Locally owned and operated for over thirty years, the Chart Room Restaurant offers an array of fresh seafood, steaks and more. Try the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut while enjoying the expansive views of Frenchman's Bay in Hulls Cove. Nestled along the water's edge just two miles from the heart of Bar Harbor, the Chart Room is a classic Maine seafood dining experience that is a favorite of visitors and locals alike! With a full bar, plenty of outdoor seating, cozy tables for two as well as space for your large group gathering, the Chart Room has it all. Enjoy local oysters and cocktails while seated at our new pier, or dine inside on a 12oz prime rib while overlooking the changing tide. We take a limited amount of reservations so that way walk in guests are still able to join us. Our last lunch and dinner of the season will be on October 27th.

Something’s were amazing like the spinach artichoke dip. My flank steak was too fatty and the risotto was inedible. My Gusband liked his flank steak though. So a bit hit or miss.

From the outside, the restaurant looks unassuming, but from the moment we walked in we were impressed. The atmosphere and people were welcoming and the place had a nice ambiance to it. Our server was fantastic as I was torn between two items on the menu and she steered me in the right direction (highly recommend the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut!) My wife and I will always have a restaurant from our honeymoon as our favorite place, but this place has taken second place in our top restaurants!

We loved our dinner here. We sat on the back deck with a beautiful view of the water. I loved my haddock and my husband’s pasta was tasty, if a bit big. The cocktails were really good. Our server was very nice and did not rush us.

The views outside was amazing and our service was good. The food was a let down. The crab dip was just melted cream cheese. We hardly tasted crab for a $22 app. Lobster ravioli had great flavor but it was like they reheated the noodle shell. Definitely great place for ambiance and stunning view. Don’t come starving.

Excellent service, beautiful views. The food was great! Definitely worth stopping in! We came for our anniversary and it was a bit pricey but well worth it! The service was probably the highlight next to the views!

Perfect location, nice staff, good menu, food was fair. This was recommended to us so we were disappointed with the food taste / preparation. One of us had the halibut, another, the haddock, which were supposed to have two different preparations however they looked and tasted very similar and not very flavorful.

Enjoyable and reliable place to have a larger group reservation on a gorgeous sunny patio near BarHarbor without being in the crowds. Easy to park. Excellent service. Very good food.

This place is simply REMARKABLE. The food is absolutely to DIE FOR I do not know where to even begin… the stuffed haddock was our favorite and don’t even get me started on the blueberry pie ESPECIALLY with a scoop of blueberry ice cream. The service is impeccable and the staff is truly so warm and lovely. Shout out to Melissa and Taylor… they are absolute angels and loved having them as our servers! The ambiance of this restaurant just feels like a home away from home. It warm and cozy with a beautiful view. We went on our honeymoon in Maine and my husband and I ate here not once, not twice but THREE TIMES in the span of 5 days because no other restaurant compared. We absolutely love this place and if we ever visit again, we will be back!
