Great place before a show or date. Food is great and drinks are amazing. I love the octopus dish!
Had a quick dinner here before the theater and found the menu somewhat lacking in options. The actual food options barely filled a page of the menu so not a place for picky eaters (which I am not). But the tacos I had were pretty good, nothing to write home about. The cocktail menu is a standout, but the service was top notch! Our waiter Andrew was very attentive and helpful for my friend who needed gluten-free options (because he suffers from Celiac disease, not because he's a trendy idiot).
Very pleasant and friendly staff. Table service was impeccable. The food was prepared to perfection and the house made non alcoholic beverages were fantastic!
The chicken taco appetizer and the fish and chips were great. The burger was incredible!
I peeked at the menu before my girlfriends and I came to the restaurant for brunch before the play. I was a little apprehensive because of the combination of foods; there seemed to be one spice or food ingredient, I wasn't thrilled with in every dish. I ordered an omelette and I was thrilled with it. It was absolutely delicious and the potatoes were perfect! My friends all loved their meals too. Actually, every dish that passed our table looked enticing and delicious.
Our waitress was a delight and helpful in explaining what things were as far as sauces and types of breads.
Wonderful dinner! Our waiter was so friendly and really provided a great experience.
We went to The Dearborn before going to a play. It was St. Patrick's Day. The restaurant was very crowded but we still had great service from our server, Joachim. I had the special salad which was delicious. The ruben was pretty salty, but I don't think it is a normal menu item. We would definitely return.
Ask for Matt. He gave great service!
Went there for brunch and the food was fantastic. Even more impressive was our server, who knew the menu inside and out and was super friendly. The vibe is very cool, also. Great live music on weekends for brunch.
Birthday dinner that exceeded every and all expectations.
Absolutely incredible service, food and cocktails, and overall experience. I’d choose it again any day. Highly recommend.
We celebrated our anniversary at the Dearborn. We were immediately feeling special from the moment we sat down. Our server, Joshua was awesome. He was friendly and very informative. We also had some good laughs with him.
We were greeted by the manager, Charlie and owner, Amy to wish us a happy anniversary. They made us feel like family!
After our delicious meal we were treated to a champagne toast and dessert on the house! We also got a hand written anniversary card.
This place is amazing and I will return many times. Thanks to the staff for making our day special!
One of the best "fish & chips" in the city - big chunks of fish and breading was light. Service was great and attentive to our celebration - even the General Manager was out and about talking with patrons.
Customer service is always THE BEST.
they always know how to do surprise smoothly.
They always are nice to us and make some jokes, which makes our stay AMAZING. They kill it every time !!!
We’re visiting Chicago and staying in the Loop. It was a busy place, but our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Cocktails were fun and delicious. The food from the starters through desert was well prepared with great flavor.
Great time and great food.
The food was delicious (a bit overpriced though, but I guess that is standard for most places in the Loop. $10 for a side of Brussel sprouts!), especially the gnocchi and octopus. Cocktails were great too! Our server Rodney was fantastic and has a great personality. I did feel as though we were being rushed by the bussers. On several occasions they tried to take our plates even though there was still food on the table.
Picked this for my first visit to Chicago. The wait staff was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Even bus boys were great. It was a close walk from the hotel and near shops for stroll afterwards. Would definitely recommend.
Came her for lunch with a friend. Food and ambiance was good. Waiter was friendly and explained the specials very thoroughly; service was good too. Restaurant hostess could be a little friendlier. Did not even smile or say thank you on the way out.
Great place to have a family brunch with excellent food and wonderful service
Went for Sunday brunch. Wonderful food and great service. Love the 3 piece band you have playing- gives a nice ambience.
Pretty focused menu, but what is on the menu is top-notch! Service was good and the recommendations were spot-on.
The food & our server was amazing! We'll definitely be back again!
I’ve never had a bad experience here. Great food, service, and drinks.
Went for brunch on a Saturday before the theater. Vegetable quiche was excellent. Flaky crust. Large portion. Farm salad very fresh and tasty. Attentive service.
Originally we were seated at an awkward table right by the entrance to the kitchen; we asked to be moved and were accommodated. The server was prompt but stilted; his interaction overly formal. Food was OK but pricey
Beautiful restaurant with interesting, fun seating and nooks which are classy and fun. Service perfect, food very tasty. I wish it were closer to my home, I would be a regular. Some of the booths in the back are very private and comfortable. The streetside window booths make for interesting people watching. Highly recommend.
Good food. Only exception being the Irish singing was very annoying.
I had the Salmon Bouillabaisse - wonderful brothy seafood dish - not too heavy, but a full meal. The oysters we're great too.
We had a great time. Food and drinks were great!
One of my favorite places for business lunch or drinks after work. Typically a great experience as their food and service are top notch. That said, my most recent visit was spoiled by a snooty and inflexible hostess. I could do without the eye rolls when requesting a table away from the bathrooms especially when arriving before the lunch rush and with plenty of tables for two still available. Totally unnecessary and unprofessional.
Great place for a date! Food was amazing, and our waitress was awesome!
We love the Dearborn for Sunday Brunch. I recommend the Chanterelle Omelette, Corned beef hash, and Pepper and Eggs.
We asked for a booth and they denied us, they told us a $20 minute wait but they had PLENTY other booths open on the other side. The menu is small. Not enough options. Although the server was a great, ambiance was ok, we wont be back here.
We like this place, as this was our third visit there but a few thoughts: the new menu seemed to reflect an effort to try unusual and surprising pairings within the same dish, which resulted, as least for us, with nothing that sounded very good, so we opted for the bison burger, which was great and fish and chips, simple but good. Although the place was not particularly crowded, it took forever for the food to arrive, for no good reason. Don't know what is going on in their kitchen or why the waitstaff didn't provide some explanation, but we finally had to almost beg for our meal to come out, and it was irritating and almost had us late for our theatre engagement even though we got to the restaurant 2 hours before curtain, and they were aware we were attending a show.
I very much enjoyed my meal here. The Brussels sprouts were probably the best I’ve ever eaten. The bison burger was good but the meat could’ve used some seasoning. The pineapple upside down sticky cake was very very good!! The wait staff was wonderful and our drinks were never empty!
Food was beautiful and delicious!! One of the best restaurants in the area. Decor was world-class, felt like a modern super club, but very trendy and architecturally stunning. Atmosphere felt very classy, yet very approachable for all, especially avid theatre goers, folks on a date, or a shopping trip. The service and management were impeccable especially the general manager, Greg who was very attentive and spent time greeting customers and ensuring we were all having a wonderful experience. Perfect brunch; every bite was delicious! The 90’s music playlist in the background was a lovely touch and helped fill the space with nostalgia. It really felt like one of the best and most authentic Chicago experiences. It was a perfect stop before the theatre.
The service was outstanding. From the moment I walked in the door, the staff was attentive and helpful without being overly solicitous. The manager stopped by to chat. The food came promptly, and it was delicious. I had homemade gnocchi with octopus and sausage in a mildly spicy tomato cream sauce. I’d go back any time.
I absolutely adore the evening ambiance of this venue. Our server, Andrew, demonstrates a strong command of the menu, chef's specials and drink recommendations. I have had a positive experience each time I have dined at the restaurant.
