Cold, lacked atmosphere (no one was there) and chicken and waffles was not on the menu. They made it especially for us, but it was a long wait. Food made up for it though - but chicken and waffles should always be on the menu!

Booked a table which was confirmed but the table wasn't ready. Got a small table as a fix and had to wait a while for service. Apart from that great ambience, the staff were overwhelmed but helped as best as possible

The previous menu was so much better than the new menu. I do believe the change of menu was a mistake for the carter. the jerk & fried chicken was epic. Unfortunately the pizza bases where just to hard and unfortunately the food was disappointing this time round. I think if they kept the old menu we would go back. Also the beers where not cold per the beer drinkers at our table. The wait staff however and bar tenders where fantastic , friendly and helpful. very good service from all the staff.

I only say yes due to the gimmick side of the whole Jay Z and Beyoncé experience - food/drink names, few photos, signs around the place that say The Carter. When I went the place was very empty with two other couples there and had one waitstaff/bartender on. On the menu it had listed the signature drink with ingredients - Drunk In Love cocktail, being Valentines I had ordered this but was told that the manager makes the drinks and since he wasn’t there, the only person behind the bar didn’t know the measurements for the ingredients so I wouldn’t be able to order it. That was very disappointing. The food that my partner and I had ordered was served in big portions but it was more of a quantity over quality. I really don’t rate the food there at all. I think The Carter must make the money from the nightclub over the weekends as from what I saw I don’t think it’d survive.

Terrrible - ruined my birthday celebration. They had “run out” of chicken burgers and chicken and waffles at 7.10pm, despite being a “restaurant” at that time, completely empty and only opening at 5pm. Hot VIP booths without aircon, upstairs VIP bar not open meaning we had to walk downstairs each time we wanted to order a drink or any food, huge fights involving scary looking people engulfed the dance floor. All of us were kicked out before midnight and the venue kept my cake and all my presents. Avoid at all costs.

Hello, you were asked to leave the venue as you were very intoxicated, security and management are allowed to do this. The bar being shut on top level was explained to you at the beginning of the night as you were asked if you would of liked to be relocated somewhere else but you did not want to. I am really sorry that our waffles and chicken had run out its very popular.

The Carter is the only club I go to ! Excellent happy hour selection, friendly staff, great atmosphere and the beats are amazing. Great for small to large groups looking to party a night away !! Oh and you HAVE to try the fried chicken and waffles !

I don’t write many reviews, but this place for a weekday lunch option is a disgrace. Two staff for the busiest Friday of the year. Not sure who owns this place but it’s not a lunch venue.

40 something group of friends celebrating birthday on Sat night. Loved the music and ambiance. Food was nice, staff friendly and accomodating but my Aperol Spritz took a bit too long to prep and they forgot the orange wedges!! 🤨. Didn't feel old until the Gen Y's came in droves after 11pm. Time to leave about 12am when old school vibes turned to modern weird RnB?? And DJ kept cutting songs up way too much. Overall great night. Thanks to staff too. Would def visit again but for older crowd suggest getting there at 7ish and exiting by midnight!
