Locally owned and operated for over thirty years, the Chart Room Restaurant offers an array of fresh seafood, steaks and more. Try the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut while enjoying the expansive views of Frenchman's Bay in Hulls Cove. Nestled along the water's edge just two miles from the heart of Bar Harbor, the Chart Room is a classic Maine seafood dining experience that is a favorite of visitors and locals alike! With a full bar, plenty of outdoor seating, cozy tables for two as well as space for your large group gathering, the Chart Room has it all. Enjoy local oysters and cocktails while seated at our new pier, or dine inside on a 12oz prime rib while overlooking the changing tide. We take a limited amount of reservations so that way walk in guests are still able to join us.

The food quality has really gone down hill. Seafood linguine with lister was pricy and has exactly two scallops and four small bits of lobster meat. Terrible. We won’t be back.

I was last here 20-25 years ago as a child with my family on a vacation, it was the first restaurant I ever had a whole lobster dinner. Coming back in 2024, I can say I still love their lobster dinner and still love this restaurant. I recommend going at high tide and again at low tide.

Good was very good but service left a little to be desired. Mussels to start were forgotten and came after our entrees. My wife had a whole lobster but cracker, pick and bib had to be asked for

Our favorite of the many lobster rolls we had on this trip was at The Chart House. Plus the view was spectacular!

We expected the chart room to be “off the charts” in food and ambience. Unfortunately we found the food to be adequate but not special (grilled salmon appeared pre-made and reheated, the lobster meat tough and not sweet). Our server was wonderful, kind, and attentive.

Service was excellent & we loved the food and outdoor seating. This is a great spot with an accommodating kids menu! Our waiter went above and beyond - he really made the experience great for us.

It was fine. I wanted it to be better. We both got the seafood linguine and for $32 we had a huge pile of pasta with 3 regular sized scallops and a handful of tiny, tiny shrimp. The pasta tasted good - it was very rich, but tasty - but for a waterfront seafood restaurant, the seafood was embarrassing, to be honest. Beautiful view and service was good. Maybe we just picked the wrong item on the menu.
