Locally owned and operated for over thirty years, the Chart Room Restaurant offers an array of fresh seafood, steaks and more. Try the Macadamia Nut Crusted Halibut while enjoying the expansive views of Frenchman's Bay in Hulls Cove. Nestled along the water's edge just two miles from the heart of Bar Harbor, the Chart Room is a classic Maine seafood dining experience that is a favorite of visitors and locals alike! With a full bar, plenty of outdoor seating, cozy tables for two as well as space for your large group gathering, the Chart Room has it all. Enjoy local oysters and cocktails while seated at our new pier, or dine inside on a 12oz prime rib while overlooking the changing tide. We take a limited amount of reservations so that way walk in guests are still able to join us. Our last lunch and dinner of the season will be on October 27th.

We had a table by the window overlooking the ocean coast at low tide with people walking around the land that was covered with 8 feet of water 12 hours earlier.

The views from our table were lovely. Staff were all friendly and attentive. Food took quite awhile to arrive. The food was just ok. Price was too high for the quality. Paying more for the view I believe.

The Lobster raviolis were absolute highlight of our weekend in ME. Thank you for this delight. Must say the crab dip was incredible cheesy goodness.

Food is wonderful and have been going there for at least 8 or 9 years when we come up to Bar Harbor. Service is excellent as well.

Absolutely delicious food & dessert!!! We enjoyed oysters, lobster carbonara, prime rib, and blueberry pie. Everything was very very good! I definitely recommend

The chart room was very old school feeling. Loved out server Max. The smoked salmon appetizer was not what we expected. Not fresh sliced smoked salmon but almost kippered salmon that seemed like a grab from a vat and slap on the plate kind of deal with crackers that looked like they came from Costco. The lobster and halibut entrees were tasty but I think the food is overpriced considering the ambiance and presentation. We had a nice time but I’d have a hard time recommending this place.

Driving by on Hwy 3 I would have probably ignored this restaurant, but looks can be deceiving. We walked into a comfortable, inviting restaurant. The weather felt a little cool so we chose inside seating and scored a table next to the window. Matthew was our server and he was amazing. He was helpful with our choices and understood that we weren’t in a rush even though we never said it. The portions were so generous we easily split everything we ordered. The Caesar salad was fresh with plenty of shaved Parmesan. The halibut was delicious although it needed a little salt. Dessert was our first piece of blueberry pie in New England. The only thing wrong was we should have ordered it with ice cream.
