   Myself and my other half went on Valentine's Day (which is also my birthday). The atmosphere was lovely. The staff were wonderful. The food was out of this world, it was so good. I had venison and it was cooked to perfection. My other half more then approved of his ribeye steak. Pudding was glorious (The staff were happy to put a candle in mine when my boyfriend requested. It was a lovely surprise when it came out). My only complaint is that there wasn't any more of it. Haha! As for values for money, it was under £30 for a two course meal - but on Valentine's! Don't be put off. Honestly, well worth the money. I absolutely enjoyed. Everything was amazing. Will be definitely booking another table there on our next trip to Edinburgh.

   I booked the restaurant for a pre-theatre supper for my friend and I on 13 February. I do not recall seeing that there was only a Valentine's Day menu and as there was a family there with a young child, I am guessing it was not made very clear at all . Anyway Valentines menu was £39- no à la carte, no pre-theatre menu. Consequently although the food was, as ever, very good, it was expensive and in our opinion not good value for money. I have eaten in the restaurant before and had been looking forward to my meal, but I was a little bit disappointed in them for hiking up the prices and leaving no choice of menu.

   We visited on Saturday night and had a great meal. The menu was very varied and all the food beautifully presented and tasted fabulous! Our 10 year old daughter had Venison steak for the first time and loved it! Very attentive service too, would definitely recommend it.

   I booked this restaurant for NYE and yes I expected it to be busy. However we were crammed into a tiny table at the end of an alcove which was fine until we realised the two large loud groups in the centre off the alcoves noise passed around like a whispering dish straight to us so it was literally impossible to have a conversation. We were then informed that instead of the menu advertised online there was a set menu with half the choice luckily neither of us were vegetarians as this would have made it more difficult. The food however was excellent slightly small portions but good enough my desert was awful but the other one was pretty good so mixed. Food 7.5/10 Ambience 2/10 Service 3/10 probably pretty good on a quiet night with the normal menu otherwise avoid unless you're really stuck!

   Excellent meal, the food was very good and the service was brilliant. We ate hear for New Years eve. The restaurant was fully booked but so well organised that there was very little waiting despite how buy they were. Each course was cooked to perfection and the staff serving were very attentive without being over fussy. Would definitely eat there again and recommend it to my friends

   Different to what I expected as u go downstairs from street level. However, service was mainly attentive and food was "lunch" sized portions though priced accordingly. Very tasty for all three of us selected different choices and we're all happy with quality. I would visit again. Thanks servers and kitchen

    A very lovely evening, food very good, as well as the service. Only small downside, was pretty noisy - but it is leading up to Christmas.
