Exceeded my expectations. Food was amazing. Waiter was great. I have several food allergies and The Dearborn has a protocol to insure no cross contamination. They found a creative way to hang the clear acrylic dividers, so I felt safe too.
We loved our dinning and menu choices. Service was superior - friendly and attentive staff with good management oversight . And our server was excellent - deserves all five stars !
Pizza, Fish and Chips, Curry Chicken Sandwich and the Wings were all great!
Had a great time here for brunch last week. All the food looked and smelled great. Had a great salad and yummy fish tacos -- big portion. wish I could have more slaw.
It’s was a great place our waistress Lynne was amazing she was just a wonderful human to be around. God bless her she is great she made me want to come back the next day. But most def will be coming back again soon!
Read good reviews online and was in town for the weekend, found a table (during la la palooza) and service was great! Sat outside without complaint despite many car honks and blaring motorcycle music. Not the restaurant’s fault besides I like to sit outside to enjoy the weather. The fried chicken is amazing and my fish n chips (you know the ones that beat Bobby Flay) were out of this world!! Best I’ve ever had. My SO got a pizza and was pleased. We topped it off with an ice cream sandwich for dessert. All around great meal.
Their pizza has turned me from a deep-dish pizza fan to a fan of their wonderful crispy crust, perfectly seasoned tomato sauce, and kale and mushroom pizza. And I never miss trying their market salad whenever I dine here. This is a place that's not to be missed. Enjoyment ensues!
Excellent brunch venue. Oysters, brunch pizza, salads and monkey bread. Service was outstanding. Still full!!!
I love The Dearborn. Food is fantastic and always the best service. Highly recommend it!
Wonderful variety of STARTERS. We ordered 4 , a salad, truffle fries and the fish & chips. Everything was delicious and more than ample for four of us. Our server was excellent.
The Dearborn offers a great atmosphere and an eclectic menu that is fairly priced and delicious. The specialty drinks are also quite good. You could eat here once a week and not get bored.
Fantastic lunch spot in a great location in the central Loop. Service was quick and attentive, and the entrees were well-prepared. Will be back again.
The Dearborn is my go to restaurant - business lunch, happy hour, dinner. This is also my top recommendation when asked about dining. Here are a few reasons why: exceptional food, gracious and attentive service, consistent attention to detail. Amy and Cloddaugh Lawless (owners) have really instilled a fabulous service culture. They and the entire Dearborn team work hard to pull out all the stops and haven't missed a beat since re-opening despite a number of pandemic challenges. A ton of hard work and love of community.
Our server disappeared for a while but she was very friendly. The food tasted good but one of our dishes was so spicy we couldn't eat much of it. Overall it was a great experience and we would go back.
I went to The Dearborn with a few friends on a post-wedding Sunday for a late brunch. The service was well-paced, the drinks were well-executed, and the food was thoughtful and precise. The band was playing energetic jazz with a fantastic lead singer. I’d recommend The Dearborn to anyone looking for a great start to a fun Sunday.
Went for brunch food was okay, and a little pricey. The service was exceptional , There was live music and it was to loud. I would give this another try.
Great food and staff was so helpful.
We stopped at the Dearborn for brunch on a Sunday and were able to snag a res on the way before it became too busy.
Beignets were amazing and much larger than expected. Everything else was suitably delicious. The chipotle-yogurt sauce over the eggs in the Chorizo the chorizo wasn't my favorite, but perfectly acceptable. My wife's All American Breakfast was standard fare and she enjoyed it.
Their house-made Bloody Mary mix had an interesting tang which I think was olive juice, but didn't deviate so far from the norm that it wasn't a Bloody Mary anymore. My wife was jazzed to get decent loose leaf tea in a press and liked it. The coffee was not great, but I'm a snob so I usually let that kind of thing pass :)
Service was excellent — I was so exhausted I've forgotten our waiter's name but he was very attentive and seemed able to appear whenever we needed him and then disappear when not. He and the rest of the staff didn't hover or rush us in any way, but were always ready to help.
Portions are large. Bring an appetite if you plan on getting anything more than just an entree. We will be back.
The food was amazing. Our server was wonderful and gave wonderful food and drink recommendations! Very accommodating when the storming started and we needed to wait out the rain an extra 45 minutes. They didn't rush us from our table.
Loved their Miche!! Egg & Avocado BLT was amazing !!
Fabulous brunch - excellent food and service
The menu regarding the trout was misleading as there is no mention of dairy or sour cream w the dish. Who puts cream on fish? And the service was ok! The waitress was overly attentive, we had just sat down and she asked for our drink order when we did not have an opportunity to review the menu. More importantly, the wait staff are eager to remove your plates and utensils when you just placed your fork down whilst everyone is still eating. I think that is a lack of training and etiquette.
A plate should not be removed from a guest when the other guests have their plates full. Overall experience was meh.
Everyone was so nice! The fish n chips were delicious and we extra loved the crispy fries and coleslaw. We were too full for dessert but got beignets to go and it was a sound move. Melissa our server was most excellent. See you next time Dearborn!
Average food, less than stellar service, noisy-go for the bar, skip the restaurant.
Absolutely wonderful experience and food. The daily Manhattan setup is amazing.
We had lunch on the patio, the noise level was what you would expect in the city during rush hour. The food excellent. The waitstaff was outstanding. We definitely will lunch there again.
Outside was great! Service always excellent and food was fresh and tasty
Incredibly overpriced food. We ordered ceviche and a burger. The fries that came with the burger were overcooked and hard. I was not impressed by ceviche at all.
The only good thing about this place was the Page Me! cocktail that I ordered - it tasted pretty good.
Impeccable service from host stand to table to management. Thank you.
Amazing experience, great place and food - 100% recommended
That this place averages 4.7* makes me question the reliability of open table reviews. Meh. The menu sounded much better than it was and the service was rather indifferent.
Our experience was great from the beginning. Our server, Lynn, was extremely attentive and very friendly. We struck up a conversation with her immediately. She did a great job of recommending some specialties on the brunch menu. My date had the fish and chips, and I had the chicken tinga tostadas. Both entrées were delicious. The atmosphere in The Dearborn is very laid-back yet elegant, and the live music coming from the bar only enhance the experience.Suffice it to say that The Dearborn will be on our to do list the next time we visit the city.
Ginger beer with lime/lemon went well with the fish and chips and had a good kick.
Perfect spot, great vibe, awesome service, and the portions were very generous.
The Dearborn is a casual restaurant that seems best for a quick dinner before going to the theater. Food choices are very limited. Will be great when the theaters are open again.
This place never disappoints. The staff delightful and attentive and you have to save room for dessert.
Delicious brunch in a very pretty place!
I can't say enough great things about The Dearborn. It was my family's first time and as I had my parents in town for my dad's birthday, I was hoping to have brunch at a special place in the Loop. We were blown away by the exceptional service from beginning to the end. We ordered the Chef's Omelette, Shrimp & Grits, and Beignets and they even ended our meal with a special treat with a candle to celebrate my dad's birthday. I will definitely coming back again for other special occasions and would highly recommend!
Food was just ok in general in our opinion. We probably wouldn't go again.
