Made a reservation for Mother’s Day. Even with having a reservation, a table was not reserved. It was open seating for everyone to find their own table. We ordered food at the counter and waited an hour and a half before they told us that our food had not started and it would be at least 30 if we chose to stay. Almost the entire outdoor seating area had customers leave without ever getting their food. A place that has an open self seating concept does not work with reservations.
The service was very slow
Made a reservation for Mother’s Day. Waited in line for 40 minutes to order...an hour later the food and appetizers arrive at same time. It was an awful experience with our family of 5 experienced on Mother’s Day! I think this is the nail in the coffin at The Commons. Sorry!
Experience wasn't the best considering that most restaurants have had a year to accommodate for developing/acquiring an app to order food at your table. Mother's Day was bad since they ran out of their brunch specials plus we had to wait in a long line to order food... so much for keeping social distance.
Took my boys for Mother’s Day brunch. We sat outside, which was warm and the noise level was low. Food was quick and tasted great. As we left we were given complementary cookies to take home. They were so delicious! We will be back again!
Amazing food, amazing place, and impeccable service.
Always a pleasure to dine at The Commons. I have not been disappointed ever! Best embassador's daughter and margarita!
Our order was wrong and part of it was forgotten. Food was subpar and service was poor.
I understand this was the back to real life after Covid but I waited over 10 min for drip coffee, the food order came out wrong, and it was just chaotic in there
This was our first time dining out since the beginning of the pandemic and we were very pleased. All of the staff were wearing masks, disposable napkins and menus, and adequate spacing between tables (inside and out). LOTS of outdoor seating with nice atmosphere. Only complaint was the other customers that weren't following the posted signs to wear masks when not seated at their tables, but the signs are clear and posted throughout the restaurant, just can't win with some people... 10/10 will be going back.
I think they are still trying to figure out the new normal. Service was very slow. They brought food but no silverware or napkins. No refills on drinks. We were outside and rarely saw a service person at all.
Food was fine, did have to wait longer than we expected but figure it was working out the kinks and rules for reopening. Only problem was the food was a bit spicy for 2 of us.
I expected the dinner menu to be much larger and more interesting. More of a lunch place, IMO
Not much to recommend The Commons other than location on the wine- tasting circuit in Woodinville. Breakfast was a mix of IHOP-level, perfunctory cooking: French toast right out of Sysco freezer and a ham and egg sandwich that was bland and uninteresting. Probably not a bad place to have a cup of coffee and network with coworkers, but for food, there just has to be better options.
Consistency is key! My parents and I come here every time they're in town. They liked it so much they came back for breakfast the next day. Thanks for always being excellent! To date, this might be the only restaurant I'll happily pay the 20% service charge for gratuity. The staff earns it every time.
The servers do not know the food well and it feels like diner service. If your gonna charge that much for tacos then the service should match up. Food was average at best. Breakfast is a safer bet. Y’all need improvement.
Very pleasant. A nice casual place. Service great. I approve of the included service charge. Pork tacos are delicious!
Really great experience for brunch/lunch. Excellent food, wide selection, large portions, attentive service. Definitely a good option in Woodinville.
This was a great experience! Service and food was amazing!!!
Great brunch, service was a little slow but it was Sunday & very busy.
Good food and great vegetarian options
Our server was not too friendly and seemed to matter of fact. Messed order but replaced it
Mostly servers are super friendly and great on getting orders right and in a timely fashion
This certainly was not what I expected. The space was cold, uncomfortable and loud (even though the restaurant was less than 1/2 full). Both of our entrees were very salty, and were not served hot. The overall meal was definitely not worth $150.
Casual environment with excellent food. Took teenage kids and everyone very pleased with dinner and dessert. Milkshakes got two thumbs up from kids. We eat at Purple with kids too, but Commons more casual with same quality food. Highly recommend!
A group of friends meeting to celebrate a birthday. We always have a wonderful experience at The Commons. It’s our favorite place to meet up for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Crab dip did not taste very crabby for the price, and would have been better with bread than potato chips. Fish and chips were very good. Salad was good but pricey. Banana Bread pudding tasted good but was just two slices of banana bread--not what you would expect for "pudding." Service was very slow, which was surprising because it was not very busy.
We waited for 25 minutes for anyone to come to our table for service to no avail and then left.
The good news is that our 3 year old threw a tantrum on the way out because he was hungry.
Have always loved the Commons but will not be planning to go back.
Service mediocre at best. Food prepared not to order. Overall highly overrated
Kids dinner was dry and over cooked, my food was okay but over priced for the amount received. Experience was nice but wouldn’t go back.
Great atmosphere, servers were polite and timely, and the food was very good! Tables were a little small but nothing to really complain about. Will be back!
Worst steak ever so chewy. Service ok. Service 20% included.
We really liked the food we ordered and the service we got. Everything was good.
The fried pickles were so salty they were inedible. The manager graciously accepted our feedback and the item was removed from our bill.
Always a favorite for consistently good food and service. If I only have one complaint is that the restaurant is exceptionally loud. There is "adds to the energy and vibe" kind of loud and then there is "can't hold a conversation" loud. They should invest in some sound deadening. Still, I won't remove a star for it. I love this place and the staff is always as great as the food.
Tables are so close together , so loud you can't hear yourself think, gratuity added to bill and food was not worth the price. I could make better at home.
We had a reservation for six people at 7:30 on a Saturday night, but we weren’t seated until almost 8:00, which was frustrating. The actual table service and food were excellent and our appetizers were comped, which was very much appreciated. I understand things happen, but what is the point of a reservation if you have to wait that long?
Great service and food. We enjoyed our dinner date out and can’t wait to come back
Love going to the Commons. It's my new spot. Every experience has been great.
Good was way too expensive and wasn’t even good. $10 for an order of French toast on kids menu. Bill came also with 20% gratuity already included and there was only 3 of us . Service was good and we would have tipped that much anyway as we don’thold the wait staff responsible for bad food, but what if service was horrible? Just visiting my daughter, but when I visit again, will not go there.
Love this place. My favorite is the brunch time.
Our server was amazing and he didn't rush us out. It was our first time and we had a great experience.
