Our beautiful 15th century pub sits in the scenic village of Brindle between Chorley and Preston, Lancashire. With its low ceilings and original beams contrasting with the wonderful stained glass windows it really is a little country gem. We offer superb home cooked pub food, using local produce. We are also very proud of our selection of carefully selected cask ales which can be consumed in one of our delightful snug rooms or in our spacious and well kept outdoor garden and patio.

                                                                                                                        Visited with friends for the first time in a couple of years on a Wednesday evening. Staff friendly and refurbished soft furnishings toned in well. We had the 3 courses for £10 offer which was ridiculous value. No reduction in portion sizes or quality which was very pleasing. Can't see how they can continue with it for that price! Only problem was the background 'musack' which we found intrusive and tinny and not in keeping with the ambience of an old inn at all.

It's not the absolute best but is good for a casual Sunday lunch. The service is very good though - they are attentive but not intrusive - and the place has a nice, casual feel. Overall, a nice experience in a nice country pub.

There was 7 of us altogether (including a 4 year old) and everyone of us enjoyed our meal. I had the stuffed chicken which tasted as good as it looked. The place was relaxed, the staff friendly, service excellent and the price was reasonable. I hope to go back very soon.

                                                                                                                        Had a really lovely lunchtime birthday meal here. Having checked the menu online I found plenty of choice for each of us. The food was excellent and presented well. The group consisted of three generations, with the youngest being 13 years old. For most of our meal it was very quiet, I think people were likely doing their Christmas shopping, however this was nice for us as we had a long 'catch up' chat. I have already recommended this restaurant to some friends for our next 'catch up' meal!

This was not a problem for them and when we did arrive there was a good choice of tables. The staff were all very friendly, and the service was quick without being pushy. The food was good - tasty and satisfying with good portion sizes. We'll quite happily go back now we know how good they are.

                                                                                                                        The food was excellent and good value for money, their was just one meal which was not exactly as described, which was the Tex Mex Chilli it should have had chilli beans and sour cream, both were missing from the meal. The chef had added some chips in addition to the rice which was not on the menu, this could have been due to the chilli beans not being present but no information was given in respect of this despite asking at the end of the meal. Regarding the sour cream I was informed that it was 'split' The steak was cooked to perfection and was very enjoyable and the person who had the haddock and prawn enjoyed it. The ambiance is good and their was enough privacy around our table to have a conversation that was not overheard. The staff were pleasant though they did not return to the table to ask how the meal was and if there were any problems. We would certainly visit again but ensure that everything that should be in a meal is available. One other thing is that we looked at the menu online prior to booking and the prices on there are not correct, it appears that the prices have risen since it was put online.

                                                                                                                        The Cavendish Arms is on our doorstep so ideal. We booked a table for our wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were told that food would be 30 minutes which it was. I asked for another drink which never came or we had finished our food and didn't need it when the waitress came to tell us it was on its way. We left the veg as it was brown...not fresh. Wouldn't rush back based on this experience.
