Everything was satisfactory except for parking. I appreciate the waiter's patience, especially when there were children. I liked the food in general, especially the coffee ice cream for dessert and the chocolate of the cubic.

Great service. Everyone from the hostess/manager, server (Hugo) and bus person were amazing. Hugo had a large party and another server came and took our drink and starter order. The bus person was so extremely polite and knowledgeable. Hugo was very attentive even though he had the other large party to attend. The food was wonderful. It’s nice to receive amazing service. Everyone seems like they enjoy their job. It must be because of very good management!

We always have a great time at The Cavalier. The food is excellent and the service impeccable. It’s a great place to grab a fantastic meal or share tasty apps before catching a show at the Golden Gate Theatre.

I was so happy to see that the cavalier had survived the pandemic and was still open. I went very early at 5 PM, and instead of a dinner, I had three appetizers. The squash blossoms, the tomato tart, and the scallops. They were all delicious. Everything I’ve ever had at Cavalier has been delicious.

Great place for business meetings, if you are okay with a fairly loud environment (though manageable, I was able to hear everyone at my table of 6 for the most part). The food was great. Simple enough to please many different tastes but everything we tried (the salmon, the fish & chips, and the burger) were all really highly recommended. We also had the oysters and brussels sprouts for appetizers, which were equally delicious.

Marlowe Burger with Fries and a Pea Soup. Both were delicious but the soup arrived at the table cold and had to go back to be heated. Also, horseradish aioli? The horseradish is overpowering. Maybe some plain aioli could be an option.

Nice bright spot in our downtown. We were looking for somewhere to dine before heading to the Golden Gate Theater and this was a great location for that. We were made to feel very welcome, given a nice corner table and enjoyed the food, the presentation and the attentive service.

Every dish was even better than we thought it was going to be. Don't skip the deviled eggs, burrata & beets, and pork chop. Our server was really fun and great, and also made our anniversary very special!

Server charged me for drinks I returned and was told she would remove (there were two drinks I didn’t like). Plus the restaurant removed my favorite cocktail off the menu, come to find out. The Cavelier used to be one of my favorite restaurants in SF, but sadly I don’t think I’ll be returning. I’ve dropped all expectations at most establishments due to how the service industry has been, but wasn’t expecting that at Cavelier.

The cocktails were great. However the food was okay. Besides the brussel sprouts chips I thought the food was marginal. The house salad was odd with a strong blue cheese tasting cheese admist some old romaine salad greens. The fish and chips were terrible. Using a fish other than cod made the fish not stick to the fried layer of flour, etc. The bread pudding desert was basic, tasted like it was pre done elsewhere and nothing special about it. It was my 55th birthday and had high hopes for Cavalier but unfortunately it did not do it for me. We will not be back.

There were mice in the dining room and not the taxidermist type! I sent word to the management group and never heard back! Wouldn't recommend to anyone except a hungry cat!
