   We were looking to our dinner in the Dining Room at the Omni Homestead resort but it was a bit of a letdown. There was a buffet offered and a very limited menu, both of which were $65. The buffet had pasta with meatballs, fried pork, grilled chicken and that’s about it. The optional menu had two or three choices for appetizer, main course and dessert. We chose the buffet only because we had our two year old grandson with us and we didn’t want to have to wait. The food tasted mediocre at best. The service was good and the ambiance was beautiful so that made up for the lack of good food. The meal, with tax and gratuity, and without any drinks, was $170! Way too much to pay for a mediocre culinary experience.

   Excellent experience at Dinning Room for Valentine’s Day dinner. Outstanding 5 courses meal, beautifully presented and great flavors! Service was really accommodating for a special occasion, really thankful to a manager that checked on our table several times (didn’t get his name unfortunately) thank you for that truffle mashed potatoes , they were heaven!! Highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy a special evening !

   At Front of Hotel, we were greeted by a smiling Cory. We continued through the resort to MDR. Everyone both guests and staff greets each other as we passed by. At MDR, we were warmly greeted by Host Mike and every server as we were taken to our window table. Our Server Claudia was extremely professional and has a lovely sense of humor that my husband's family has enjoyed for many many years. We choose The Fixed Dining Room Valentine's Dinner for Two. Every course was spot on in presentation and taste. Great job by culinary staff. Manager Josh pleasantly checked on us and chatted with us several times. Chef Don enthusiastically chatted with us several times too. You could tell Chef Don was very passionate about his job. I loved my husband's face when Chef Don lit the dessert. Thank you to everyone for doing an outstanding job in making Our Valentine's Dinner Evening Special.

   The Homestead is undergoing a huge renovation project. But, the Dining Room never disappoints. It is still so elegant and beautiful. Our dinner was amazing and our server was great! I think his name was Nevill. He was from Jamaica. The piano player was outstanding! We could have stayed all night to listen. The Dining Room is also amazing for breakfast! The buffet is SO good!

    The Homestead under renovation but the main dining room was open, which was surprising. It was not full like it usually is, Jackets are usually required but I am assuming it’s changed during the renovation. Food was great and so was the service. It can be hit or miss with these restaurants.

    Loved the service! Your People are your treasure! Trevor!! Renovations are wonderful! 30 years ago we honeymooned! Christmas decor great!! The Dining Room was too big, not intimate enough. Suggest: Lights down, less active, slow the service down just a bit. Families dine at a different time? That’s a tough one. But still, wonderful!     The fixed menu was grossly overpriced, the waiters did not smile or make us feel at ease, they acted like it was a huge burden to bring us our choice of beverage (beer), the chicken was dry and tasteless, and there simply was not enough food. We had to order a second meal from the Jefferson Restaurant to get enough to eat that night. We are highly disappointed.

    The Dining Room ( for dinner) has been closed on days we visited the past couple of years. We visited 2 nights this week and were happy to dine there once again. It is a multi-course PRIX FIXE dinner menu. Everything we had was delicious. It was wonderful to dine with piano music, excellent wait staff, table linens , and a well prepared and attractively plated delicious dinner.

    Excellent dinner, with perfect portion sizes. Price fix menu, where you leave comfortable and not stuffed. Oscar was a great waiter, very attentive. Chef came out to check on us, he was very nice and we had a great conversation regarding perfect portions. The maître d’ was also very attentive, and we had some good conversation with him as well. Overall great experience. Would definitely dine there again.

    I did not know what to expect with the new fixed multicourse menu in the Dining Room. I have to say the chef outdid himself. Everything we had was delicious and properly proportioned. He came out to speak and explained how he developed the menu. I would highly recommend dining there.

    We had the 5 course menu for dinner. The chef selections for appetizers were interesting and tasty. Salads were not your standard garden or Caesar, much better! I selected the Chateaubriand and my sister had the trout almondine. both were beautifully plated and cooked as requested. A surprise birthday slice of cake was presented, in addition to our menu dessert!

    Dining at the Dining Room at the Homestead was a delightful experience. The setting and service were outstanding. Allie was a great server, and the pianist was excellent! The chateaubriand, cauliflower soup and dessert were outstanding. The salad was "gritty." Hopefully, this wasn't anything but a little clean sand:) I appreciated the variety of choices on the fixed price menu although it was a bit pricy for the amount we had. Over-all it was a special evening.

    Overall a great meal. We had a great table literally across from the pianist with about 30 young children under the ages of 10 "dancing and running" all over the dance floor. It was very lively and loud to say the least. The downside to the evening! Omar was our server and he was fantastic. Great sense of humor and great attention to details. He made our dinner great, Was very professional and on top of everything. Five STARS to Omar!!!!!

    I've never had a four-course meal, so treating my family to an exquisite dining experience was worth it! The staff fawned all over us and kept the courses coming. The grand dining hall truly set the ambiance with a grand piano playing and our water glasses never emptied beyond half full. I understand that supply chain problems are causing costs to rise and food is no exception. However, the dining experience should not be $95/person (before taxes and tip) when all we had to drink was water. My mother-in-law's Chateaubriand was overcooked (even though she was gracious enough to say it was fine). I wondered why the waiter stood beside her when there were 3 other plates with Chateaubriand. I think he knew it was overcooked. I would pay $75/person for the same experience and would even buy a bottle of wine to share with the family. Again, the entire experience was outstanding, but really would rather not invest hundreds of dollars for a two-hour experience like that again.

    The service and surroundings were excellent. However, considering the cost of the meal relative to the lack of quality for the meal, we will probably not dine in the main dining room again when we visit the Homestead. We enjoy the hotel and the activities, but for $95/person, the food should of a higher quality.
