Always a great experience at the Capital Grille. The service is always excellent as is the delicious steak sandwich and calamari for lunch. Michael takes great care of us in the bar area. Our favorite Fairfax lunch spot.

We waited 30 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Yes, the restaurant was crowded but we did not expect a long wait for our food once we had ordered. I don’t think we took a first bite until an hour after we arrived.

Everything runs very smoothly at the Capital Grille. The decor of the restaurant is lovely. The menu is great. The food is always hot. You don't feel rushed if you want to linger with your guests. I take special people there and usually pick up the tab.

My family frequents the Capital Grille. We came for Mother's Day and while the food was excellent as usual, the day was dampered as our server Kahlid, did not give my mother a rose and chocolates at the conclusion of the meal. This would not have been an issue but we observed EVERY other server giving out roses and chocolates to the moms (even our server Khalid who gave roses and chocolates to the table right next to us!). I brought it to the attention of the managing partner, Sara, and she fixed the issue. Unfortunately, this was a DEFINITE snub by our server, which I hope was not related to race (we are the same race as our server). He seemed surprised that this was not our first time at the restaurant. We were definitely treated poorly and my mother did not deserve that.

The waiter brought everything out separately 5-10 minutes apart. I ate my entire steak before the sides came. I ordered the appetizer special, it didn’t come until our steaks were served. We bought a bottle of champagne, and he almost poured it in our wine glasses before we stopped him and asked for flutes. I ordered a drink from the bar, I had to ask for it 3 times. My medium rare steak was almost over cooked to the point of well done. It was the bone in special $100 steak… so dryyyyyyyy. Won’t go back.

Dishonest server, overpriced yet not good quality food. Don’t order their surf and turf because they will bring you a bill for two dinner entrees, one for the surf (lobster tail) and one for the turf (steak) even though I confirmed the price before ordering. Will never go back, ever!!! I would have given “0”s if allowed. It is just that terrible.

We celebrated my mother's 84th birthday at Capital Grille - Fairfax. The wait staff were very attentive but not intrusive. Food was fantastic and well prepared! Would recommend the beef tartar as well as the tuna tartar (we're obviously not afraid of the raw stuff). The giant shrimp cocktail was also delicious as was the brussel sprouts (do not miss the brussels). The beef entrees were cooked perfectly and the fish were fresh and delicious! They made a special happy birthday dessert plate for my mom and we also had the coconut cream pie (another not to miss dish). Overall, it was a great experience and we will definitely be back for future meals and celebrations. Thanks!

The restaurant setup some decorations on the table for our dinner and gave us a card. That was a very kind gesture. Our food was very good overall. The only complaint on the food was the Cesar salad. It didn’t look or taste fresh and crisp, it also contained some of the lettuce cores which should not be on a plate at such a high end restaurant. The main downside was the service. Our waiter disappeared for extensive periods of time. Not the typical service we normally get at the Capital Grille, but even more so on a special occasion. This ruined our dinner to the point that we asked for the check from another staff and decided not to even bother with the dessert because we just wanted to leave. Hope this was just an off night for this location and the staff can be better trained.

We celebrated our anniversary and from beginning to the end of the meal was amazing. Our head waiter (Brian McG) was incredible and went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend asking for him especially if celebrating a special occasion. The food was top-notch and everything was prepared exactly as asked. Kudos to the chefs and entire staff. We love coming to Capital Grille especially this location.

Fantastic food and service. Really enjoyed dinner. A little pricey for some of what we got and the Halibut was slightly overcooked. Other guests said it was the best steak they have had in over 10 years! All in all a great experience and will be back again.

Shawna at the bar is outstanding! The server Chris was very good, and the manager on that evening, Lina, made our visit one of the best. I will visit this location over the others going forward. Great service for a very busy Saturday night without asking. Remarkable!! The food is always exceptionally great!
