't arrive until 3pm - which was too long given the venue was not packed or super busy. The reserved seating are was only half full. I had noticed while waiting for food in that period that loads of food orders were going to the non reserved dining area to what were clearly walk ins/non reserved customers and nothing was coming out to the reserved dining area customers. About 15 minutes before food finally arrived i went to the bathroom and noticed that 2 people were sat at the table that my friend and i had sat at for a pint before our booking and one of them was half through eating his Sunday roast. How does that work? A customer arrives and sits at a table after me but has almost finished lunch before mine even arrives? It's quite clear that for some bizarre reason that this venue is prioritising walk-ins over guests who book table. Either that or staff have not been trained. Either way what's the point of having a reservation system if walk-ins always get priority. This is back to front and not appropriate. Was not impressed with my visit (which was my first)

   Just a lovely pub. Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. We had a perfect Sunday family roast and the staff were so accommodating to some of our party who have specific food requirements.

   we had excellent food and service but the noise from the TV showing the Rugby was unbelievably loud. There seemed to be 4 people watching it so not sure why they had to blast it. Was a shame.

   Waited awhile to order because lady was busy talking to barman,when food came the chips were covered in rosemary and the burger had no taste what so ever. I had to pay an added 1.50 for cheese but I wouldn't even see the cheese

    Our food was cold on arrival because it was served on cold plates. A table for eight was ordered but only six places were provided. We had to split into two groups. Service was very slow, and at one time rude. They must have realised that we were dissatisfied, as they did not charge for coffee or pit any service charge. As a regular Sunday lunch group, we have eaten there before and always have been pleased. Was it a change of manager, or just a lack of staff?
