First time for us. Went with friends. Very pleasantly surprised. The swordfish steak was the best I have ever had. We will be back.

We arrived on a Sat night around 7pm. We had a reservationand got seated right away. The restaurant was not crowded. We sat at a table in the bar. There may have been 6 occupied tables.

During the evening it took 20 minutes to get a round of drinks (each time). We also asked a runner to have the server get us a round, and that never happened.

We asked the server for food recommendations, but he seemed unsure on what to recommend.

All in all, the food was good. Entree salads were a large portion as was the side caprese salad. We also had steaks and a sandwich order that we liked.

However, considering the service, don't know if we'll be back.

I'm heartsick this place closed. That location must be cursed. We went there often and always had a great meal and a great time. The hostess even remembered us each time we came in. The restaurant is gorgeous and the bar area with fireplace is so welcoming and comfortable. The upstairs for private parties is perfect for any event. I don't understand why restaurants can't make it here.

For my wife and I this was our third time back within a two month holiday period. One was our church group Christmas dinner for 12 people in a private dining room, the second time was a New Year's Eve dinner with another couple, and the third occasion was dinner with six family members. In all three occasions, the service and the food were outstanding and we liked the moderately quiet area where we were seated. The dessert menu had a nice selection and was to die for. We had a lot of fun interacting with the waiters and waitresses serving us. I would recommend dining at The Clubhouse to anyone who enjoys the experience of fine dining and having a good time.

Very nice restaurant, but super expensive! Great for a special occasion but not just go out to have dinner on Friday night. Explains why it was completely empty on a Friday night. There were only two other tables besides us.

Sorry, but not a good table for me.
Maybe I didn't ordered the right plates, but there was nothing special about my meal...on the contrary. Very average at best with a high price tag.

When we arrived there was only two other tables that were occupied in the entire restaurant. When the waiter came to the table we asked for two checks. He said fine and took our drink order. Two out of the three drinks came out wrong was the start. We ordered our meals and one came out wrong and our burgers (3) which we ordered medium were closer to well done. The buns were very dry and four times too big for the burger. The bus boy kept taking silverware and dishes away from the table in order to rush us. When the check came it wasn’t separate as we requested. Very disappointed in this restaurant! It will be quite awhile before I return here if ever.

We were happy to find this restaurant in Schaumburg. The space is vey nice and the food and the service were excellent. I had a chicken dish which was very flavorful and my wife had a salad which was also very good. We will be back.

We had a giftcard. That’s the reason we went. Not really impressed, though. Food was barely warm and fair. We might try the bar in the future, but that’s all....

The atmosphere and dining room(s) at The Clubhouse were very elegant. In the entrance is a lovely high water wall that forms the backdrop to a circular staircase to the upstairs area. The entrance to the main dining room greets you with the assortment of desserts on the menu for the night, which is always nice to see! Our meal itself was very good, and we ordered an array of items from across the menu. Nothing was absolutely spectacular, but everything was very good. There were a few small mistakes with the orders, hence the 4 stars. Otherwise, it was an overall lovely experience.

We had a 10:30 reservation and arrived 10 minutes early. The brunch was not set up and the food that was ready was cold. It was a huge disappointment that they were ready even though they opened at 10am. The carving stations were not open till 10:45. I have eaten at the Oakbrook location many times but Schaumburg was disappointing!!

Service was very poor. Our server brought us incorrect drinks, drinks we didn’t order, and was rude to our party. Took about 20 minutes minimum to get a drink, and the place was empty. And it was New Years Eve! No reason we shouldn’t have had great service. Will be going to the Oakbrook location from now on.

The place was empty. However, it took an hour and a half to get our food and we had to ask five times over a twenty minute period to get our drink order filled. The server seemed to be dazed and confused. The Clubhouse Schaumburg is a shadow of the Oakbrook location. Will not return.

We went for Christmas brunch which was a buffet. No drinks were included. Food was excellent but the brunch was definitely overpriced for the value. Also, for the price, the ambience at the restaurant could have been better - sort of plain looking. Staff was excellent; service was great. Food was top notch! Will return!

Second visit to this restaurant and again, blown away by the complete deal.
The food, service, ambience, etc. etc. was all excellent. The booths are comfortable and large in the main dining room. Jesus was our waiter, and he was phenomenal. It was Christmas Day for their brunch buffet and it was phenomenal.

The first time we'd ever gone out for Christmas, we decided to join their brunch and while the place is beautiful and I would definitely go there for lunch or dinner, we weren't impressed with the price for the brunch. The food was pretty good but we all agreed $50 per person was extreme and I thought took advantage of a Holiday in a negative way. Simply my opinion....

Restaurant is beautiful. Why isn’t it busier? The Lobster Bisque should have some lobster in it and a lump on top for accent. My salmon was good and cooked to perfection. My friends steak was wonderful and cooked just right. Kudos to the chef. Food is quite good but quite pricey making it a special occasions type, date night or event type of restaurant. Little things like the droopy, sad lookin poinsettia plant, cheesy silk flowers in the room divider box are not what should be seen in an upscale restaurant charging premium prices. Didn’t have a chance to check out the restrooms. Manager was very nice. Server was very nice. Most people wouldn’t notice but one with a keen sense of smell can tell he didn’t shower that day, like he just out of bed smell. But he looked nice and was very nice. I would go again but for a special occasion. Would be nice to see it busier.

Our experience at the Schaumburg Clubhouse was very nice, and perfect for our business group of 9 people. We had a nice quiet table away from the regular lunch crowd which allowed for nice conversation. The service was excellent including the manager stopping by to check in on us at the end of our lunch. The flaming artichoke dip was a big hit, and everyone enjoyed all of the various entrees they ordered. I had the salmon salad which was excellent. Overall a great experience, and I will definitely bring my team back here again!

Food was good. But the ambiance wasn't. Restaurant was completely empty at lunch time. Service was unusually slow - took 1hr 30mins for lunch. There were two servers and four tables total. Waitress was uninformed. The entire meal, all you felt was a draft from the front door. Freezing cold in the restaurant. The food was good, but there are plenty of better choices in the area. Restaurant felt dirty and cheaply put together. I wouldn't come back here. I wouldn't recommend it either.

The food was very good and their dessert selection is reason enough to show up! We all felt we had some of the best prepared Filet Mignons we have had in a long time. The calamari appetizer was also very good. The waitress was very attentive but did speak a little fast. Wine selection was very good. Our only quibble is that we ate on a Monday night and the restaurant was not very full. They wanted to seat us near the bar area where it would have been rather noisy. BUT the hostess was MOST accommodating and let us sit in the main dining room which was essentially not being used that night. With this attention to customer service and the terrific meal I can highly recommend The Clubhouse in Schaumburg.

Oh my gosh
Where do i start
First off, this location is a graveyard for restaurants
Ask Entourage or David Burke
Second I was hopeful because the Clubhouse in Oakbrook has done so well the past 20 years
Red flag - you walk into the huge bar on a Friday night at 6:00 pm - maybe 10’people in total in the bar
We get escorted to our table
Maybe 20% full- we are scared
Get seated-water girls proceeds to douse and soak myself and one other in our party with water she spills
No worries-this place is empty - they give us empty table next to ours -again we are soaked and no offer of restitution -
Our waiter obviously wants to be somewhere else
Throughout dinner seems indifferent and more interested in the large party he is serving in the back
Very average food
Now we understand why this place is empty
After dimmer he forgets my Baileys
I asked him to forget it and make sure it is not on the bill
I also suggest he pay more attention to detail as we feel we were not treated like good customers
He snipe at me and tells me his attention to detail is just fine - I respond if it was I would have Baileys
He raises his voice and tells me he can’t believer I’m talking to him like that -
I ask for the General Manager who had no idea how we had been treated at this dinner- GM was good enough to credit half the bill but we would have rather had a great birthday dinner experience which did not happen-
So let’s play taps for this place now-
No chance of making it
And too bad the Clubhouse in Oakbrook has its name associated with this travesty

We waited a long time for our dinner. They apologized and said they made the wrong dinner for my husband and I ordered my Prime rib medium rare and it was med-med well. Our waitress was not very informed on the menu, especially the Gluten free menu!! Had to check with the kitchen 5 times. Stick with the sandwiches and simple Salmon.
