Was okay, server must have been new. We order the bottomless, which is supposed to be 2 hours but they tried to give us our check after an hour, while we didn’t even get one of our plates. After talking to the manager, having to pull teeth by the way, she took off the meal and gave us one last pitcher of mimosa. Also annoying because it says we have guaranteed 1:45 mins, since we were a group of 7+, which was not the case.
Food and service are great. Music is so loud it’s almost impossible to have a conversation with anyone.
Ordered the surf & turf special. That was the best skirt steak I have ever had. The sangria will have you feeling amazing
I enjoyed my meal and the music . Being that the place is popular reservations were tough to get but worth the wait . Parking in the area is limited
Food was amazing along with the champagne punch. Definitely worth brunching here !
Love the Churrasco Cubano! The guacamole is good but could be a little less salty. Great cocktails!
We did outdoor dining (although the inside was pretty much empty) and it was great! We were seated right on Main Street in Patchogue. Recommend!
Food was nasty they switched my meal and I still didn't like the alternative but to each is own I payed and tipped well but will not be back !
Great pick! Nice location, tasty food/drinks, great service, beautiful decor!
Great experience with my friend
Went on Mother’s Day weekend, the food was very good and I love all the music they play.
The food was good. The service was a bit poor. I ordered something but I didn’t get it in the time, it was late. The drinks were good and the ambiance was nice I would go again. It’s a great place for a simple date spot.
It was vibrant and festive along with the food was delicious. Our server Emily was on point and made it a wonderful experience! Look forward to going back often.
Waited over an hr for my table it was reserved for 815. Were not seated till almost 930
Great food and service. The only thing was that there was a 90 min limit and we only found out when we got there.
We were there to celebrate my Mother-In-Law’s Birthday!! Everything was great! The waitress was really friendly and very accommodating to our needs! She made us feel welcome and was very positive and energetic! We were a group of 9 and we were sat fairly quickly because I had made a reservation! They had a new bartender behind the bar, who made a few mistakes with our drinks and took a bit long to get our drinks to the table, but we were in no rush. We put in our dinner order and ordered more drinks as we waited for the appetizers and then eventually our entrees. As we’re finishing up our dinner and had just gotten another round of drinks, the female hostess or manager comes up to us and tells us “We’re going to need this table in 5 minutes! There is an hour and a half limit” and doesn’t wait for an acknowledgement from us at all. She just walks away. Now mind you, we hadn’t finished our dinner yet, and we were celebrating a birthday, so desert was a must. It threw off the whole vibe of the night and ruined the rushed desert they did when they eventually sent over the desert for my Mother-In-Law and sang her happy birthday. Unfortunately, we were not inclined to order coffee or any other desert since we were so rudely told that we needed to leave. Now, I understand that they may need a table for a second seating and that things have been tough for restaurants this year with Covid-19, but an hour and a half limit for a group of NINE who is actually spending money and ordering third and fourth round of drinks with possible desert drinks and desert to follow? I get it, you need to turnaround a table, but it could’ve been said in a much nicer way. You could’ve told us at the beginning, as were were being seated that we had a time limit, so maybe we’d not order as many rounds or have a round of FULL beer on the table as you tell us we have 5 minutes to leave. Then maybe we would’ve decided to order differently or eat somewhere else all together! It ruined the night.
An absolutely wonderful time! My partner and I celebrated our 21st anniversary and this so far, has been the BEST anniversary meal to date. The restaurant is pristine and the wait staff/servers were exceptional. The manger made sure that all the patrons were "happy" with their service. The food was fresh, flavorful, and VERY satisfying. I ordered the ox tails in a tomato broth with traditional Cuban rice while my partner ordered the vegetarian paella. Great place - other than the "loudness" - this place is definitely worth it!!!
Was great! Our server Quinn was the best! He catered to our every need!!!! The music was energetic and live . I would 110% recommend Quinn and an actual reservation. Can get busy on Saturday nights!
Waited 30 minutes to be seated. Waitress rush us through dinner, not giving us time for dessert! DJ/singer was very good!
Ordered brunch meals. Poached eggs were over cooked. Fried egg was under cooked food was served very sloppy . Service was good not very tentative but very pleasant. We didn’t want to wait for the food to be recooked so we just ate it. Won’t recommend for brunch.
We were early in the evening. Nice and calm. Must be great when it's cranking!
The food was not good , but the drinks and service was amazing
Food was delicious; the place is really nice. The only complaint was that we ordered one appetizer that never make to the table. But overall experience was great.
We been here before and everything on point! Decide to come here for my birthday , what a mistake ! specials were never mentioned , we ordered appetizers that was never brought to the tables , they showed up with out dinners , at the point we kept them because didn’t want it to be sitting around , while appetizers were made. Server was never apologetic about her mistake or try make it better ! If she was honest and apologize we wouldn’t be upset, things happens. She neglected our table after that , we ordered more drinks after we finished our dinner , she came over to see how the drinks were , but saw out plates pile on top each other that we were finished and didn’t cleared it ! At the point I didn’t even want dessert ! Just wanted to leave , Kim the manager came over , she was very understanding , will be back , the food was good , but Emily will be our server next time or someone who’s trained properly !
From the initial interaction with the hostess to our server to the dinner, everything just kept going downhill. We asked to sit at a different table than the hostess sat us at ( in am empty room) and she grunted, rolled her eyes and said fine! The server was non-existent, never checked on our food, got the order wrong and was unapologetic. 2 of the 6 people at our table never got the meal they ordered. Food was cold. Dessert brought out before dinner plates were even cleared off table. Dont waste your time or money. No concession was offered.
The place was very confortable and the food was delicious.
Better that I was expecting.
The concept is awesome. We went on a Monday eve because it is very hard to get reservations on a weekend. No entertainment. Music was eh! Food was dry. Staff is very friendly. Wasn't the experience I expected.
We had an 8:30 reservation and waited almost an hour to get seated because they overbooked. They even admitted that they overbooked to us. They left us having to wait outside in the 20° weather because we took an uber and didn’t have a car to wait in. The manager was also extremely rude to us in telling us we could not wait in the vestibule area- when we said we didnt have a car to wait in and that its freezing out his response was “thats not what i asked. What i said is that you have to wait outside.” There’s absolutely no reason to treat your customers that way. At this point we tried calling other restaurants in the area to see if they had availability but it was a Saturday night and everything was booked. We chose the Cuban originally to celebrate our friends birthday, so we decided to continue to wait as opposed to going home and not celebrating her.
I am still giving The Cuban a four star rating, however, and it is solely due to the service we received from our waiter. I wish i knew his name but he was such a sweetheart! My boyfriend and I have also been served by him one other time in the past and he was excellent that time as well, so we were happy to have been sat in his section again. I believe I overheard the hostess saying we were at table 51, hopefully that will help in giving him credit. The hostess was very sweet as well and was as helpful as possible knowing the restaurant had been over booked.
The food was mostly all delicious- especially the fresh guacamole. We loved it. The drinks tasted amazing as well. The only thing i didnt love was that my entree was a little lacking in flavor. I ordered the Puchuga de pollo a la plancha ayega (lemon herb grilled chicken breast) and the chicken was not lemon flavored whatsoever. It was literally just plain grilled chicken breast with no herbs or spices at all. The mixed greens were good though and i liked the dressing they used on them.
Overall, we enjoyed the cuban. The manager is a complete jerk.
Even with reservations, my friend and I waited a half hour for our table. The food was delicious though.
To start there were a group of 10 teenagers waiting in the foyer area w/ no reservation but we had to wait outside in the freezing cold w/ a reservation bc there were too many people. From there it was just poor service from beginning to end. Our waiter was obviously new & announced that he doesn’t fully know the menu yet & wasn’t familiar w/ the cuisine. So he couldn’t help w/ any questions we had. Then our food wasn’t timed properly so as we’re finishing our apps our entrees arrive so not only did we not get a break but no one cleared the table so between the empty dishes, empty glasses & full plates we were completely out of space. We had to flag down our waiter way too many times to get anything & the bus boys were only paying attention to the other wait staff’s tables. The food was decent. Nothing I would rave about but it was tasty. Overall, I would never dine here again but I would go back to drink & dance when that time comes.
I WAS QUITE TAKEN BACK BY THE CROWD THAT WAS THERE THE EVENING I WENT. I THOUGHT PERHAPS DUE TO COVID THERE WOULD BE LESS CROWDING. ALSO, WE LOST OUR RESERVATION AT 7 PM BECAUSE WE HAD TO LOOK FOR PARKING IN THE AREA DUE TO THE BUSY CROWD IN THE AREA. HAD TO WAIT 45 MINUTES WHICH WAS NOT SO GREAT. ALSO, I HAD ASKED THE HOSTESS THAT SEATED TO LET OUR WAITER KNOW THAT IT WAS MY SISTER'S BIRTHDAY AND THAT WAS NOT DONE. I WAITED THINKING IT MIGHT HAPPEN WHEN OUR MEAL WAS FINISHED BUT NO ONE CAME OVER TO SING HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO HER. THE PORTIONS WERE SMALLER THAN I EXPECTED FOR THE PRICE THAT I PAID. IF SOMEONE WERE TO ASK ME ABOUT THE RESTRAUNT I WOULD ADVISE THEM ABOUT THE THINGS THAT OCURRED, BUT TELL THEM IT WAS AN OK EXPERIENCE. THE FOOD WAS GOOD BUT WOW I ONLY RECEIVED TWO PLATANO MADUROS ON MY PLATE?! BUT I WOULD NOT GO ON MY FACEBOOK RAVING ABOUT YOUR RESTAURANT.
The place is so exotic and different you feel like you are on vacation even though you around the Conner from your job. The food is really good, specially the octopus and the paella and please do not forget to try the plantain with chicken, shrimp and ropa vieja just delightful. On the cocktail part make sure you ask for a mojito but if you are like me that do not like it too sweet I suggest that instead of sour mix you ask them for club soda it will do the trick.
Delicious food and quick service!
Definitely one of my favorite places.
Great drinks! Will definitely come again the service could have been more consistent but overall not bad at all!
The drinks were not good at all . And the food was nothing great !
Food was good. Free Guacamole was tasty. Ambiance was great!
Service was good but were told our time was up after 1.5 hr, they did warn us when we were seated about the 1.5 time limit at the table. Wished we were not hurried to leave. Perhaps going at a less crowded time would be better.
Don’t bother making a reservation I waited 25 minutes past my reserved time and then waiters 15 minutes for a drink order . Food and music are amazing service sucks
My husband and I had an amazing dinner and everyone there were so pleasant. And the atmosphere was beautiful.!! Love it we will be back and I will let people know about our experience.
Nice place with great environment, the staff was friendly and Freddy was awesome!! If your looking something different and have great time try the Cuban
