The wine list was overpriced. They were out of the bottle we ordered. They did not offer to give us the recommended substitute at the same price. I thought we had a reservation for a table in the restaurant. We were seated in the sports bar. It was so loud our friends across the table we could literally not hear us even if we shouted. The food was good but not special. The entrees were grilled or pan fried and served with a sauce. None of the sauces were gluten free. The service was entertaining.

I made a reservation, however, the table they assigned had limitations and not all items from the menu were served here. My son ordered a blue crab cake and because this table was a mármol table this item is not possible. Next time….this is the explanation and solution. Not sure if this restaurant understands that customers can’t be treated like this.

Our plans changed at the last minute and we decided on a day trip to Annapolis. The Choptank was a very pleasant surprise in terms of the ambience, service, and food quality. I had the crab cake platter, cream of crab soup and the arugula salad and all were very good. I will definitely be adding this restaurant to my list of go to places.

I was treated for my birthday. The place is very nice and was quite busy. Our server was helpful with helping us understand the menu. I got the seafood coppilino. It was excellent. I also had the fried oysters. They were ok. I like mine fried crispy. My family got the fish and chips excellent and Cobb salad. This is a great place to go. Seafood was fresh. I will be going back again.

Favorite Annapolis restaurant!!!! Great food, great location, Right on Ego Alley !!! Service is always top notch!!!! Restaurant does get loud when it’s crowded but that’s about the only negative I can think of.

Made reservations over a month prior to celebrate 2 sons & a fiancé bdays… got there 5 min early & told would have to wait… waited over 30 min past reservation. Then got seated in upstairs bar, was soooooo noisy could not talk at all, waitress had on mask & couldn't understand her. Then the live music started!!! I asked to be moved downstairs which they graciously did, however was still very loud & live music piped in!!! Paid $490 for a meal for 4 & couldn’t talk!! I had hoped for a fancier quieter restaurant for a celebration dinner. Food was good, ambiance horrible for the price!

Food and service is outstanding but the acoustics in the downstairs dining room are so bad that you cannot hear the people at your own table. We will definitely be back for the great food and service, but ONLY when we can eat outside. The noise level inside when closed up is uncomfortable

Made reservation on-line without any issues. Ask for water/window view since had out of town guests and staff complied. Had one person in wheelchair and it was easy access. Food is pricy but excellent; good quality and they don’t scrimp on quantity. We all agreed the Crab Dip was best we ever had- lots of crab, not too creamy and well seasoned. Liked that they included celery and carrots with bread for dipping. Oysters and sauces were excellent. Good selection of fresh fish. Crab cakes mostly lump with little filler. Sides very fresh and well done. Service was a little lacking in that had to ask for drink refills and straws several times before getting. Can’t make it a regular dinner place but will definitely be back.

Service and atmosphere was excellent. We had a window table so could see the different boats come and go plus could see Annapolis transform from afternoon to nighttime. Waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. The pace of the food presentation went well. We had the honey old bay wings and Atlas salad to start. Both were great and would order again. My partner really wanted the wedge salad but they were out of it. For main meals, we had the Lobster avocado — it was exactly as described but something was missing and I’m not sure what so would not order again. Also, had the fish and chips which we would order again. Around us, the oysters were popular, Wagu meatball looked really tasty and the crab cakes seemed popular. Parking was easy but I think we were lucky. Would definitely try again.

Had a reservation for this restaurant in the early evening. Checked in with the host and because they had space at the bar, we decided to eat there. Unfortunately, the host kept trying to cancel my reservation even though we checked in and just decided to eat at the bar. Normally this not an issue but I suppose they were new to making reservations at the bar. The wine selection was ok but for a restaurant this expansive, there should have more wines available by the glass. We did get some oysters. Really good selection, however, they are expensive. Ordered the cioppino and the branzino. The cioppino was good and well stocked with fish, shrimp, mussels, and clams. The broth was not as good as some of the other cioppinos I have had but still very flavorful. The branzino was good and I ordered ponzu butter sauce which was so flavorful and really sent the flavor of the fish over the top. Overall, a good experience but you are there for the view in Annapolis and that is definitely the draw.

2nd visit. 1st was nice. Asked for and got a window this time. 1st floor was way too noisy and clientele were bothersome. Too bad they don’t have a dress code.Too pricey. Setting is really cool and much of the upstairs seating, on the window side, or outside would have been satisfactory.

Great place on the water but the food is just ok. Most of the restaurants in the area are about the same but this one for the location is top. But again the food is just ok. Don’t order the artichokes not good. Crab cake is about the best.

The food was nothing special and expensive. The steak was good but not great, the fish and chips had too much breading, the Tuna was quite good. Oysters were good, crab dip needed more bread and by the time they brought the additional bread the crab dip was cold, calamari were good but very small portion. Salads were good. Desserts were not memorable, and coffee was Lukewarm. Very LOUD.

Choptank's food isn't as good as it was. I love(d) the burger and the crab cake. Both have been mediocre lately - not hot, mouth-watering good anymore. The Caesar salad was NOT GOOD!

Great setting to watch the harbor and service. Perfect timing between courses. Salmon was prefect Ly pan seared! Definitely recommend and will return.

The ambience is terrific. We sat outside on the upper deck. The food was great. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth it. We specially enjoyed the calamari the fresh fish, the crabcake and she crab soup.

My expectations were that it would be a quiet evening on the town with my wife, but the place was very loud. Amanda, our server was exceptional. She wondered how I knew her name, but all of the staff made sure you knew their name and that, itself deserves rave reviews. They all were very welcoming of us. The food was just ok. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife some kinda fish I am not gonna even try to remember. Definitely would be revisiting Choptank. Oh and if you make reservations at a certain time, please give yourself time to find a parking spot.

Food was absolutely amazing! The crab cake and crab soup had tons of crab. I brought a friend from out of town here and she loved it as well! Service was a bit slow but the restaurant was packed.

The food and service was great. However, they had live music that was so loud that it ruined my visit. I spent the entire night screaming so my table could hear my conversation. It was also very cold as the hours were open. Overall, I will not visit again.

The happy hour could be more clear that it only is covered at the direct seats of the bar, not the free bar tables behind them that aren’t for the normal seating areas (no reservations needed). The server could be more attentive. The food was good and the cocktails I had were pretty good.

The location is fabulous - if the weather permits book a 2nd floor outdoor table overlooking the city dock. Waitstaff is excellent. Happy Hour was mediocre - no appetizers included and also limited wines and low-end sprits. Food was good but the fried oysters and fried calamari were EXCELLENT. High priced - definitely paying for the location
