   Waitress was amazing. We had 2 happy hour hors d’oeurves - crawfish hush puppies and roasted Brussels and then split the mahi mahi tostadas (2) which we very tasty and huge!

   No waiting for a table for brunch. Austin served our drinks but our table obviously was not assigned to his section. We quickly had another wait staff take our food order. Great brunch and lunch options, good presentation, tasted wonderful..... shrimp and grits were awesome (minus the egg). Big breakfast was very good. Great Bloody Mary too. I just hope our waitress was having a better afternoon than she did morning. Go for the food... it was awesome.

   Restaurant was early empty except one large table of ladies who were so loud, that we had to ask to be moved to Cellar 7. The space in Cellar 7 was dirty. Looked as if the staff was prolonging to getting the tables cleared and space set back up.

   We had reservations for 8:45pm on Valentine’s Day. We arrived about 20 minutes early in hopes to have a few drinks at the bar. We were seated at a brightly lit, oddly placed bar & left alone for about 10 minutes. A server finally came over & handed us menus & proceeded to explain the specials. We politely stopped him & told him that we were just sitting wanting for a drink until our reserved table was ready. He left & never came back. Another employee came about 10 more minutes later & took us to a table. We sat down but soon realized the table they had seated us at was still dirty from the patrons before us. I had sat my purse on the table before I realized it was dirty. It had some sort of sauce on the bottom of it from the table. My husband & I were both very disappointed & more put off by the moment. We discussed it for a few minutes & decided to just quietly excuse ourselves. We walked a couple of blocks & got seated at the bar at Morton’s Steakhouse where we also enjoyed dinner. We had a great experience there. I can’t say the same for The District. The service, bar, timeliness & cleanliness of The District were all very disappointing!

   It was just an ok experience for me. Went there for Valentines day, had an 8:15pm reservation, and I arrived at 8:13pm, they didn't have a table for us, so they sat us at a community table, then when a table came open, they gave it to a couple that showed up late but had a 8pm reservation. I thought that was odd. But we ended up getting seated just before 8:30p. Service was ok, I had to get up and get my own water twice. Food was decent. I think maybe it was a bad night. Food and environment was worth giving them a 2nd try.

   Food is tasteless, terrible, overpriced. Were out of several beers on the menu, served us hot champagne. Couldn’t believe this place was still in business.

   That place is Nice and they have a good Menu but one of their big items on the Menu are the Oysters and they didn’t have them available in Valentines day, I also notice my server was attending my table and another table all the way across the restaurant, that makes her work very hard because they can’t keep up with their customers and as a result as you end up getting poor service, in my opinion the problem is the management making bad decisions, the food was good and the restaurant has a great vibe and a awesome view.

   Mentioned that it was my wife’s birthday and anniversary for the reservation. The reservation was not available so we waited in the bar area then no mention of birthday or anniversary and then the oysters that we ordered never came, didn’t find out until the end of the meal that they were out of oysters. The young man who waited on us was nice and worked hard to keep us happy but was seemingly trying to deal with poor management both in the kitchen and on the floor.

   Decent food, they messed up three times on my girlfriends order: gave her crab cakes when she wanted a salad, her steak was cold and the asparagus was way over cooked, and then gave her the wrong dessert

    This was our first visit to The District as we are trying as many downtown restaurants with friends. This was Super Bowl Sunday so very quiet and slow, but the waitstaff was very attentive and we all enjoyed our meals. The charcuterie appetizer was perfect for the four of us and I certainly enjoyed the paella but was more than I could eat and did not leave room to try dessert. Next time...
