I placed an order to be picked up Curbside, sending my husband to the restaurant at the appointed time of 7:05pm. At that time, none of the designated spots were available and the parking lot was so jammed there was no place to even stop to put hazards on. He parked across the street and walked in, went to the counter to pick up our order (it was now 7:25pm), and they said "Get in line," pointing to a line 50 people deep. He waited for 10 more minutes and with no movement, finally left. I called and spoke to the manager who said she could not give us a refund on the order we never received since we ordered it online, and that we would have to contact the company that runs the online ordering service. After some research and going on the website of said company, I discovered this is NOT true - in fact I found an article telling the restaurant how to refund a customer. I tried calling the manager back and was put on hold for (literally) 20 minutes, after which time I finally hung up. We are now forced to open a dispute on the charge with AMEX, who is great about honoring, but we shouldn't have to go to that trouble. (And I still have no dinner!!) Clearly, Cheesecake Factory needs to revisit their policies and practices for Curbside orders, limiting the amount of orders taken, as well as be aware of how to refund customers. This was such a headache that we will not return to this restaurant.
