Really felt the food options were a nice blend, nice choices. Service was great and we were a big group, they were very attentive.
Food is expensive and heavy. Waiter very nice. Dancing and music a nice addition and there should be more focus on allowing children to join. Even if an early seating that doesn’t cause issue with the older crowd
Great old hotel dining room. Service and food were excellent. We felt welcome, and lots of old standbys on the menu, along with some new choices. We had a very pleasant dinner.
Not only was the food wonderful and the ambiance elegant, the service was super. Frederick and Bryder did a wonderful job. Even though Fredereck has several tabs to wait on, he was attentive and did a great job of taking care of us. What was most impressive was that the next day at breakfast both Frederick and Bryder called us by name and welcomed us back. Very rare for me to see someone able to remember the customer's name the next day after serving many couples the night before.
Food was very good and atmosphere and wait staff were wonderful. Only negative is that it’s a bit pricey.
The food and the service are excellent. The waiters are very knowledgeable and excellent, friendly
PROS: Interesting food selections, service and entertainment. The trout almondine was perhaps the best entre I've ever eaten. The service was impeccable- attentive to every detail. The servers took great pride in making sure the dining experience was a delight for guests. The live music put the cherry on top of a wonderful meal and evening.
CONS: The dining room has pleasing ambience, but it was lessened by a very casual dress code. Folks dressed in formal attire may be seated next to folks in jeans and less-than-business-casual shirts, dampening what would have otherwise been a first class experience.
The food was good but not as hot as it should have been. I felt rush in our dinner . They placed us near a window on the side where there was cold air coming through. They did move us but only one table away so my view of the kitchen staff area. It was Valentines and it really didn't measure up with service in the past visits to the dining room.
Excellent dining experience. Food was delicious and the music delightful. Servers were attentive to detail.
The only disappointment was the casual dress code. Many were dressed in evening wear, others in jeans and casual shirts. Wish jackets would be required.
We have eaten here before and enjoyed ourselves, but this last experience was disappointing. The quality of the food was poor and service was slow and lacking. It is such a lovely setting, but the is way overpriced for the level of food and service.
The Dining Room at Omni Homestead has a beautiful, historic ambience. The service is top notch. The food is very good. However, I feel like the price far exceeds the actual quality. There are not many other options at Omni Homestead. It is the best option at The Omni Homestead.
A special evening you can’t find anywhere else in the region with live music.. The overall quality of the food and service could improve.
Always enjoy our meals and service there. Only wish the Omni had not changed the dress requirement for jackets and ties. It makes the meal even more delightful.
We were pampered and made to feel special from the moment we walked in!
Bell service lost our bags, so we missed our reservation time. The staff in the Main Dining Room was understanding and accommodating. We arrived a hour later than our reservation, and we were seated immediately. Our dining experience was fantastic. Great service from our waiter, Gil. The only disappointment was that the dress code was not enforced.
Waiter could barely speak English, messed up the drinks order twice, did not offer refill on coffee, and was the worst dining experience we've had there in over 30 years of visiting. Music trio was a bit loud and rugrats playing on the dance floor negated any ambiance. We'll go back to the Homestead, but dine elsewhere.
We enjoyed a great evening in the dining room! Our server Oscar provided expert service, was very engaging and added so much to our evening. Delicious food and live music made for a delightful holiday experience.
Great venue that wants to be family friendly but staff has old school approach - not fast to get high chair, slow to take drink order, disappear, bread after 20 minutes, missed a kid’s starter, plates sat waiting to be verified and served for 10 minutes, the band was great!
However the family buffet on fri night was awesome - perfect for kids!
And with a push to open table yet woody’s said they didn’t take reservations so we always thought it was full - even when we ate at 2pm saturday and there was 1 other table the app said no tables available. Sara was great server!
We had a great meal and super friendly service! The band was great as well and made our dinner both relaxed and memorable.
The staff make the experience so wonderful year after year.
Given the price point and venue, the dinner food should be far far better than it is. Generally, it’s pretty average.
The dining room is beautiful and the band was lovely. Staff was a bit arrogant. Food was good but nothing to rave over.
Lovely ambiance, excellent service and tasty vegetarian/vegan options. A very pleasant experience.
The Homestead offers rarified air these days, a place of gentility, kindness and generations of families that are so gracious without being pretentious. The Dining Room is equally gracious, but oh so comfortable and approachable. It was just lovely.
Wonderful atmosphere and exceptional service. There is something magical about this place; especially during the holidays!
Great!!! Always a pleasure. Don’t have the staff they once did but they try hard to please. Not so good if you are in a rush but if you are looking for a good dining experience, this place is great.
Family thanksgiving dinner
Wonderful ambience, service started strong but after a large table arrived in our section our server paid significantly less attention to us resulting in dirty dishes being ignored and an incredibly long wait for dessert. Food was good but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is really what sells the place.
Imagine an aging dowager valiantly trying to remain relevant and popular in the early 21 century. There surely was a time when the massive dining room with its crystal chandeliers was packed with hotel guests. Not so today. We had reservations for 6pm. Two other tables in that massive space were occupied. The food and wine were certainly overpriced. My wife's dinner was underooked and tateless. Luckily she could share my steak which was quite good. No problem with noise in this cavern. Chose the Jefferson instead where the entire dining experience is much superior and also less expensive.
It could not have been more perfect! However, it was a very special date for me & my husband of 26 years. We have struggled to stay married for the past 6 years & chose to fight for it. God has recently healed & restored our relationship & my husband asked me to marry him again in the dining room, new ring & all! I said “yes”, of course! That will always be the happiest day of our lives!! Our waiter, Ahmed was absolutely wonderful!
Love the throw back dining room. MAJOR PROPS to the well trained staff. They are attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Music and dancing are a plus. The food is very good, not great. The price did not fit the quality. Since dining is a comprehensive experience, I still give this dining room 4 stars.
Dined in a lovely, classical ballroom highlighted with excellent service. Our meals were interesting and prepared perfectly. Not for the value conscious diner, however, as prices were somewhat excessive. Quiet and romantic with talented pianist accents.
It was a great experience. Enjoyed the live music and dancing. Food was superb.
Wonderful staff, great music, and amazing dinner. A memorable and meaningful experience for my wife and I.
Above expectations in both food and service. Would highly recommend the Dining Room to anyone who appreciates what fine dining should be
It is lovely but very pricey. I guess it is about the experience.
The food was good -especially the gold themed dessert and even the vegan entrees-and there was live music and dancing. My only complaint was the disappointing wine list, which is somewhat more boring than a fast casual chain’s choices.
The rich décor of the room matched the jazz in the backround and the flavorful food
Honest opinion I wish we would’ve eaten at the Jefferson both nights. Live music was fantastic but the food was not very good for the price. There were 6 birthdays and they played music for each which was nice.
