Always love Comus Inn! Food is reliability delicious. Service is good but today they had a bike fund raiser and tables outside. We lost our server midway through bc she was helping the outside tables. Someone who I think was prob the mgr stepped in to help but it was noticeable. Please hire more people. Crab toast was awesome as was the duffle pancakes, BLTA, smash burger and eggs Benedict.

For starters, I’ve eaten here before and the food was and still is excellent. My reason for the poor review this time around is strictly due to the wait staff being unprepared for how busy they would be. To begin, my partner and I were seated on time for our 7:15 PM reservation but the hostess did not carry menus to the table with us. Then after ~25 minutes of no one coming by, I went back to the hostess station to ask for menus. After about five minutes, our waitress brought a bottle of water to the table without glasses, so she returned moments later with pint glasses explaining they were out of the regular ones. Everything after our waitress arrived was timed with their usual pacing. We received our drinks in about ten minutes and food twenty minutes after. The food is worth coming back for. Other experiential things to note for this night is that they left the front door open. That led to the dining area to be uncomfortably chilly. The one bartender was so slammed they didn’t have time to mix the cocktails with focus, so the proportions were off. Going back to them being out of glasses, there were multiple empty tables within sight over the duration of our meal that had regular glasses. The whole dinner felt like a test of their customers’ patience.

I requested a dining room seating not high top seating. We were seated at a high top table closest to the door which they kept wide open. It was extremely windy and in the low 60’s so it was windy and cold where she seated us. I asked if we could be moved or could she close the front door. She simply said, “It’s my first day”, and walked away. We sat there and debated whether to stay or leave. There were other tables open away from the front door. We decided to leave so we were never served. Poor customer service on that day.

The atmosphere is...energetic...for an old inn. You'd expect it to be quiet, charming, relaxed...but it is loud and a little frenzied. We enjoyed dinner--the food is pretty good and food pricing is generally fair--but drinks are expensive; bartender was great. They clearly needed more staff as service was slow, although staff were totally pleasant and everyone was hustling hard. Would definitely return but hopefully this was just a one off night as it seemed a little chaotic--hoping next time we visit it won't be.

We were in time to our reservation and we had to wait 15 minutes and we seated on a high top table by the bar with many tables open the hosted response was those are for other reservations, and we had what? A 3:30 pm reservation?? Table was seated at 5 as we were leaving the dining room. A cocktail was ordered and set on the bar for 15 min old fashion ice was all melted. Serves was good she just was covering a lot of space. Not the same place but, beautiful setting

Food was good, though more toward bar fare than fine dining. Wine selection very limited. Service was friendly and attentive, though somewhat in-experienced. View is very pleasant, though overall ambiance a bit cool.

We loved everything...the bar was great, our view of the landscape and sky were great from our table. All the wait staff + management were very friendly. Will definitely go back again. The only thing I would suggest is that the wait staff check in a little more often with the patrons. Really a great experience overall!
