I had the ceviche, the palisade peach and ricotta salad and the home baked banana bread. Everything was absolutely amazing.

I’m sorry Carlin however you are missing the mark in several areas . First a confusion on which table we are to sit at when we arrive at 5:30pm and the restaurant is hardly occupied. Then we wanted to enjoy a glass of wine and your wine selection by glass is so limited you cannot find a quality glass of wine yet you still are charging 18 or 19/ glass for a 6 oz pour. We had the Pinot by the way. Next the tiger prawn app was perfect and delicious yet quite skimpy with the cocktail sauce. The crab claws was a total miss with drawn butter with only three very small claws for the price. Finally the lobster wrap was disappointing again skimpy on the lobster, and the trout, seriously prepared nicely but turned over on the plate with skin side up so I needed to flip it over myself. A nice size trout but had no elevated flavors or enhancement, just a simply prepared trout a huge disappointment for 52 dollars for sure. These locals felt like you simply want to charge more and provide less at every turn. Had two reservations in the future to take visiting family and friends and was glad we made a trial visit. Have canceled the future reservation. We are not all visiting tourists and are constantly looking for good reliable dining value in our beautiful county.

We celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday at The Carlin in Breckenridge, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Set right in the heart of town, the location made it easy to enjoy a sunset stroll through charming streets before and after dinner, the perfect setting for a special evening. The food was exceptional. We feasted on fresh oysters, a smoky and addictive fish dip, tender and flavorful salmon, and an unforgettable duck dish that was rich, perfectly cooked, and beautifully plated. Every bite reflected care, creativity, and high-quality ingredients. Even the cherry tomatoes were a delight. The service was warm and attentive, making us feel celebrated from start to finish. It was the kind of evening that leaves a lasting impression…elevated yet approachable, and filled with heart. The Carlin is a true gem in Breckenridge. We’ll absolutely be back. Thank you to the GM Greyson and his wonderful team.

I am gluten free, and the Carlin has excellent options that are rare for GF: Hush puppies, firecracker shrimp, and fish & chips - all delicious. We went for Happy Hour, which is a great deal and much less crowded than the dinner rush. Would recommend again!
